Hostel Deco

Great hostel located in the renovated old building. It still retains the originality of the era, including the bedroom. We stay in private room named "Olga" that has a balcony overlooking the back into the green. It feels like you were living in different era. Love it so much. The hostel has communal functioning kitchen, free laundry and drying area, backyard to chill and also communal lounge. The location is perfect, just under 20 minutes walk to train station/mall and old town. We didn't use any public transport at all while staying for a week i. Kraków. Would definitely stay again here if we comes back visiting.

The receptions. We met so many of different receptionist but hardly anyone friendly or smiley. Most if them are "cold"

Hostel Deco was quiet as well as situated in an ideal location close to the Old Town and other local amenities. Hostel staff were helpful and available 24/7. Everything was in order and facilities were as we wanted them to be. Room interiors were also very pretty. Can’t have any complaints about the place really - would happily stay here again!

Only minor inconvenience was that the showers have to be manully activated every 30 seconds or so by the push of a button to allow the water to comtinue running, although this is next to no trouble at all.

This was my second stay. The staff was very helpful in finding my passport because I had left it in the bathroom. I had a very difficult guest the night before. It affected my sleep. Jana was very helpful and gentle. I had prepare for my visa and she helped prepare my documents to submit. In the summer they're not so many school groups so I end up meeting very smart people, very interesting and i always learn something from them. they're interested in history or culture or maybe travel or exercise in the nearby mountains. It's what I expect from hostels of the older years where you met people and you made friends and you had interesting conversations and learned something mostly from people all over. Visiting Auschwitz it's really very emotional event and to be able to discuss with others is quite special. And helpful.

Under beds is dusty at Broadway room. Open doors let in smoke from the garden. Harder for sensitive people. Pola room had some broken lights and not enough outlets for chargers.

We loved our room on the top floor (Pigeon room). The decor was exceptional and the view amazing. The whole stay felt like we were teleported into „The Great Gatsby” . The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. We would definitely come and stay again we were so pleased!

The only issue was no soap/shower gel was provided but we easily got that from a shop round the corner.

The hostel was perfect and I can say it's the best hostel I've stayed in. Receptionists are very kind. There is a kitchen you can use and a common room where you can sit and watch a movie.

The only thing I can complain about is the noise. There was tremendous noise throughout the day and night. Our room was on the first floor and very close to the reception, probably that's why we heard everything. We couldn't sleep especially at night because of the noise.

Nice, cozy, many friendly talkative people, the reception was very helpful and forthcoming. I was able to switch rooms due to a loud snorer without any problems. Close to the city center and 24h check in.

Some rooms smelled a bit dusty and the light in the showers was motion activated which meant showering in the dark after a minute or so, but all in all no big deals

Love this hostel. Located in and old but renovated building. It has the original old school vibes. We stayed in a private room with bathroom. Our room has small balcony facing the greens at the back. Very quite. Bathroom looks brand new and super clean. Would stay again if go back to Krakow

Bigger kitchen considering so many people use it at the same time.

The bathroom is great! The bed also. The only problem is: they don’t have a place to charge phone close to the bed. But I think it is a Polland problem: everywhere is like that.

The staff isn’t very polite. But I think it is cultural difference. They don’t smile, they don’t explain anything, they don’t give tips. Barely say “good morning”.

Everything in this hotel is really nice the decour the personel the location everything. This is definitely a place to stay for long term and short term. Shower's are good, there is a nice back yard to enjoy your coffee

Only thing that I didn't like was the pressure of the water in the shower that's was way too high. But it's just a minor thing.

It was cleaned many times a day, the rooms were okay. The location is amazing for the price. There is a 20min walk to the city center.

Thin walls. You hear absolutely everything. It does not help that some guests have a party and are breaking things right above you.
