The location is amazing, the price was extremely affordable for the value. The hotel had a 24/7 reception, which I prefer to self-check-in and gives a more personal touch. They all spoke English and were nice. The room had a private bathroom and was clean. You can borrow a hairdryer from the reception.

You need to leave your key at the reception every time you leave the building. It did not bother us; at least you can't lose the key. The entrance door downstairs is closed at night, so it's better to inform the reception beforehand if you want to get in during the night

The area was ideal for walking around porto and for access to shops restaurants . Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating .Nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was basic but enough to get you set for the day .Lovely fresh rolls .

The room was warm and you needed to have the window open .Some noise from outside from restaurants etc until late however you need to realise that you are in the centre of the city . No ventilation in the bathroom . We changed room and found that the TV didn't work in the evenings in the new one however did work in the morning when the hotel had emptied.

Excellent family room, more like a suite with a couple bed and toilet/shower in one and a separate twin with its own bathroom. Comfortable and clean Very friendly staff Good location for sightseeing, recommend Braga and Pinhao by train up Duoro Valley.

Maybe a little more variety in the excellent breakfast?

Prime location in the historic centre of Porto. Family run hotel, 24/7 reception, at arrival a map of Porto was provided with great suggestions for sightseeing. In the room the beds were very comfortable, plenty of space to put your belongings and a small balcony with view of the centre.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's one of the few small hotels still owned and managed by Portuguese in Porto (a city overrun with Air B&B). The hotel is basic, but meets expectations. Very comfortable bed. It's nothing fancy, but I would definitely stay there again.

what I liked best was the people running the hotel. it’s a family run hotel and they made you feel right at home. There is no elevator so they switched our room from the 3rd floor to the second one. My husband cannot do stairs very well since his surgery. She asked if we wanted the room with the shower or the tub, obviously we chose the shower. She even carried our bags up to our room. Registration is on the second floor. When we left, she carried our bags down.

The only thing I did not like was no elevator.

The people were extremely nice. We got a room for 3 people (one queen bed and a single bed) and paid the price of a normal room. Although our room was in the top floor, it was easy to access. The TV had the channels to watch Movies. If you want an even better experience request for a bedroom with balcony. It’s next to a little garden and in a very good location. Completely recommend and plan to come back.

There was only one cup in the room to wash our teeth. However I think is something that you can just ask. For us was irrelevant so we didn’t care much 😅

Fantastic greeting from night porter who made us feel relieved after a long flight great view of a plaza straight outside our balcony window first thing in the morning. Felt we were in the heart of Porto straight away.

Updated bathroom perhaps but very clean and lots of instant hot water.

This hotel really is the definition of a hidden gem. I love these slightly older hotels that retain their Portuguese charm. The bed was perfectly comfortable, and better than many places with higher prices. It’s a truly excellent location (especially if you want to have brunch at the ridiculously popular Zenith) I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is at night, especially because I was given a room with a balcony overlooking the praça, which of course I liked very much opening the curtains to see that in the early morning sun. One thing to be aware of: the hotel sign is so discreet, you might miss it!

I’d happily stay here again

This is a nice and small hotel in a great location in central Porto. The rooms and bathroom were clean and the reception staff was friendly. It's a bit noisy in the square at night.

The hotel needs a bit of renovation. The room was quite warm and there was no air conditioning.
