Great value for money! I love the location, the quaint decor with hand painted wooden furniture, the breakfast, the pool with palm trees, the free parking, the price. This is a place I would highly recommend for people looking for comfort and a great deal. We will surely come back!

it was a bit anonymous, and in the breakfast room they had music on as well as the tv which was a bit disturbing. But the TV was switched off as soon as I mentioned it. It might be a bit noisy when full, as the walls appear a bit thin, but we were there with very few people so I wouldn't know. Picky folks might mind the dated decor and the bits and bobs that need a bit of TLC and DIY, but for this price, you could expect a lot worse and we were pleasantly surprised. So no real negatives really.

It was a great location and we had a great check-in experience. The breakfast was generally good, they had a great selection of things to choose. The bedroom was a good size although the view wasn't great.

The pillows were not great quality, the shower only had a wand that you had to hold this made showering harder, the coffee was not great and you had to queue and wait for the toaster, These are only small things but the coffee has to be better.

We were given an upper floor room with a balcony and a view of the mountains (accessible by lift or stairs). A good buffet breakfast was served in the first floor dining room which has a tree growing through it as part of the décor. There was free parking outside the hotel, which is a few minutes walk to the town centre. It made a good base for walking in the area.

Location is great. The hotel is picturesque and well designed. The rooms were big and comfortable enough. Some members of staff were very nice and helpful, some others weren't so. Breakfast was good with enough variety and choices.

This hotel is full of potential but desperately needs modernisation. One of our rooms was damp. Every night we had mosquitoes in both rooms although we were very careful not leaving the windows opened in the evening. We believe they might be coming in through the AC vents. There were squashed mosquitoes and blood stains on the walls that should have been cleaned.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet and also a/c a nice plus for a summer stay. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. Good location close to the city center. Staff was friendly.

Overall no concerns, missed a few minor details such as kettle and wifi inside the room, but nevertheless good value for money.

Great location. You can see that the hotel and rooms are a bit old fashioned but still you'll find everything you need. The breakfast was better than others we had on our trip. Overall excellent value for money. Would come back anytime.

The hotel is situated in a lively, historic town with lots to see and great places to eat and drink. The rooms are really clean and comfortable and the staff were welcoming.

Breakfast was ample but quite basic.

Our first room was on the top floor of the extension building. Small window, A/C not working, no view. The hotel was fully booked so we couldn't get another room. We were given one the next day, much nicer, with balcony and view. And working A/C. Decent breakfast but with all the oranges in Portugal, why not provide real juice? Nice pool, small but very clean.

Wi-Fi pretty much useless in the rooms, especially in the extension. Generally, the hotel needs maintenance (only one working elevator, for example).

The hotel is placed in a wonderful location and the rooms are pretty good and old fashioned. The breakfast had a good variety to pick from but it could taste a bit better. The staff was very friendly and our place was kept pretty clean too.

The breakfast had a good variety to pick from but could taste a bit better. It's a shame that the wifi only works in the reception area and doesn't reach the rooms. The bed was decent but the pillows were a bit uncomfortable.

This was a special place to stay, in large part because of the gorgeous (hand-painted?) furniture - they lend a really special touch to the place (that I fear will be gone the day renovations take place) which helps confer the hotel bags of character. The breakfast was very good, the price was remarkably reasonable, the beds were very comfy, parking was easy and location was excellent.
