Our room was more spacious than expected. It was recently renovated within a few years so the walls and trim looked fresh. The location was ideal to various shops, restaurants and sightseeing by walking/public transit. We did not have breakfast here but would likely next time.

Air conditioning would have been nice but the weather was comfortable enough that the floor fan worked sufficiently. It’s understandable that the structure of the building is too old to install AC ductwork. Like most European cities, the windows (with security bars) don’t have screens so was reluctant to keep them open (worried of critters) during the evening but we did have them open with the curtains drawn.

- giant room with little sofa, gowns, kitchen set - greeeeeeeeat location, 10/10 for coffee shops and restaurants and a fun rooftop bar (Park) and close to many great neighbourhoods - staff very accommodating

- there were only a couple of inconveniently places plugs which meant i could either plug in the fan (necessary!!) or the fridge - i chose the fan but was that a little inconvenient for food and drinks - the toilets, whilst i think regularly cleaned, were always a bit dirty and smelled bad - the code I was given to let me in was written a bit weirdly (4 looked like ‘u’) and as it was 2:30am i couldnt get in touch with anyone from the property so had to try, panic, give up, try again on the street for a long time (a friend suggested it could be a 4!)

While the room was on the smaller side, it was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of lighting and air circulation. A fan was provided for us; we used it at night as we closed the windows to mask some of the noises from the crowds outside. It wasn't super hot so it worked perfectly for us. The service we received during check in was stellar and the person helping us took the time to answer any questions and offer useful information. Other than that we didn't have any contact with hotel staff as we left early and returned late in the day. Check out was also very convenient: we left the hotel at about 8am and simply had to leave the keys on the counter inside the room. The hotel is in a pretty central location and a lot of the tourist sites are close by, about 10-15min walking. It's about a 2-3min walk from public transportation access and is in a lively area. We felt very safe and loved that there was a mix of tourists but also locals living in the area. Absolutely would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The host and staff were very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very nice. The notebook that had suggestions about where to go and what to see came in handy. We chose a tour of the area which was excellent. The driver / tour guide hit the highlights of the area and delivered fascinating information of the places we stopped and visited. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our room was situated right across from a street light so our room never really got dark (eye masks came in handy!). Also, because we chose a hotel that was in a very popular area, it was always noisy - lots of young people out and about at all hours of the night. This hotel was also located in the Bairro Alto neighborhood which is very hilly with uneven sidewalks; you get a good work out walking around.

located in a quiet street very close to a very popular part of the city. The 'superior' room was of ample size, the breakfast seating area was well laid out and the breakfast itself was varied and adequate. All the reception staff were superb: friendly and helpful.

The room was slightly tired and could do with a decorative refresh, but that is a very minor concern given the value offered by this city centre hotel. The window view was into a service well, but again, this is a city centre property that has everything else going for it.

The location is awesome, there's lots of great brunch restaurants nearby. Also, if you are a tourist, you can walk like 10 minutes to get to the national Assembly building, Praca Louis Camoes or to Chiado, Carmo Convent etc... however, if you need to go to the airport, i suggest using Bolt, as there is no direct public transport line. The staff was super nice and helpful!

The automatic light in the bathroom suddenly switched off as I was showering and wouldn't turn on until I stepped out of the shower. The door to the bathroom was really heavy and kind of hard to open.

The B&B's staff is very friendly and helped us with all our questions. Our room was spacious, clean and quite with a lot of storage. We enjoyed the breakfast and especially the home baked cakes and pastries. The location is awesome with all the little restaurants, bars and shops nearby, but the B&B itself is very quite situated behind the bigger street. Public transportation is nearby, the metro or bus takes you from the airport close to the B&B. The famous 28 has a stop close to the B&B as well.

You can immediately see that this hotel is run with heart and with attention to detail. A warm welcome and a surprise gift made a great initial impression, a nice gesture. The room is clean and maintained daily. The breakfast offers everything you would expect and the quality of the food is good. Especially the croissants are delicious. The location is close to everything and level with the Baixa/Chiado metro station (so no climbing uphill needed).

Very convenient location about 10 minutes stroll from nearest metro, with tram lines and elevador down to riverfront even nearer. Plenty of bars and restauants within very easy walking distance. Area felt totally safe at all hours. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and staff very friendly at all times

Room was on the small side with immediate view of a grubby, stained wall. Double bed was effectively two beds pushed together and consequently had uncomfortable "seam" running down the middle. Staff, although always very pleasant, couldn't always answer fairly basic questions. How can an hotel neither have maps of its city nor know where guests can get one?

The staff were extremely helpful and very kind!! The beds were comfortable and the breakfast offered a good variety of food.

I pretty well liked everything but as a minor complaint the floors at the entrance to the room were chipped and the shower had been caulked many times and was a bit messy. This was more aesthetics. The size of the room , the friendliness of staff and the well layer out breakfast more than made up for it. If those minor issues weren’t there, it would have been a 10!
