The sunset from the restaurant and the pool is incredible. The superior double room (river cottage) is very spacious and well decorated. Also provides intimacy, as it is separated from others. Location is far from Coron, but if you have transport, althout it is far (45 minutes) you are half way to ocam and also you are in the middle of nowhere, which for me is a huge plus.

Bugs everywhere. Ok, we are in the Philippines, in the middle of nowhere - bugs are expected. But the room is FULL of them. If it is not cleaned then expect to have ants in your bed - that's too much. The restaurant is an absolute disaster. The food is pricy and awful. Everything is frozen (no fresh fish in Coron, really?) and the cooling is subpar. Maintenance is also bad - things broken everywhere. It is a pity, because with the amazing location, spacious rooms and beautiful architecture, , with some good management, this place could be an absolute blast.

Can’t go wrong with this one. It was a last minute decision for us. Stayed 5 nights and it was the best possible choice we could have made. The Manageress Mam Rap was very responsive, friendly and professional. She didn’t hesitate to resolve any of our various requests from needing to get toothpaste to after- sun cream. Her team was so helpful and made us feel very welcome and cared for. The location is excellent. It’s private, with insanely beautiful views and so much to do!! If you don’t want to adventure, then cocktails by the pool or bar or restaurant are all set up beautifully for lounging with stunning scenery of the cove. Our waiter Alan served us for a private romantic dinner and also hiked our food up to the cabin for room service multiple times with a big smile :) and lastly our wonderful Guide JR made for the most adventurous and safe excursions diving and hiking and paddle boarding. Please do check him out. Friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. The team at MDS are really excellent and it was very hard for us to leave. Thank you so much xxx

All our stay was amazing! We had an amazing villa, with amazing view, a really comfy bed, the AC was working perfectly. The staff was always ready to help and really nice. We wanted badly to eat a cordonbleau and although it was not available, they made their best to ask the chef to prepare for us, and they did it. We also ordered sometimes drinks and they brought us in the room, so we were able to watch the sunset from our anazing terrace. We did also a boat tour with them, sharing the price with other guest: it was really relaxing and well organized. And yes, there were some insects in the room, but people please remember that you are in the Philippines and surrounded by nature.

Calm, private setting. Very good food. Very nice staff. Easy to book private tours departing right from the hotel. There’s a diving centre located within the hotel and great diving spots in the vicinity. You can rent a scooter from the hotel. Great views.

WiFi in the rooms is not a standard. Airport transfer and laundry service rather pricey.

Amazing welcome from all the staff, nothing was ever too much trouble. Little touches, like my name skillfully written on the blackboard to welcome us. Fabulous room, spectacular! The smell of fresh laundry and the overall cleanliness blew us away. Huge Kingsize bed. Only 14 villas, so a small intimate experience and the views... OMG stunning. Rented a kayak to visit the abandoned sea plane. Happy hour 3pm-8pm with complimentary nibbles, bottles of cool drinking water delivered to our pool-side loungers..... Did I mention the views! :)

This is not criticism, but constructive feedback. We didn't know there was a dive centre, perhaps sending a link to all activities prior to arrival or more information in the room. Also, more information on massage and beauty treatments.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marina de Sol. Rooms are not the cheapest in the area but you get good value as the room and facilities were great, pool, paddle board, snorkelling, kayak (their kayak even has cushions!). The food was very good and everything was reasonably priced (drinks, massage, tours etc..) We took a private island tour (we did black island - highly recommended) everything was prepared for us by the tour guide (towels, snorkelling gear, food, drinks). They also provide massage service at your room (the masseuse was very good). They even had a full moon dining experience the night before, which unfortunately we missed out on. The service we had was excellent and very professional. Rica and her team really did a great job making us feel welcomed and assisting us with everything we need. We would definitely be back again

WiFi was only accesible from the reception area. I wish they could install some WiFi extenders so you have WiFi access throughout the hotel!

The staff there is incredible. We stayed over Christmas and they were super friendly with us, despite they were working during public holiday. The rooms and bathroom we stayed in were pretty big and comfortable! The swimming pool is cool and they rent SUP and Kayak to explore the surrounding mangroves, beautiful, totally recommended. The dive centre is also downstaris from the resort, so perfect for divers!

The place is very secluded. If you get there by public transport or taxi, you are basically stuck there (which is not a bad thing for 1 or 2 days). Also, there are many gecko's poos in the room, every hour you find some new ones... not sure if there is anything to do for this matter, really, as it's just mother nature :)

Staff was exceptional. Went above and beyond expectations to meet your needs and always added a personal touch. Would stay here alone for the staff. The isolation, nature, and views are definitely top notch you really are isolated even on a small town island.

Keep in mind it is 40-60mins from the town proper and rides are hard to come by. I suggest renting a car or motorcycle. Brown outs can happen but are normally brief just be prepared in any case.

The place is beautiful, surrounded by greenery and the sea. The pool by the sea is amazing and the food at the restaurant is very good. The room is very spacious and you get your own private terrace with a large sofa and hanging mat.

The windows in the room were not clean, very dirty, which is a shame as everything else is beautiful. But it wasn't nice to shower while looking through a very dirty window overlooking the bay. Also, there is no door between the room and the bathroom so I made my husband get out every time I had to go number 2.

Staff, location (especially it being right in the middle of nature), ease of booking tours (Ask for the banca boat Angela! loved the guides Noel and Wilson!) and such beautiful rooms. Really lovely stay overall. Will be back again 100%

Better WIFI in restaurant and having it in the rooms would be nice. And more vegetarian options on the menu!
