Hotel is located on a beatiful private beach with coral reef 50m from the hotel. All houses are front beach and equipped with all you could expect in such a place. Staff is extremely nice, professional and helpful. You can arrange privatw tours at decent price.

I am always hungry so meals and snacks could be bigger :). Nothing major - just personal preference

Amazing location with such wonderful staff. You are so close to nature here and it’s a privilege to experience this. The monkeys are so funny, and there’s so much wildlife amongst the accommodation. We felt taken care of from start to finish, from the moment we got on the speed boat to the island to being dropped right at Coron for our follow on trip. The food on the island is incredible, and all inclusive is such a wonderful way to have a holiday. You don’t have to organise or think about anything, you just show up on time and get delicious, fresh, healthy wonderful authetic Filipino food (with a twist). Cannot say enough good things about the food! The resort is idyllic, and the Bahay Kubo style beach huts are so beautifully constructed. They new bathrooms are lovely, and you don’t mind the cold water as it’s very refreshing. I would say the accommodation is basic, but you are on an island so people should try manage their expectations better. Also, please bear in mind that these resorts have been closed for al of covid. They are trying their best to get back to full working capacity, with the same global issues we are all facing. People should be a little more considerate of that too. The resort is run fantastically and offer a truly unique experience. The island is out in the middle of nowhere, but you can get a boat trip to island hop around Coron, which was fantastic. I also like how they grouped us with another family which made the day even more enjoyable, cheaper and more sustainable (full boats better than empty boats). The focus on sustainability and eco awareness in this resort truly is exceptional and we felt like we were in a place that really cares about their local environment. They employ local people and use only local food. Lastly the bar is one of the nicest spots I’ve ever been, beautiful for sunsets! The bar staff are also brilliant

As it’s a dive resort, the activities are pretty centred around diving obviously. We tried to book a massage two days in a row but it wasn’t available, and other than kayaking and snorkelling there isn’t much else to do that’s not a whole day drip / off the island. This was fine for us but just bear it in mind if you’re looking for additional activities. Something like yoga would be a very nice addition to activities, or maybe some nature walks.

This was hands down the most beautiful and amazing location I have stayed at. Sangat island is a divine location. We got lucky to be there in the low season and for a while had the island entirely to ourselves while still having great sunny clear weather. Quite a unique and amazing experience. I can’t express how relaxed and relieved I felt the 2 and a half days I spent at the island. The water is amazing, you can snorkel, dive, swim, kayak. I played basketball with the staff which was quite fun. Everyone that worked there was super cool, chill and friendly. Special shout out to Esther who did a great job taking care of us, and who became a friend. I also want to give a special shout out to Tom the diving instructor. It was one of my favourite experiences to go Scuba diving. We were slightly reticent at first but it was great to leave the comfort zone and what a blessing. This is the best resort you can go to for Scuba diving. On our first dive we had the opportunity to go to a WWII destroyer wreck. I will remember this first dive for the rest of my life and will probably do many more because of it. Tom was an excellent instructor that made me feel at ease while still pushing me to do better. I also consider him a friend after that. Highly recommend. Please do the diving if you visit Sangat, it would be a real waste not to (there are several more cool wrecks to dive).

The only downside the hotel has is that the bungalows are a little primitive. This is fine if you are ok with the rustic nature of it. I can only speak for the bungalow we were in, but the others are probably similar. The bathroom was quite lacking (in size and the shower was not great). There were some insects roaming all over the place. Like I said, this is fine, it is an isolated island after all. Simply is not high end luxury. With some more investment this island resort would jump to the next level because the location essentially cannot be beaten.

Diving: what is not to love about the close proximity to the wrecks. The onsite dive and support team, managed by Tom, were excellent. We also enjoyed shore diving the house reef, particularly for night dives. The location: beautiful natural surroundings and cheeky monkeys. The hotel property: all the buildings were simple, elegant and designed to compliment the natural environment. We particularly loved the hammocks underneath our bungalow which were perfect for a post diving reading/napping session. Food and drink: authentic Filipino food. We thought the meals were delicious and varied with most including a meat dish, a fish/seafood dish and a vegetable dish. Depending on the number of guests, meals were either served to your table or presented as a buffet. We also loved the cocktails... The staff also took note that hungry divers appreciate a snack between the 1st and 2nd dives which was the only thing we thought was missing. Hospitality: relaxed island vibes. All the staff were kind and welcoming. We also enjoyed chit-chatting with fellow guests over drinks. We recommend and would love to return.

