Amazing! We arrived late so reception was closed but we received clear and easy to follow directions through text msg so we got in with no problem. Gorgeous building really makes an impression and it’s based on one of the oldest streets in Gdańsk really cool and it’s right next to the river- literally 2 min walk! so you not only based in the middle of gorgeous old town but also by the water and all restaurants and bars! Only 15 min walk to Train Station, only 15 min walk to 2nd World War Museum (worth seeing one of best museums I’ve been to) about 30 min away from the Beach (very clean, warm Baltic Sea fantastic), 3 min walk to nearest shop, only 30 min drive to the airport, I mean it just doesn’t get better then that! perfect location! We stayed in room number 2, really big and comfortable double bed, 1 bathroom with shower and toilet AND SECOND BATHROOM WITH BATH! Gorgeous deco with high finish you can tell that no expense was spared in the making absolutely fabulous! Lady at the reception was really friendly and helpful wish I asked her name to add to this review and say thank you again for everything! There isn’t anything bad I could say about this place it was perfect and really comfortable and we will definitely come back. Thank you Gotyk Team!

nothing it was perfect

My priorities (in addition to safety, comfort, & affordability) when researching accommodations anywhere I travel include uniqueness & historical significance. I definitely picked a winner with Gotyk House! According to a Gdansk city guide, it's the oldest house in the city (built in 1451 C.E.) & was purportedly the only tenement house left unscathed by WW2. What a find! Located right next to St. Mary's Basilica - believed to be the largest brick church in the world - it's convenient walking distance to all Old Town sights, as well as nearby grocery stores & other necessities. My room (#3? or #4?) was a generous size with comfortable furnishings, historic decor, large bathroom, & restful space, especially when the surprisingly soothing (not clanging) church bells rang throughout the day. And the service was exceptional! (They even offer to wash & dry your laundry for a mere 60zl/$15USD which, by the end of a long trip throughout several countries, was a huge bonus!) Wiktoria, who checked me in, was so incredibly kind & helpful, especially when I mentioned that I'd accidently left my phone in a ride-share car in another city. She helped me spring into action to, hopefully, get it back. Without her assistance, persistence, & encouragement, I might have never seen my phone again. I also really enjoyed our numerous conversations, during which I learned a lot about the area, & appreciated all her amazing activity & restaurant recommendations. Gotyk House is now my go-to place to stay anytime I'm in the Tri-city region of Poland.

Can't think of anything. Everything was great!

The service was absolutely wonderful. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The building and room was absolutely stunning and well maintained. It was a nice touch that the person who cleaned our room noticed that we'd only drank the still water so they replaced the sparkling with extra still for us. The breakfast at the restaurant was amazing as well

Sometimes our room was a little too hot and working the heating was a little confusing but this was a very minor issue and we didn't mind as it was so cold outside.

The location was extremely central, with lots of attractions, shops, and restaurants within a short walking distance. The room was absolutely beautiful and had been immaculately cleaned. The staff member behind the reception desk was very kind, and he gave us a magnet in the shape of the hotel as a welcoming gift. The bed was very comfortable, and I liked that there were slippers and free bottled water available in the room. The checkout time was at noon, which was generous given how many hotels ask you to leave earlier. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but the price that they offered was very reasonable.

The wifi signal was very weak (to the point of being unusable), and I can assume that this was because we stayed on the top floor (away from the router). The curtains on the window did not block out the sunlight, so we were awakened by the early sunrise. These issues weren't really a big deal considering the overall positive experience I had with the hotel.

We were on a car trip through Poland and we needed a place to park the car, which they had. I was a bit tricky to find out what we needed to do to get the permit, but the hotel staff was very helpful in guiding us through the process. We were really in the middle of the city and had a great time. They breakfast option is Mexican and if you are more into traditional sweet breakfast it might not work, but there a excellent pastry shop/cafes around.

More fresh bath towels. It was very hot and humid when we were there and we got caught in a down pour and I had to go and fetch fresh bath towels myself. Later I saw that there was a button one needed to push if you wanted room service, but we were not told about this.

Great central location, so only a short walk to all the mains areas, a beautiful old historic building, we had a standard room in original part of building & it was more than spacious for our needs. Big added bonus was a fantastic Mexican Cocktail bar ( you could have breakfast there) connected to the new extension at the rear which really was good

there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about hotel, but If we was to be picky & there not complaints the room could’ve had a few more power sockets, to charge my phone bedside I had to unplug the small fridge/move it over near kettle ( swap over when you wanted the kettle ) & my wife had to unplug main phone to use her charger, another small rubbish bin in room would’ve been handy but there was one in bathroom & for some reason last two days we pressed button for the maid service & it wasn’t done, however the receptionist was great & only to happy to pop to stores for the bathroom stuff/clean cups/coffee/tea

Classic old town hotel in a very nicely decorated historical building on a lovely picturesque street with little houses and funny staircases, very nice. As for everything old town, hotel is small, lobby is small, but personel is very nice. We were recommended to check in till 8pm, but if we're late, there would be instructions. We made it. Our room was situated in the side street in a more modern part of the building. The room was one floor above ground level above tapas restaurant.

For an old town, everything is cosy and lovely (not spacious). Bed was comfy, pillows could be bit fattier. Our room was just above restaurant on a cobblestone street, so those of you who like to go to bed early, might find it too noisy. We did not order breakfast timely, so the morning we discovered, that it had to be booked before. Reception recommended us to go to Słodko Słono place nearby for breakfast and it served amazing breakfast. We did notice, that many places served breakfast and these were rather full already after 9am.

The building itself was absolutely beautiful, and very tastefully decorated in line with its historic background. location was perfect. We were collected by the VIP transport provided by the hotel, and from then on the trip was amazing. very welcoming staff, and they couldn’t be more helpful. the rooms were immaculate. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

The hotel ideally located in the heart of the city, next door to the church, and just a short walk to the Christmas market we came to visit. The owners of the hotel came to pick us up from the airport for a modest fee, and we were able to check in immediately on arrival. The room was beautiful, the perfect size for a night or two. Brilliant location, it was perfect for us. Breakfast was next door in the Mexican restaurant, competitively priced and something for everyone to eat.

Nothing - there was too much to like!
