All we can say about West Side Cabanas is that after 5 days of being treated with care and wonderful service, we would recommend this simple resort to anyone who is looking for a budget friendly resort that is not only clean and safe but is also a 5 minute walk to good restaurants and the snorkelling beach where you can see the sardines and turtles. Arlin (hope the spelling is correct) is a wonderful hostess who does everything to ensure her guests are happy and well cared for . The beds were simple and comfortable, A/C was quiet and worked well, water pressure was sufficient and finally the internet was mostly very good. Both Arlin and Christian who manage the place, helped us with exchanging money in town which is 5 kms away and also downloading pictures of the whale sharks from a new complex waterproof camera, and we are indebited to them. They go out of their way to help their guests and make them feel welcome!

The cabanas and the property need little things that need fixing and should be done sooner than later. Moalboal itself has lots of garbage on peoples properties and they don't seem to care. There are also many flea infested, mangy, starving dogs that is heartbreaking to see.

The hotel is very well located on the island of Cebu, you can reach the beach of Panagsama in less than 5 minutes by foot, the rooms are big, the bungalows are very nice, the staff is adorable, they help you in the organization of your activities and manage to have discount prices on some activities and help you in the transportation We loved our stay in this hotel and we highly recommend it.

There is not a great isolation of the bungalows, you can hear animals and people talking but you get used to it quickly.

Staff Arlene took care of everything, from laundry to bike rentals to excursions - all fuss free and convenient for guests. Free water to refill your bottle. Simple place with only 4 standalone chalets and a dining area with pleasant ambience. Location was ideal for me: 400m walk to the beach and dive centre, and 400m to the start of the stretch of eateries and bars.

The towels - clean but not very absorbent. Roosters and dogs nearby are noisy all the time. Ear plugs worked well for me. Pricier than some other places but reasonable for what you get.

West Side Cabana is located on a 5min walk to Panagsama beach. The rooms are tidy and provide everything you need. With airconditioning and private private bathroom. The host Arlene is golden. She is always there when you need her and provides answers to all your questions with all her love.

We stayed in a room on the street side. The only little downside of our stay was the noisy chickens across the street. It didn’t bother us that much since we got up early anyways and the noise could be cancelled with some earplugs.

The best thing was the staff, very welcoming and friendly. Also very helpful for advice about activities and onward travel. We were able to hire snorkels for a small fee. Beds were super comfy and the room felt clean. Short walk to the main road with restaurants and bars.

It was great value for money, having a fridge in the room would be helpful if you are staying for a long time. However there is free hot & cold water available which is great!

We enjoyed our stay here. The owner was helpful in arranging activities or motorbikes and Arlene (the woman who manages the property) was a true delight! She was always around to assist if needed and even would sometimes sing a little song while helping out. Quiet little street close to the heart of town and the beach activities.

The staff were very accommodating. It was really secure and close to lots of restaurants. The place also offers activities. We really like how it was quiet and we were able to rest during our stay.

The bathroom drainage could get a little improvement. But overall it was good for the price.

good AC. comfortable bed. warm shower. is further out but this makes it quieter, still only 5min walk to restaurants. amazing host, friendly and enthusiastic, very helpful- sorted our laundry for us, and organised bike rental and trabsport to bus.

A bit far from the shoreline if walking (10-15) mins but I drove the moped, so for it me it was super easy, only 5 minutes to get to the sea turtles 😀

Service was really good. Helped me figure out some stuff and asked for coffee every morning. The area was quiet and not too far from the center. I enjoyed walking everytime.

Actually the only thing I didn't like was the lack of electrical outputs. There were only 2 hidden low behind the bed.