We booked that place for diving and I was very satisfied with its location right next to the wrecks. The resort took charge of us at the ferry and drove us to a small port, then a boat ride to the island. Same when we left. There is a very nice house reef for snorkeling or diving from the hotel. There are hammocks everywhere if you want to just read or chill and there is a pool table. There is WIFI connection and it works (only in the common area) We took kayaks and SUP to check out the nearby hot spring. the access was a bit difficult, but its a nice activity with the kids. The staff is nice and friendly. Thanks to Esther who took the time every day to check on how was our stay and take care of our many special food requests :-)

I really need to scratch my head to find something to improve... The huts are a bit old so do not expect a fancy place. The rental material (Kayaks and SUP) needs upgrade. The kitchen staff do not understand English so we got our orders lost or mixed up a few times.

The service staff was fantastic, providing custom meals as needed. The facilities are always clean. The activities are easy to access and schedule. The remote, quiet atmosphere exceeded our expectations.

The internet access was terrible. Would have liked a curated seminar on the marine life or coral reef that we were exploring. The dive-shop personnel are excellent with the technical aspects of diving but less informed on marine life. Even a few youtube videos specific to this island providing knowledge about the reefs, the area, the typical life we would explore. Provide a plastic fish chart.

We stayed for 3 nights in January 2024. From the transfer from the airport via taxi and speedboat pulling up to this gorgeous island, through to great dive instructors (Jazz and Gabriel) and dive spots, this place was fantastic. Definitely recommend for those looking for quiet remote island life with such easy access to good varied dives, great quality full board food and spotting wildlife as well- we saw monkeys and a hornbill! The dives themselves included WW2 shipwrecks and multiple reefs and night diving which was a first for us! Esther in the restaurant, Tom at the dive shop, Asma on reception and all the other staff were so friendly and made our stay so memorable thank you! We are so glad we opted for this over coron town for the majority of our time in coron (we did 1 night in town at the end which was much more bustly, still fun but more lively!). We were able to take the day tour to coron island from Sangat resort as well (and they let us take our luggage and dropped us to our next stop in coron town on their way home too which was a touch). We would love to return so hope to be back again some day! Thank you Sangat

Diving is super organised with many dives per day at different times. The dive center is well equipped with excellent dive instructors. You can dive on a wide range of ship wrecks and reefs with almost all of them being 5-10min from the resort using their dive boats. The location is very peaceful and quiet surrounded by nature (including monkeys!). The reef right in front of the resort beach is clear with amazing coral selection. Kayaking to the nearby hot mineral water spa that flows into the sea is a bit of an adventure but well worth it if you are ok with 30-40min kayaking on the sea each way. We did it and loved it.

The food quality was variable, some meals were excellent others less so. Also portions were generally small, only dinner in the evening is actually a buffet. Also breakfast was very basic, just eggs plus a few slices of white bread most days. Jam some days also or fruit, others not. There is a lot of room for improvement on the food side of things especially for breakfast. Filipino breakfasts are excellent with many options, these were never available. Lack of beach towels is a shame, you have to use the room towels. Some additional attention is needed to kayaks and sporting equipment, ours half sank when we were quite far from the resort which was potentially dangerous if we had encountered bad weather.

The coral reefs are just in front of the Resort. The staff, particularly the manager of the restaurant, were very friendly.

Breakfast ends early (at 09:00 am). Daily tours are very expensive. There is no too much variety for breakfast. There is little fish in number and variety in the corals in front of the resort. Most of the day time, it is liw-tide. And, the beach part of the sea (event some parts of coral reefs) is almost fully covered by sea weeds. Hence, the beach is not good to swim. There was no black tea served. Internet is very poor.

The snorkeling was excellent. Beautiful coral gardens just off the beach from your nipa hut. Pass Island tour was also very nice and included snorkeling a gunboat wreck from World War II.

The dining room ran out of main course and side item options several times, leaving guests to fill up on salad and rice. Needs better organization and servers to portion out meals until everyone has been served. No excuse for running out of main course when there is only one option.
