we had just come from somewhere really noisy so it was sooo nice to arrive at this clean and tranquil spot. 3 mins walking gets you to the sardine run (just bare in mind this isn’t a beach as you imagine on this part). some great restaurants within a 10 minute walk. lots of bars too. bed was comfy, water in shower was warm, water refills available at the hotel, reasonable prices trips to Kawasan with a great company. laundry can be done across the lane. atm next to the hotel. fridge worked well and aircon too

you have to slam your door a bit to get it to lock which can be noisy down the corridor. really clutching at straws there though - we slept like logs

D'Gecko is the perfect base in Moalboal. It's in such a great location a minute away from the beach, so you can head straight out for a morning snorkel/swim and also close to restaurants and shops etc. The staff are SO friendly, welcoming and kind and made our stay incredibly comfortable - we were incredibly grateful and sad to leave! The room (and the whole hotel) was so clean and smelt fresh and there was always someone nearby to help with anything we needed. The room was a really good size, the shower was great and the beds were very comfortable and clean. There were 4 of us staying in the family room and we didn't feel on top of each other at all. The staff helped with recommendations and arranged taxis/tryclicles for us when needed. There's also outdoor space on the roof if you fancy watching the sun go down over the sea. I couldn't recommend D'Gecko highly enough! Whenever I'm back in Moalboal I'll definitely be staying again!

Low water pressure in the shower.

The location is amazing, you just have to walk one minute to reach the beach where you can go snorkeling and see turtles (I recommend having your own equipment so that you can go by yourself!). It's also close to restaurants. The hotel was lovely, clean, the room was quite big and quiet because no road and dogs nearby. We booked the Kawasan falls/canyeonning tour through the hotel staff and it was great, although a bit expensive (1500 per person plus 600 per person to use the zipline instead of walking 45min). But the whole thing lasted almost 5 hours and the guides were so nice so definitely worth it.

Lack of toiletries. But apart from that nothing special.

The hotel is located just steps away from the beach, with many choices of restaurants nearby, and most important, it's quiet at night (free from pub/bars music) to have a pleasant sleeps. Very friendly and helpful staff to sort out all our concerns, issues faced during our stay. We faced twice for unreliable arrangement from the tours outside, taxi driver. The tour agent was uncontactable during our pick up time 4am to depart to Oslob for Whale shark tour, the hotel guard help us to contact another guide that apparently he was one of the friend of the tour agent that supposed to arrange our tour, but finally we manage to depart to Oslob by delaying around 30mins. The 2nd was the taxi driver we booked outside for transfer from Moalboal to Cebu airport. But the driver was late and end up he couldn't pick us up after 1hr passed. The hotel staff immediately help to contact someone can arrange for car, it was 1st May holiday, and shortage of taxi as well. But finally we manage to get a car to transfer us to airport, to catch our flight back to Manila. We almost missed our flight due to this. GOD BLESS ;P

The staff were wonderful! Everyone was so kind and helped me organise a lot of stuff. I requested to check jn earlier as I wanted to go to Cebu the night before our flight, and they even issued me the refund for checking in earlier - absolutely amazing customer service! I couldn't find a better place in Moalboal than DHecko Hotel P.s. lactation was awesome! Right next to the sardine run and turtle watch area. Alright, the hotel wasn't top class with modernity but for the price what do you expect, it was very clean though.

It's my second stay in this hotel. Perfect location for snorkeling with turtles and sardines. Close to many food options and grocery shops so... No any problem with no provided breakfast by hotel. Staff exceptional friendly and helpful. Extremely happy with nephew of the boss, Kingkint. He organised canyoneering and whale shark trip for us. Also seeing turtles and sardines. Amazing. Happy to rent motorbike from hotel too with good price. Maybe I can get better service somewhere else. Maybe better price but I will do not get any risk next time. I will visit the same hotel again and again. See you next time.

I'm not so picky. I get best what I can have for this price. Even more then expect. There is absolutely nothing what I do not like.

It is a relatively newly renovated hotel, the rooms are clean and nice, the bathroom is not the best but it works. The shower water pressure was very low, but it was much better in my friends' room. The rooms are not very well sound proofed and I could hear my neighbors alarm every morning (to the point I thought it was in my room). The sea is just around the corner. I would say that based on the standards of Hotel in Philippines, this hotel is very good and I would stay there again.

Bathroom, shower, lack of supplies (soap etc.)

The staff has always been welcoming with this property henceforth I been to this place 3 time in the last year. The hallway is spacious and the place with its white paint looks very bright and clean.

The shower just feels a bit claustrophobic for me. The bed is also not premium but is comfortable enough. Finally, the place requires you to leave your footwear by the receiving area and during our stay a couple of people have lost their shoes due to this property policy due to not so nice guests wanting to walk off with your footwear.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It's 10 seconds from the beach and near the most popular dive operators. Rooms are very comfortable, the manager, Mark, was just amazing as is his whole family. The staff are all super friendly and take pride in cleaning everything top to bottom, non stop and and all day. Right outside the hotel, also ran by his family is a Sari-sari cum BBQ place as well as tour operators and motorcycle rental. I really had a great stay here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Moalboal. After checking out, I realised I'd left my mobile at the hotel. After alerting the hotel, Mark then got on his motorbike and personally brought my phone to me at the Public market where the buses and cars wait to take people to Cebu City. Now, that is service! I'll definitely be staying here again... absolutely great place and staff.

Not a complaint at all...just an observation that the bathroom could do with a "bum-gun" bidet and a shelf in the shower to place shampoo and soap.
