Amazing view. Good facilities. Unique decor.

Just be aware it's not too close to the town, there are some snack bars nearby. I managed to visit without a car but i would not recommend unless you are fit and don't have many bags.

Great place to stay in Sao Vicente - nice and quite house with amazing view with all equipment which you need. The location is perfect to plane hikes (amazing levada faja de rodriguez is really nearby). Perfect place to stay for everybody ( family, group of friends, solo traveller, couples) - the house is really spaceous. The owner of this house is really helpfull during all our stay - we are really thankfull, that we can meet somebody like him. We stayed there just for 2 days (1 week trip to Madeira), but definetely not for the last time. Thanks for such a great experience.

Abolutely nothing

In total, we changed five accommodations on our 7 day trip to Madeira. I rate this accommodation as the best of all. The owner and his very friendly nature contributed to this. He accommodated us with everything, fulfilled everything we needed in a fairly short time. I love this accommodation and if we return to Madeira we will definitely visit this town and accommodation again. I recommend this accommodation to everyone who wants to have a wonderful time in São Vicente

The Guest House was located in a quite area of Sao Vicente. Our room had a clear picturesque view of the island and mountains. The balcony and room where spacious and beds were very comfortable. The guest house was very quite, and staff were not present at the guest house but easily contactable. Clear instructions to check in and check out, all amenities provided as shown at the time of booking.

Only 2 negatives were the noise of goats outside the room, but it was cute and tolerable. The bathroom was open from the top and didn't close completely.

The property has everything you may need for a vacation, it served as a good base for trips around the island. Bear in mind that you will need your own car to get in and out as it’s situated on the steep hill. On the other hand, that has an added benefit that you will have a nice view of Sao Vicente.

The bathroom doesn’t really have any partition to the room, so you end up using shared bathroom anyway as you don’t want to listen to every sound on the water basin or shower. It would definitely benefit from an actual brick wall and lockable door to the bathroom. Also the shared kitchen is sometimes pain, but that’s what you have to deal with when you are looking for these great deals.

Great location and absolutely beautiful view! I attached a photo of the view from our room as a proof :) São Vicente is an amazing place to stay on the northern coast of Madeira. We had a relatively long stay there (2 weeks), and it was really helpful to have a kitchen. It was well-equipped, and was always kept clean and tidy. There was also a cozy dining area. We enjoyed chatting and sharing experiences with other guests while cooking or eating :) Also many thanks to the host Joaquim who was always very helpful, responsive and friendly! We would definitely recommend Gardens to our friends, and would stay there ourselves if we visit Madeira again.

We were perfectly happy with our stay, but be ready that it's not a hotel. Still, this guest house is 100% worth the money you pay for it.

It’s a lovely house and very well equipped. The view from the room with the balcony is beautiful! Better with a car since it’s up a very steep hill (common in Madeira of course) - worth knowing if you come on the bus. Beautiful terrace and garden area; very well kept!

The shower was a little leaky, and for those who are maybe a touch on the ‘shy’ side, it is worth noting that the private bathroom has a sliding door that doesn’t go to the ceiling, so you’ll be able to hear everything from the bedroom. Not necessarily bad, but something to consider for some people.

The Gardens Guest House is very well located in the village of São Vicente and surrounded by nature and magnificent views of the mountains and the sea. You will find a mini supermarket, cafes, and restaurants a short walk away. The house has a super well-equipped kitchen with everything you can imagine to have the best experience possible and if you need something you can't find, Joaquim the owner goes above and beyond to get and help with what you need. The rooms are beautiful and the whole property is very clean and cared for. This stay exceeded any expectations I had before arriving here and I can't wait to return.

A big house that was very cosy (the more so due to the very beautiful Christmas decorations). The kitchen was very complete and a pleasure to cook in. Joaquim was a great host, super helpful (thanks for all the help), and the staff nice. A very quiet place, perfect if you want to have a good rest. I enjoyed a lot my hikes from there (most of the times having to take the bus, whose stop was not very far) and then returning to the house in the evening. Not far also (about 20 mins on foot) from a small supermarket that had basically everything (good fresh meet also). I could also meet some interesting people and enjoy the views of the valley (from the house or when I walked down to the bus stop or the supermarket). In reality I would have liked to give a 9.5 (in some aspects for sure 10).

Very minor things because the overall experience was very good. The house felt very very slightly cold (it was December), but in reality the very nice and warm Christmas decorations made really up for it (and I am also a bit cold sensitive). This particular room (family room), unlike the others, was next to the entrance, so it could imply some noise when someone left the house early in the morning (in any case, never ever big noise and only if you didn't get up very early). The location had its pros and its cons if you didn't have a car (but still pretty good if you were willing to walk and were aware of the buses timetables).

Nice helpful owner, en-suite room with bathroom (other rooms have shared bathroom), fully equipped shared kitchen, espresso machine . Owners can do the laundry for you, location Sao Vincente very humid, so bit chilly at night but you have extra blankets. You can park the car right in front on building at the street. View = magnificent 👌
