The staff at Hotel Los Tambos Boutique were first class! They offered us a free upgrade as we were on our honeymoon and provided a sweet welcome gift in our room. Milagros at the front desk was wonderful and so accommodating.

The upgraded Queen room with a balcony we were given is facing the street where a bar/restaurant is located and it is very loud at night. Despite wearing ear plugs, I could hear music until about 05:00 in the morning. They were unable to change our room due to existing reservations , but (without us asking) Milagros contacted their sister hotel. We met Eduardo at the Los Tambos Colonial and he gave us a tour of the property and showed us several available rooms prior to us switching over. Although we lost the free upgrade, we were able to rest more comfortably and that was 100% worth it. I would recommend Los Tambos Boutique and advise requesting an interior room that is farther away from the street if you’re a light sleeper like me.

WC has a hole connecting all rooms which make sound isolation really poor. You can listen other guests very clear

You could hear everything. Walls seems to be from cardboard.

* Lovely helpful staff and great position just along from the Plaza de Armas. * Great rooftop terraces and observation deck which provided a spectacular view of Arequipa at sunset, looking over the cathedral to the mountains behind. * Nice panoramic breakfast served on the 4th floor

* Rooms to the front of the property technically have a balcony, but not really enough to sit out on (no worries though, we used the rooftop terraces) * Also rather noisy outside, but then we were in a very central position, so again, not a huge issue. * Only slight gripe was the hot water - took an absolute age to warm up...although it did eventually (if you didn't touch the cold tap!) * Oh and tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been a nice touch.

Amazing bedding and towels. Helpful staff. Everything is very clean. Heat and hot water! Location is very convenient - walking distance to all major attraction points. I had booked a top floor room with a balcony and a view similar to that of the hotel's breakfast terrace. You are first immediately facing a neighbouring roof and some small construction, but using some imagination, you can see the rest of Arequipa from above, surrounded by mountains. If you look down, you can observe Arequipa's life on a busy street in front of the hotel.

While mine was probably the best room in the hotel, it got extremely noisy. The noise is from the street, as well as extremely loud cleaning of breakfast cafeteria at 6:30 AM. I could count the exact number of chairs that were banged on the floor (probably when bringing them down from tables).

We really like this hotel alot. We were able to check in earlier for 15$ but includes breakfast which is awesome. Have variety of breakfast. The Chef (we forgot the name 🙏) and Sonia who served us great breakfast always 😍. What we like the most is very very clean & comfortable bed (linen and comforter does smell, look and feel clean). Hot and strong shower after long trek or journey is the best. We even leave our luggage for our trek for days and come back for it. And we forgot our console connected to tv they returned to us. Which very nice. Thats why we stay again for 2 more nights. The terrace and another roof top have a nice view of the mountains. They provide toilet kit with nail file, sachet of sun block, shampoo, soap, cotton buds, facial cotton and facial wipes. When we return they even have welcome letter and chocolates in our bed. Small things but its nice 😍. Highly recommend it. Nice and English speaking staff. Sanitizer in every floor. Awesome location. Photos as per advertise so i will add some photos that for me is info.

Location is unbeatable. They cleaned our room every day. Breakfast was by far the best we had in Peru. Staff were really kind and helped us booked taxis and do laundry as we needed. Free tea and coffee station was perfect after our excursions.

We liked everything really, the room was on the small side but that didn’t bother us at all since it was kept clean every day.

We loved this hotel because it felt somehow familiar and cozy. We were sick a few days, so we spent a lot of time in the room. Our room had a small (but long) balcony facing the main street and was very luminous. The bed was super comfortable. The staff in this hotel was really welcoming and nice all the time. Breakfast was great, with fresh juices and fruits and options to chose from, probably one of the best we had in Peru. They also gave us breakfast boxes on the day we couldn't make for breakfast, which had a bit of everything. Location is really close to the main square and everything is at walking distance.

Street in which the hotel located is very noisy, but this is a normal thing in Peru and can't be avoided. Ear plugs help to sleep. Less product in plastic could give a more premium feel.

This hotel feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect (right next to Plaza de Armas), staff is extremely attentive and friendly, the room is very comfortable and clean and when you wake up a delicious breakfast is waiting for you (with different options to choose from). I would definitely book again if I ever return to Arequipa.
