The property was very well located, 200m from the main street where all the restaurants and shops are! It’s a very charming chalet with comfortable rooms, the decor makes you feel like you are truly in the nature with lots of rocks and wood in the structure. We really enjoyed our stay, the free parking lot is very convenient considering that there isn’t any parking space in the street! The breakfast is great and the staff is super friendly and really helpful. The balcony had a great Mountain View and it was a dream to wake up to. The rooms have AC witch is great but the only thing that was missing was a minibar for water since it was super hot out and we had to buy ice everyday to have fresh water in the hikes, it would be very much appreciated if the property invested in it for next time. Anyways, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet and comfortable stay!

Loved everything about it! The only things that would make it even more perfect were a minibar in the rooms and a pool! Also would really appreciate if breakfast started a bit earlier, 8:30 isn’t the best for people that go on big hikes or want to go to the river before it’s super crowded!

This is a very charming hotel on the mountainside just outside the national park. It’s an ideal location if you plan on exploring in the park. Our room was simple, but very comfortable and had a great view even from the back side of the hotel. I didn’t have a hair dryer and was able to borrow one from the front desk. The staff answered so many of our questions about the area; they were so helpful! Breakfast includes breads, cheese, meat, cereals, yogurt, jams, coffee, and juice. There’s a beautiful view from the breakfast room as well. The hotel has its own parking garage. You need to park on the street just in front to check in, then get the key for the garage before you park.

This is a great hotel! The only thing I would suggest is to add some gluten free bread and dairy free milk at breakfast.

We enjoyed our 4 days here. The room was clean (and it was cleaned daily). The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. It rained a lot, and we made good use of the common area downstairs with a fireplace. The owner (Armando) was extremely helpful. He never made us feel rushed, and he gave us a lot of information. We couldn’t have asked for better service. The rest of the staff was friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Continental breakfast was quite varied and included fruit bread cake yogurt. Room was very clean and the property had also common rooms to sit watch TV and play games. Friendly staff. No fridge in the room but we could leave some food in the hotel fridge.

The room was marked as having a view but had limited views because it was the ground floor and there was a house in front. There was a ventilator in the room that made some noise and was impossible to switch off, and the bed was not the most comfortable.

Me and my husband loved the views from the room and the traditional design and decor of the hotel building which is made of timber and stone - it is a gem in Gerês village. The mattresses and pilows were very comfortable. The breakfast also had plenty of options with fresh fruits, pancakes, cereals, yogurts, juices, fresh bread, etc. Overall we had a splendid week here and couldn't recomend it more. Thank you!

Excellent location, really beautiful view, nice room, 'old fashioned ' in a nice way. There was always someone at reception to ask things, they made nice mint and lemon water for the guests, nice area outside to sit, just a great place. everything I would want. Felt really safe and happy there

Perfect location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Easy access with the car. Parking garage available. Beautiful building and views to the mountains. Spacious room, comfortable bed and mountain view. Quite environment.

The coffee. The breakfast is simple but fine though.

Location, right in the vila do Gerês, close to everything you need. Hotel and rooms smell amazing all the time. Great views. Breakfast at around 9h means you get to sunbathe in a great morning sun. Our go to every year.

The shower glass doors still need to be fixed. After a shower the bathroom is a pool.

The staff was super attentive, breakfast was a lot better than expected, hotel is cute and smells amazing, everything is perfectly clean, view from the breakfast room is beautiful, everything you need is in walking distance.

We got a room by the entrance, with the smallest balcony and a view of the chimney. There’s a gap between the glass and the bathtub, so there was always a lot of water on the floor after showers.

The breakfast is good; the staff is so gentle and nice; the hotel is so cozy; really well located... It couldn't have been better.

I wish there was a desk with comfy chair or a coworking place for those who need to work with a laptop
