First of all the staff was fabulous! Our greeting was so warm and welcoming, and I wish I could remember the name of the night manager at the desk, (Christian? he was also training 2 new staff) but he was so helpful and accommodating! The rooms were very, very nice and although it was in a rather lively area, which we loved, it was also very quiet in the room and hotel overall. Great location for walking around the city, which we did a lot of. We sure wish we could have stayed longer! We think Porto was our favorite city in Lisbon and we would love to stay with Hotel Sun and Moon again.

Overall, great spot convenient to so much retail, restaurants, even a quaint coffee shop across the street. Not on a main road, so quiet location for sleeping, but not boring. There is a small bar and they offer a welcome drink you can have upon arriving or at anytime. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, has everything you need to base yourself in Porto for a few days.

Personally I love having breakfast included in the price so that would have been fantastic - takes the concern out of finding something to eat (even though it was easy to do so). The breakfast was around 15 euros per person when I travelled so very inexpensive - you just have to request when you arrive. I recognize this is a personal preference.

This is a fantastic hotel: exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, scrupulously clean, comfortable twin beds, big walk-in shower, thermostat temp control and a window that opens, free wifi, valet parking (parking is 15 euro/night in a nearby secure garage), fantastic breakfast, room service, complementary snacks and beverages available 24 hours, small lobby bar, rooftop terrace with music and bar, great location near principal sites and excellent restaurants. One of the best hotels I've visited in a lifetime of world traveling - highly recommend.

There's nothing not to like - the place is perfect

The hotel is in a great part of the city in terms of proximity to restaurants and interesting historical sights. The staff were extremely helpful and the room in which my friend and I stayed was well appointed and very comfortable.

Not that it was the hotel’s fault, but the access to the hotel was compromised by the fact that road construction on the street right next to the hotel. That made driving to the hotel and walking around the road construction challenging. However that is a temporary problem.

We had breakfast included with our stay and there was really a wide variety of options everyday. Hotel is centrally located next to a number of sights and had lots of shops and restaurants within walking.distance. While we did not use public transportation there weee a number of buses and metro stations near by.

Wifi was often slow or not workining It would have been nice to open the window were we slept but we could not do that only the one in the bathroom opened. We do like fresh air. We often ate breakfast late and picked a time but noticed no one was ever there.

Location good, less than ten minutes walk from Metro Trindade station, which takes you straight to the airport. Staff on reception extremely helpful and spoke great English. Staff provided me with a map and information on the river cruises and how to get there. Comfy bed, whole room spotlessly clean. Huge choice at breakfast, all very tasty. Offered a welcome drink and given biscuits to take with me when I checked out, which were very nice and appreciated when my plane was running late.

Room was on the top floor, and although it was the end of February, was uncomfortably hot. The air conditioning was in heat mode, so only way to cool it down over night, was by having the window open, but this made the room very light as you couldn't have the blind down and any breeze coming through and the curtains were only a thin voile, which barely blocked out the light at all.

Terrific hotel. The location is perfect, close enough to all the major attractions, everything you need is nearby (10 min walk to everything). We were surprised at how close everything was. The hotel is at the top of the hill and we enjoyed the downhill strolls. The room is very spacious, the beds are very comfortable and bathroom is very clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and the hotel took care of this for us. Delightful experience with this hotel.

The location is very central but at the same time not in the touristic center. Everything is within walking distance. We asked for a room on the top floor and the front desk was super accommodating to offer us one. The room turned out to be much bigger than many other hotels and the bathroom is super clean. The staff at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful especially for local restaurants and places to visit. You can borrow umbrellas from them too. The snack bar offers free pastry and coffee throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Porto!

The AC is kinda centrally controlled and from November onward it only has heating. For me it was way too hot at night to sleep and the windows can’t be completely opened to cool down the room.

Reception staff very attentive on arrival and offered a complimentary drink. Breakfast was ok and hotel was in a good location. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Bed was comfortable. From 14.00 to 20.00 the hotel provided complimentary tea/coffee and pastries which was a nice touch. Bottle of complimentary water left each day. Roof terrace was relaxing after a day of seeing the sights.

Standard room had everything but was small, hanging space in wardrobe was unsuitable for long length dresses.

The location of the hotel was excellent near bars and restaurants but quite at night. The breakfast was adequate although slightly over reliant on bread and pastries. They claimed to be able to serve eggs benedict but on the day, we asked it was unavailable. The room was a good size, but it had very limited storage space in terms of drawers - there were none. Just a shelf at the top of the wardrobe.

The hotel claimed the room had a Tea/Coffee maker/an electric kettle. Yes, there was a kettle, 6 packs of sugar and two packet coffees BUT there were no cups or spoons and no milk or plain tea. On two occasions we asked at reception and were told cups would appear and supplies would be replenished - It never happened. There was a mini fridge in the room but it was not switched on! Personally, I think the servicing of the rooms needs more attention to detail. Make sure supplies are replenished, floors are swept and customers reasonable requests met. Sadly, during our four night stay this was not the case.
