The hotel is spotless! Very comfortable room with A/C, flowers, chocolates (!), TV with a lot of movie channels. 2 very clean bathrooms for 6 rooms. Clare was lovely! ...Very welcoming. Fantastic location. I could see the monastery from my window! Great value.

Other guests on the floor were there for a conference and milled about quite early 5:30, 6:30 in the morning. They were quite noisy -- but that is not the hostel's fault!

I've stayed at this hostel twice now, both times for a week and both times I stayed in a room with private bathroom. Great value, great location, and absolutely lovely staff!

Can't think of anything at all. I can imagine that in the summer, it could be a bit noisy with lots of people outside late, especially when there's live music on - but this was not an issue during the time periods I was there.

Wonderful location!! Great staff. When we gently complained about neighbors who continued to be very noisy in the wee hours,we were given tarts, and moved to a huge room. Great service. We really enjoyed the terasse.

There were few outlets to charge our things. The room with bunk beds was tiny.. and we had difficulty finding room for our clothes.

The room was very clean, warm and spacious. The black out shades made it very easy to sleep in the room and the location was very central. There kitchen was also well stocked if you wanted to cook. The bathrooms had everything you needed.

It was a bit loud into the night as it is adjacent to some restaurants. The bathroom was a bit dirty but can be expected when using a shared washroom in a hostel.

Perfect location opposite the monastery. We had a family room, it was perfect for the 4 of us, very clean with everything we needed. The shared terrace must be great in the summer! There is a café downstairs where you can enjoy an excellent breakfast.

The ventilation in the bathroom is coupled to the light switch, so it can remain pretty humid after a shower, if you turn off the light.

The woman on reception (I think her name was Clara) was absolutely the most helpful person imaginable. We had been upgraded and our room was larger than expected, with a little balcony. The hotel is right in the centre of town, but still quiet with no noise at night.

The coffee making facilities could have been better. There were some shared teas and coffees but none of them were caffinated.

Absolutely amazing location (right in the center of alcobaca) and terrace with a side-view to the monastary. The personell went above and beyond to help us.

Might benefit from including AC (though during our stay temperatures were perfect)

location excellent for walking to all important historic sites. Room was super clean, spacious, 2 windows with views and spacious bathroom. Super friendly and helpful staff. Warm blankets helped!

very cold room with small, portable space heater. no hot water in the shower. Only stayed one night so these were minor inconveniences.

Excellent location. the owner/ manager Clara was super helpful, and could speak and write in English as well. Cafe/ bakery on the ground floor of the building was very handy. Our family room actually had 2 rooms with bunk beds in in the smaller room. We also had private bathroom which was important for us. Rooms were very clean and covid safe.

Mattress and pillows could have been more comfortable but then it’s a hostel, so probably fine.
