Comfortable, clean, quiet room on the top floor. It had a nice terrace with a view over the roofs of Porto and a bit of the city hall cupola. Good location for walking to most places. We used Uber at the end of the day for the trip back up the hill to the hotel. Breakfasts were ample, with eggs cooked to order. Bruno was especially friendly and helpful.

Awkward shower design made it a bit difficult to get in and out. We also didn’t see the need for the full-sized door out to the terrace from the back of the shower. Although we really appreciated the blackout shade over the outside of the floor to ceiling, east-facing windows, it would have been nice to also have a sheer privacy curtain inside so that we didn’t have to choose either full exposure or darkness.

Almadina was in a central location on a quiet street. Our room was spacious (the bathroom was huge with double sinks), on the 4th floor (with lift) and had a terrace. The shower was great - tons of hot water and good pressure. The staff was super friendly and available to answer questions, make recommendations, and organize transportation. Breakfast had a nice selection of cheese, meats, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and you could request eggs or an omelet.

A few things to note, the bed was very firm and there wasn't a safe (the location and the building seemed very secure so this was not an issue for us).

Great location just outside the crazy busy port area. Less than 10 minute walk from the river. Our room was very funky. Real fast was very good and staff are very friendly.

Room was a bit small for a family of 4. It was obviously a room for 2 and they added another bed. No door separating the living area from the washroom area was a bit strange. There is a door to the toilet and another for the shower, but you have to change your inside the shower stall and there are no hooks in the shower to hang your clothes or your towel. Also the rooms could use some drawers to store clothes etc.

Our room had a spacious balcony that doubled as a terrace, which was a delightful spot for us to relax with a cup of coffee and enjoy some pastel de nata in the evenings. The room had all the amenities we needed, including air conditioning, a small fridge, and bath essentials. The bed was wide and super comfortable. The room had a stylish and elegant vibe, which added to our enjoyment. Breakfast at the hotel was simple but enjoyable, especially with the option of freshly cooked eggs. The staff members were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist. The cleaning service was efficient and prompt,our room was always tidy. Despite being in the heart of the bustling city center, our room provided a peaceful retreat. We happened to be there during Queima das Fitas, which brought a huge crowd to the area. However, we were pleasantly surprised that our room remained quiet and tranquil. The hotel's location was fantastic, with close proximity to two metro stations, making it easy to travel to and from the airport. We could easily explore all the beautiful central attractions of Porto on foot, and there were plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. Overall, our stay at the hotel was truly enjoyable. The combination of a great location, a well-appointed room with a lovely terrace, excellent facilities, friendly staff, and easy access to Porto's attractions made our vacation memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto.

I must say, I couldn't find a single negative thing to mention about my experience at the hotel. Everything was simply wonderful!

Lovely old stone building. We really enjoyed our room, with its modern imaginative decor. Air conditioning worked well. Each room is different. Staff are friendly and helpful - gave good recommendations for restaurants and things to see. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from. We loved the location - very central but just a little away from the main tourist streets, so quieter. The Rua do Almada is fun - lots of small shops and cafes, and an artist's studio, all hidden away but visible as you walk by their doors. I'd love to live on that street!

The B&B is in a recently converted and renovated old building. The conversion has been done sensitively while providing up to date comfort. Our room was excellent. It was really large, beautifully decorated and and thoughtfully laid out. It had everything we needed including small fridge and multiple re-charging sockets. The mid-century style furnishings worked really well. The location is very good. It is about a 20 minute walk down to the river and all of the down-town sites are easily walkable. There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants within a ten minute walk. The staff were all extremely friendly and always helpful when we had questions. The breakfast was very good with freshly squeezed juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, cured meats and cheeses, and a choice of freshly cooked eggs. The breakfast area could be used as a serve yourself bar outside the breakfast times.

The hotel room (deluxe double) was big and spacious. The staff in the hotel is really helpful and polite. Room was clean and just how it looks in the photos. The facilities in the room were new and well maintained. The breakfast spread is decent (minimalistic though) and they do cook fresh omelette or anything egg related live. No complaints. The area is right in the center and easily accessible and overall ambience looks chic and rusty. I would not hesitate in staying again.

Nothing much frankly, minor the flooring is of wood finish so it tends to feel it vibrates a bit if someone runs or walks with heavy feet. Not in hotel's control but it's situated on a lively street so one can hear noise from outside if on lower floor, but I think it reduces on the higher floor. We were not bothered with the noise though.

The staff worked hard to make my stay as pleasant as possible. When flying back to the states, they had a cab at the hotel at 7:45 and even though breakfast starts at 8, they made sure I was fed before leaving.

The location is at the top of the old town and it's a bit of a hike to get down to the waterfront. If you have any mobility issues, this is probably not the place for you.

Our group of 8 people had an amazing experience at this hotel. The spacious and beautifully decorated rooms surpassed our expectations. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. And the breakfast - absolutely superb! We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return.

The breakfast was plentiful and offered a wide variety. Nice touch to have eggs specially prepared for you. The location was excellent and very central. The apartments were spacious which offered us to gather with our friends and families. The staff was friendly and helpful and housekeeping was amazing. Rooms were always clean.

The bathroom was lovely but could have some more spaces to put your toiletries on.
