-good location -helpful staff (especially Frederico and Joao!) -nice modern decor -clean room -4-6pm, the hotel sets out coffee and croissants for guests to sit and chill. seating area is modern, cute and comfortable

-works undergoing - unfortunately, ants in bathroom and toilet when flushed -shower leaks water through the door - however the hotel has a shower door. most European hotels don’t have any door at all with open showers -room was not cleaned for two days or sheets changed in the time we stayed. Location is great and the most fabulous pub outside the front door. Bed was huge!! Need one of those at home. The lady on reception called Jessica is clearly very proud of Porto as the information on check in was great

Think the cleaning can be stepped up a gear. The communal toilets were not great on numerous occasions. The bar selection was limited, unable to make a sangria, don’t do hot chocolate. Had to ask daily for extra coffee pods for the room, two pods for one couple for three days!! Can the cleaners not top up daily?

Check-in (on-site) was quick and easy. There was an electronic self check-in that could be fine remotely, but I abandoned that after a few minutes as being a faff. Access to the secure car park beneath with our motorcycle was also easy, and there was a dedicated motorcycle area. The hotel really is quite funky. It's only a few years old and clean and modern. The fixtures and fittings are good with excellent linen and towelling. There is a TV in the rooms but curiously you can't watch TV on it, it functions purely as a screen you can cast to if you've brought suitable tec to do this with. Our room was very quiet with good sound insulation, but it was at the rear of the hotel. Outside the front of the hotel, it does get very noisy at night. If silence is your thing, make sure you ask for a room at the rear. The breakfast, if you book it for your entire stay, is good value for money, but... see below. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Their English is good, which was invaluable with our virtually non-existant Portuguese. All in all, it's a very good international hotel.

If you arrived at breakfast at a busy time it was rather tense with a few short tempers from other guests. It felt that at times like this, they could use a few more staff. On one such occasion they ran out of proper coffee and only had decaffeinated. The design of the bathroom and shower doors meant there is a finger crush zone. Beware if you have children.

The hotel is very central, although a little difficult to locate. The surprise was the car park underneath the hotel. Very convenient indeed. The area around is bustling with bars and restaurants. The room (207) was not large with few places to put things, but very clean and rather quirky. The staff were very kind and helpful. Reasonable price. Passing through so didn't try the facilities nor dine there so I cannot comment.

The room was pretty small. I asked for two single beds but there was not much space between them. There were no toiletries as the hotel is trying to be "ecological". It didn't matter to me as I had my own stuff, but it might be a problem for other guests. Not very generous with the coffee pods. There was no bidet. Interesting experience but would probably not return.

One of the coolest hotels we have stayed in. The hotel was located in a very popular area with many restaurants and bars nearby, but also a short walk to all the major attractions. The hotel itself had a very cool vibe throughout. The rooms were very clean!! The bathroom was great - the best shower pressure! The beds and pillows were also very comfortable and our room had a cute little balcony that allowed us to open the door for some fresh air and opportunity to take on the atmosphere in the busy street below. The hotel staff were very helpful and answered all our questions, as well as organising a private transfer back to the airport.

The housekeeping came a bit early - but that’s us being very picky. Absolutely nothing to fault.

Breakfast was great with a wide selection of fresh options. Eggs, bacon, cooked mushrooms, tomatoes, yogurt, cereal, granola, many breads and pastries, fruit, cheeses, ham, Nutella, honey, fresh juices, coffee (with machine to make proper cappuccino and lattes. The vibe in the hotel was unique and chill staff was so friendly and helpful. Room had plenty of space. We had the family room which was two connected rooms with one having a king and the other with two twins and a portion of the hall privately separated that made it like a foyer. This was an amazing space for our family of 4. The location is great! In the center of Porto with close walking to everything!

The “pool” that look so interesting online and like such a unique space and concept turned out to be a fountain. Our kids were disappointed to not be able to get in. We could tell online that it was small but the theme is “pool” so we thought they could get in. Unfortunately this is not the case. It’s a small staged garden area for sitting and relaxing in the chairs.

First of all, we felt really welcomed: such small details as a glass of porto during the check-in or a tote bag on the bed really add to the positive experience. Location was amazing: central, there were stops of public transport quite nearby as well as lots of nice places to eat and drink around the property. The room was quite big with a modern interior. Even though our window was to the side of the busy street, we did not hear any disrupting noises at night. Breakfast was great: a wide selection of both hot and cold dishes as well as variety of pastries.

We have endured some stress when the elevator suddenly stopped and got fully dark. We have eventually managed to open the door, however elevators should be checked, as we have informed the staff right after the incident.

comfortable room, very clean and quiet at night. Breakfast buffet was good and a nice touch to have free coffee and cake late afternoon after a hard days sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. A brief welcome meeting to show us the sights was very helpful and included a free glass of port. This is a Spanish chain of hotels and they take a theme to play with the decor. So in this “gravity” themed hotel there are upside down plants and wall coverings and an ornamental pool shaped to look like a swimming pool on its side. Quirky but nicely done!

A few little things. Air conditioner was positioned so that cold air flows down onto the bed. It’s hard to balance the temperature to keep the room cool but not too cold. Also a lack of places to hang up clothes, coats and towels. Location is close to placa de liberade (main square) but a lot of the sights are down by the river so it’s quite a walk down and especially back up the hill. Nearest metro stop is about 10 mins walk

Hotel was in a great location, close to the city center but far enough away to be in a quiet area. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and recommended a great seafood restaurant. We were pleased with the room, I reserved the room with a balcony - it was nice to sit outside at night. I enjoyed the funkiness of the decor and ate in the Valentina restaurant for lunch and dinner - pizza was delicious.

The bathroom was spacious - but we were surprised that the doors were frosted glass so you good see our silhouettes. It was a little weird at first but we managed to give each other privacy. Otherwise, it was a great room!

The staff was outstanding and the highlight of our stay. They are SO helpful and patient. The parking lot was small, but doable. The breakfast was expansive and I'm glad we included it in our stay. The room was very spacious and had good air conditioning. The hotel was in a populated area, so it felt safe. We went to a restaurant that the front desk recommended and it was an amazing meal.

The bathroom has a funky layout, but it was sufficient. Be comfortable with whoever you're staying with, as there aren't any doors to the main bathroom area.
