Our room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was brilliant with bars and excellent places to eat close by - we went to Letras Brava just across the road and Taberna Tosca - great food and service. Breakfast was simple and delicious - fresh bread roll, jam, cereals, yogurt and eggs for you to cook your way in a well equipped kitchen. We also took an apple each day, which was a nice snack when you're out sightseeing all day. Catarina gave excellent directions on how to find the place and was very responsive via Whatsapp to any questions we had.

Our room didn't look like the room in the picture BUT it was fine. Maybe add a few pictures and more stable shelves in the wardrobe space. The area, due to the popularity of the local bars, is a bit noisy until 3am. However, it's part of the area's appeal so, close the windows and wooden shutters and turn on the fan if you're not out late and want to sleep. It's an old building and there are creaking floorboards so people on the floor above can be heard. Again, it's part of the appeal of being in a place that isn't a sterile, soundproofed hotel room.

Clean. Quet. Our room was huge! The beds were very comfortable. Lots of el.outlets. Well equipped kitchen. Despite the fact that our windows overlooked the street, it was quite quiet. Very good location, transportation is very close and there was no problem to get somewhere. There are always a lot of people walking, so it was comfortable to return even at night. Good WiFi. The owner is always in touch and answers all our questions very quickly!

This was not a problem for us (we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, it is really good), but maybe it will be useful for someone: 1. The room was not cleaned and towels were not changed every day (we stayed for 3 nights and used the same towels all these days) 2. A big bug lived with us :) it looks like he was more afraid of us than we were of him 3. Very, very simple breakfast

Beautiful and large rooms, quiet and out of the way but not too far from things. Kitchen was supplied with coffee, eggs, and cereal in the morning. We were able to keep waters cold in the community refrigerator. They kindly allowed us to drop our luggage off so we could explore while we waited for our room to be cleaned.

A fan was provided but air conditioning would’ve been nice as your windows do face the road and there is some noise at night. We also found the pillows to be uncomfortably flat. Finally- and not a major thing- there was a sign saying not to flush toilet paper, which we found a little confusing and thought may have been a translation error, but seems to be a common thing.

Just a few things worth knowing ahead of time: 1) We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a lot of noise and commotion out on the streets (used ear plugs and it was fine). 2) It was great that we could store our luggage, I just did not realize that there is no accessible bathroom when you come back after check out (I understand there’s not really anything to change this, just wanted other travelers to be aware). 3) Room 1 is missing a small hook in the bathroom next to the sink for the hand towel and needs a trash can in the main room. 4) Suggest to place the Wi-Fi login info into the rooms, not only in the kitchen (we arrived late at night and I did not want to wake anyone by going back to the kitchen just to obtain the password).

It is a really cozy and welcoming place. It was very nice to have well equipped kitchen. The communication with the staff was very easy. We were happy for the possibility to make breakfast to go on our last day, as we had to check out early.

There are two things that one should have in mind before booking this place. 1. The location and the building is REALLY noisy. However that is the common problem in the center of Lisbon and Portuguese architecture in general, so it is not the problem of this particular property. Either you should not stay in the center, either take ear pugs with you. And 2nd, our bathroom was outside of our room in the corridor. That was not a problem for us, however might not be very comfortable for others.

Guests have shared use of a well-equipped kitchen including fridge, hob and microwave. Tea and coffee is provided, and a cup of tea at the end of a day's sightseeing is very welcome! Asul is well located close to Cais do Sodre metro which opens up the whole of Lisbon. When traveling from the airport, go to this metro, not Baixa Chiado which is up a hill!

This B&B was great for what we needed, they provided a cot for our baby, the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. It was also really lovely to have a common kitchen where we ate our breakfast (and our dinner after baby went to sleep), chatted with other guests and stored our fruit and water in the fridge! The location was also great, in a quiet little street but walking-distance from many points of interest in Lisbon. Would stay again, and definitely recommend to others as well!

It was a lovely old property and quirky- our room had a bathroom en-suite but other’s bathrooms were a few steps away. It was noisy one night out of three so not bad. It was extremely well located for transport, lots of restaurants coffee shops etc.

Only one chair in room- we had a leak - and the noise not all lights in hallway working.

We loved staying at this B&B. The girl working in the morning preparing breakfast was so nice and she too care of any request. The owner communicated with anytime we had a question. Location worked well for us. Taxi’s are inexpensive and made it easy to get around. I highly recommend this B&B and the price was excellent .

My hair dryer broke so wished they provided one in the room.

The B&B is very comfortable, good communication before arrival to get all information. The location is close to Bairro Alto and the train station Cais do Sodre. Tram and bus station just in front of the house. We had the family room with an own bathroom, plenty of space and 2 small balconies out to the street. You can use the kitchen and a little cozy indoor attica. If you like walking, you can easily reach most attractions by foot. Many hills and stairs up and down all day long, narrow streets and one of the little cable cars just around the corner.
