Very friendly owners and staff who spoke good English and were happy to accommodate our early breakfasts - and the breakfasts were exceptional. Great Pool area and bar although the pool was too cold to use the pool in February. The bedroom was very large and full of character.

Because it was February and not so warm a few rugs would have been good for the bedroom and one for the bathroom. It took a long time for the hot water to reach our room so had to run the shower and taps for a couple of minutes.

Super friendly and helpful staff/hosts; huge rooms and bathrooms, both very clean; all the common areas were very pleasant and nicely kept; the breakfast was great and the staff quickly prepared the extras available (eggs, pancakes); great wifi. Peaceful and quiet place, with a wonderful old, "vintage" vibe. The host wrote me and advised right after the booking was made that one of the guests would have to switch rooms during the stay, which I appreciated.

The main negative would be not enough chairs/sunbeds in the terrace/pool area :( It makes it harder/impossible to enjoy the pool and that area. The doors of the bedrooms could be extremely noisy while opening/closing even if you're careful, as they are old. One of the rooms (upstairs) only had a very small window, so it barely had any sun light. However, I would stay again and would recommend it to someone needing to stay in that area!

A beautifully decorated family run guest house. We were well cared for. It is in the centre of town with easy access to the local area for adega's.

We booked an economy room- which was nice. However the slanted roof would not be suitable for a tall person as it would be easy to knock your head on the beam.

It's a gem in the middle of Cuba!!! A wonderfully renovated historic house with high ceilings. The room is very large and beautifully decorated with a huge bathroom. The cherry on the cake is the nice swimming pool at the back.

The shower in the bathroom is not great. An Italian shower would have been much better. Breakfast is quite basic.

The Owners lovely earth-2-earth folks. The dog Dogge, part of the family :) The rooms are huge and well decorated. The house is a lovely well restored village house, in a lovely shape, summing some XXI century improvements like air conditioned in the rooms. The pool & the all pool area are very cosy. Also a very very nice typical "alentejo" breakfast.

It was in a 200-year old upper-class house, where the Duke of Beja used to recide when in Cuba. A very nice couple had restored the house to modern needs, but kept some of the old furniture to keep the link to history. Fantastic!

My room was a room without a view. I couldn't see that on the presentation. A very small velux offers fresh air but with the sharply descending ceiling you can only stand on a small part. so for me too claustrofobic and, as I am tall, made me bend my head all the time. Velux could not be obscured either. note : I missed the open acces to a water cooker and a fridge (without asking which became a bit embarrassing while the hosts also have a kind of terrace service of drinks and tapas. which is surely a plus for many clients!

We had an amazing experience in Cuba, lovely hosts, amazing food in the nearby adegas. Facilities and common areas are beautiful.

Since we were only staying for one night, we booked the smallest room. Recommend sizing up for comfort, especially if you are staying longer or taller.

on the breakfast they charge for the expresso which I think is unnecessary

Our greeting was friendly and offered assistance if needed. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable and immaculate. Loved the charm of this place!! e The offer of breakfast is a plus and plenty of items to choose from. Will definitely stay again when we return to Portugal, hopefully in the summer to experience the pool and patio.
