the lagoon side room was great . to be able to swim from your door was perfect . staff also were also very good

the fact that some of the restaurants were not open was not great. This was not for renovation or from the typhoon as they were billed as being open at the weekends and certain other days.. Also some of the bars were not open (coconut bar and the bar by the beach) apart from the swim up bar. This limited our dining and drinking options. I know that the hotel was quiet during our stay but I think that all dining and bar options should be available in a 5 star resort all year round. Over all we enjoyed our stay but it could have been superb with more facilities open.

Food was excellent but limited to basically one restaurant. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. We were given a couple of options on the building locations. The bed was very old and lumpy "completely worn-out." The staff was first-class.

We were not told at booking that 75% of the facilities were under construction and not available. We paid full price for only a small part of the facility. Your price should match the amities we recieved.

We often think that paradise on earth doesn't exist, but that was before we came to Plantation Bay. My wife and I stayed in Plantation Bay for about two weeks, initially for the lagoon and the views, but the longer we stayed, the more it became a second home for us. First, the food. Starting with breakfast, there are a variety of restaurants all over the place. It's even delicious. You can have a really good meal here, not just a half-assed one, and the menus are varied. The flagship restaurant, "Kilimanjaro," is located in the center of the lagoon, so if you get hungry after a day on the water or just want a mango shake, you can always go there. 2. relaxation First of all, the rooms are in great condition. They're clean and tidy, so there's little to stress about like bugs and lizards. Also, most of the guests are gentle and quiet, as they are basically quiet. The only sounds we hear when we fall asleep are the wind and water, and the only thing that wakes us up is the birds chirping. Finally, they have a really nice massage area. If you like massage or Japanese gardens, this is a must visit. 3. Everything is possible inside Before I came to Cebu, I saw advertisements for various activities, but I realized it was a waste of money. Here, you can do everything from island hopping to snorkeling, jet skiing, getting certified to diving and more. The prices are reasonable. Best of all, there are no extra fees. They also offer souvenir and delivery services. This can range from room service to outside food delivery via Grab. Wrapping up, Plantation Bay is a great choice for your Cebu trip. However, there are a few caveats - Be aware of the cost of taxis in Cebu, they make a lot of strange offers. - Habal-habal and tricycles are not allowed inside the resort. If you leave the resort, taxis and others can give you an unpleasant experience. You can avoid this by using an app.

Location is far to city.

Absolutely love the resort style living and how each building has their own pool to look into. The pool lagoon arrangement is gorgeous and the property never not looked like it was from a movie or a brochure. Loved their themed Hawaiian night buffet on the beach. There were so many pools that some days there were hardly any people in it so it was very relaxing. Their private airport pick up was absolute luxury and made our transfers a breeze. In addition our in room check in and check out was very personal and easy. Staff were very accomodating and always asked how the food was and wished us well everyday. I injured myself on an excursion and was looked after and monitored by their lovely nurse who was of assistance and provided daily ice.

- our toilet didn’t flush/ ran out of water 3 times in our 7 day stay and needed to be fixed each time (staff were great about this but was very annoying and embarrassing) - I found some front desk reception staff not accomodating and we’re very judgemental and not friendly. I even saw staff gossiping and pointing at me which made me uncomfortable. It was not professional at all - I would prefer more options for drinks at the swim up bar or options of crushed ice drinks like slushies when it is really hot. The resort would really benefit from serving people snacks/drinks from their chairs by the pools and some people spend all day there and it is very hot. I can count too many times I would have loved a side of chips and a cocktail by the pool

We arrived on the package deal "Call Us Home" we were met at the airport even though we had informed the staff that we arranged. a ride ,since we're arriving late. But we appreciate the effort to make sure we were ok. Once at the hotel they checked us in at out room. The first thing we noticed was the new shower heads, location of the room was perfect, complimentary breakfast and laundry. All staff are very professional on what they do. To our surprise they checked us out in the room and then drove us to the airport in a very fancy car. We had a great stay .We will definitely recommend Plantation Bay Resort to our family and friends.

We didn't like the coffee serve for breakfast. But we found out we can have cappuccino instead.

Ground level room overlooking Lagoon was great, always cleaned well, comfortable bed and AC worked well. Themed breakfast each day was a nice touch to change the selection of food available. Loved the Spa, very professional and super relaxing. Enjoyed the pathway round the property, great for a cycle ride (bikes available from resort) or as a runner to do a few circuits of the resort each morning

Few improvements would make this a great resort. 1) They need more bars, only one pool bar was open so nowhere to enjoy and lunchtime drink or sundowner - without getting wet!! 2) Also need more sun loungers near to the rooms, they have quite a few strategically placed but certainly could do with more 3) Restaurant choice is limited to 2 options, and the breakfast cafe, so if you are there for a few days it can get repetitive unless you venture outside in the evening, but nothing good is close by

Our room was clean and tidy however, building resilience party for a medical school group were very loud, and the hotel did not inform us this was going to happen until the morning; we did not have a plan B so the day was stolen from us.

Inform guessed in advance about these loud activities. If you want to experience the Filipino culture in the Philippines heart and soul then my advice is to find a different hotel as this is more for an international theme. Staff are polite however, they lack the passion of a welcoming service provider.

Staff on our tours where excellent. Excellent facilities and all staff within resort where always polite and helpful except cleo from beach bar.

Cleo from beach bar made us wait an unacceptable amount of time and we where the only people at the bar. She also made us feel unwelcome and was very rude when she did finally serve us. Pastries at breakfast where excellent but all other buffet breakfast items such a bacon, eggs etc where cold every morning.

The entire resort was a pleasure to stay at. We stayed for 6 nights. They had a lot of amenities and activities to keep kids busy. The full body shower in the bathroom was amazing.

The big slide wasn't working so everyone was gathered in the smaller slide. They had a few restaurants on site however they were expensive and too salty for our liking so 2nd day we had requested to put less salt on our dishes. Went outside the resort a few times to eat at local restaurants to save costs. Didn't have taxi so calling a taxi to come to the area cost an extra P100.

It was great to see that the property has been well kept and maintained. it was amazing now as it was 15 years ago when we first visited. Aside from the facilities, all staff were very pleasant and accomodating - from check-in (Danny), to bringing us to and from points (Jeffrey), Dining areas at Kilimanjaro/Route 66 and Palermo (especially Pearl), Spa services team (Meann, Stephanie, Roxy and Jen) and even Arnel who was so swift to attend to our small request.

Unfortunately because of the recent typhoon, we weren't able to move to the Mogambo springs accomodations but otherwise, we couldn't readily think of anything specific. One thing that might be considered would be additional complimentary trips available for guests going to the city.
