The location was excellent.

The front desk staff . The women who work at the front desk was excellent but the young gentleman who did our check in was very disrespectful and no cordially was or ever. I have to complain to him how he was trying us and want me to find our reservation when I give him my name and book number, then he throw my credit card on the desk instead to handle to me . I really think they need to know how to treat the people who comes there.

I really liked the location of the hotel. It is right in the centre of Lisbon and very easy to reach by bus, train or tram. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The room was big enough for me travels alone, the bathroom a bit small (I had to scoot a bit to sit comfortable on the toilet :D). The best part was the bed, which was extremely comfortable, had several blankets and pillows, so that it didnt get too cold in the room. Air conditioning is available and working.

Because the hotel is right in the centre of Lisbon, obviously the nights can be a bit louder. This was not a real problem for me, but be aware if you have trouble sleeping when there's music or people talking loudly. Also it was a bit difficult to open the shower after closing it.

The location is great, right in the old town close to everything, but the noise level is not noticeable. All restaurants are around, bus stops and the metro is up the road. Definitely worth staying.

The staff is a little careless and not great at communicating. Not the best hotel if you have large luggage!!! The elevator is the worst. Only you can fit and you must be careful of not touching the wall as it moves. The stairs are wonky and crooked, and the worst is that they have a place to leave luggage but they use it for a pantry! Instead, you can leave your luggage in a tiny room up the stairs like Harry Potter. O_o I’m not sure why they do this.

Good budget hotel in a top central location in Lisbon. Metro station Baixa Chiado just around the corner, many other tourist attractions like Porta Augusta, Carmo Convent ruins, Cais das Colunas etc. in 5-10 min walk distance. Many restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast is pretty basic, so are the rooms. The area around is a bit noisy too, so, if you are planning to go to sleep at 9-10 PM and you are sensitive to noise, probably this hotel is not the best option for you. My advice - if you want to stay very central, do not want to pay a high price and you don't care too much about: 1. simple breakfast; 2. small and a bit worn rooms; 3. a bit of noise outside in the evenings - this hotel is a perfect choice for you.

Perfect location, just around the restaurant area and main walking streets of Lisbon. Friendly service, nice breakfast room with good price quality ration for the basic breakfast.

While the atmosphere of the old house is very nice it is good to recognize that the elevator really is small and serves only for one person at a time very slowly, so you need to be prepared to walk the old wooden steers which were rather demanding even for a healthy person. You could also smell some old water damage in the building (like probably in all buildings in that age in the area) which might be a problem for a very sensitive person with breathing issues.

Location was excellent. It is right in the middle of Old Town Baixa. Lots of restaurants, shops, and people right outside our balcony windows. Great location to get anywhere in Baixa, Chiado, Alfama, and Barrio Alto. Room was small as was the bathroom but they were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was most helpful. The breakfast was very good.

The room was a little smaller than we would have liked but overall it was a great place to stay and we would stay there again.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms, great value for money. Our plane back home was leaving at 6.50 AM and we requested a taxi through reception-service was absolutely fabulous. Will stay again.

Didn’t use lift as it could take only one person and I was with my family. A little renovation would be beneficial.

The employees are very kind and fun, the bed and pillows are comfortable and the location couldn't get any better!

My room had a door apparently leading to another one, it was locked, of course, but at the second night of my stay, I woke up with a very strong smell of cigarettes coming from the door and the voice of old ladies talking in the next room. I should have warned the reception, but instead I just opened the rooms windows and it was fine.

First of all, it is important to mention that I booked a night at the Hotel Duas Nações but once in front of the door, there was a paper indicating that the hotel was closed and that I could choose to stay in 2 other hotels nearby - it is a bit confusing that you can still book this hotel on booking.com whereas it is closed. This being said, it is for sure due to Covid and besides, the other hotel I stayed at was ok and in a great location. So in case you are booking Hotel Duas Nações during the pandemic, double-check that it is actually open! The other hotel (Hotel Borges Chiado) was relatively good and perfectly located.

The confusion when arriving to the hotel and seeing it is actually closed!

Everything is fine. Clean hotel and polite staff. It is next to the metro’s stop Baixa-Chiado and the main square/ sea. Central area of the city, not to quiet because there are always people walking around. I’d strongly recommend this hotel.
