The location is brilliant, it's clean and staff are helpful. Kitchen has plenty of utensils so you can cook quite easily. Hammocks on the balcony were a lovely way to spend the evening. Tour we went on through the accommodation was good quality and good value. We were concerned at our room being fan only but it kept it cool. The shared bathroom was well maintained.

The only downside was that being so close to the beach you can hear some of the other resorts music. This isn't AivyMaes fault and it isn't too bothersome, nothing ear plugs can't fix!

This is the place to stay in Dauin! Right on the beach with beach chairs. Great snorkelling! The staff and owner are amazing and will help you with anything. Free breakfast, free coffee or tea, free drinking water! Great communal area to share stories. Beer is available at resort. Very laid back with dive/snorkel available as well. Close to other restaurants. Wifi worked great even in room. I stayed in the dorm and was very comfortable. Each bed has there own fan, mosquito net and room for your luggage. Very safe. Plugs in close to bed. Bathrooms were always clean and spacious with hot water. I would recommend this resort over any other one plus I believe it’s the cheapest. I went on the Apo Island dives and did 3 shore dives! Some of the best diving with Nudibranchs ever!! Do the Pier Dive - it’s worth it!!

Very friendly staff! Thank you for the stay. I stayed in the 4 bed dorm, it was clean, had mosquito nets, and a private porch with hammocks in for lounging. Right on the beach front. Breakfast was provided for, full kitchen, easy to use. Hot showers also available here. Mark even gave me a free lift into town! Thank you aivymaes, will definitely be recommending this place to any traveller looking for a place in Dauin.

One thing however, the toilets were blocked and the showers wouldn't drain properly, also they provided dish soap to wash your hands with. Could have used some basic comforts and care in the bathroom.

The meals included with Apo Island day trip were fantastic. Having space to relax at the resort (either in hammocks or beach chairs) was great. Location was perfect for snorkelling in the marine sanctuary and enjoying the beach.

Kitchen was a little bit cramped. Our shower door was broken. The neighbour (or part of same property?) was doing very loud metal fabrication at 7am in the morning.

It was difficult leaving this simple beach life resort. I did two mixed snorkel/dive trips with AivyMaes to Apo Island. As a snorkeler the first time and as a diver the second, I thought they did a great job serving both groups. Dive and resort staff were great. I had a fan only bungalow and I was comfortable with the 26C nights.

I was woken several times by the barking of dogs. I felt that it would be difficult to find accommodation in the area away from barking.

Communication before check in was smooth. Room is nice with hammocks in the front. Location is directly at the beach with private beach chairs. Staff was super nice and friendly, the local ladies helped us to get a cheap trike and gave lots of travel advice. We joined the dive trip to apo island and the team on the boat was also great. Prices were reasonable Highly reccommend

Mattress was hard The dive shop could have more/better equipment. There was only one wetsuit in size S and my regulator didnt have a depth gauge

Amazing location , friendly and helpful staff. Mark has a gem of a place here. We will definitely be back. Dauin as a whole is a great place and this property made it that much more special. Trips to Apo island highly recommended and snorkelling and diving just at the front of the hotel is also great.

Great location, right on the beach, with easy access to dive boats and excellent snorkeling. Welcoming staff and a nice casual, friendly vibe among guests. Bungalows with bathrooms and porches very comfortable. Good casual cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

We originally booked a tiny bamboo bungalow without a bathroom, though the communal bathroom was clean nearly always empty.

It's such a beautiful spot! My go to place when visiting Dumaguete... I love the bungalows and easy beach access. Clean and very well maintained. So nice to enjoy a coffee on the veranda, watching the ocean and listening to the waves from a comfy hammock. Just bliss Lots of great restaurants and little stores nearby for supplies... they even have a well appointed, communal kitchen and offer great scuba diving right off the shore. Good wifi! Recommend!

No complaints it's awesome!

Friendly staff, excellent snorkelling and diving just in front of the guesthouse, close to several nice restaurants, hammocks in front of your hut and many beach loungers on a small stretch of private beach right in front of the public beach. Showers provide lots of hot water!

Beware that only aircon huts have a private bathroom!
