The staff and this property are outstanding. I loved the views of the ocean and river from my room, the port and coffee in the common area, the amount of electrical outlets in my room, the towels and robes, and the comfortable king bed. The one thing that the property cannot change but potential guests should know is that the rooms facing the street and river can be very loud due to the road immediately under the window. A combo of overhead flight patterns, the passing cars all through the night until 2 am, etc. all made it difficult for me to fall asleep and stay asleep. Some people are more sensitive than others so I mention it here --but the views and the people more than made up for this issue for me. Perhaps a white noise machine in the rooms could help with this issue somewhat.

Noise mitigation.

We had the most amazing stay at Duas Portas! It was our anniversary during our stay and Beatriz and her team organised a cake for us and helped my partner organise surprise champagne for me! The location was perfect, closeby to the beach and city centre. Room was very spacious and facilities were great. Breakfast selection was good too, and then complimentary Porto wine was a nice touch. We loved that it felt like you were staying in a friend's home. We will definitely be returning.

Nothing! Everything was perfect for us.

We had a wonderful time in Duas Portas. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable in a beautiful mix of charming and modern comfort, with a wonderful view over the Douro river. The hotel is just outside Porto, but the bus and tram to Porto and to the old fisher village Matosinhos, with very good fishrestaurants, stop in front of the hotel. The service was more than friendly and extremely professional. Everything was thought off; for instance when we had to leave really early for the airport, we found a nice, packed breakfast, waiting for us upon our departure. We made use a couple of times of the available bicycles to cycle to the beaches along the river, which made a nice change from taking the bus or tram. Overall a wonderful stay and we will certainly go back there!

We are, a family of three, stayed in Duos Portas for three nights to explore the beautiful city of Porto. The hotel has a warm atmosphere, the staff is very responsive and friendly, ready to share valuable information. The breakfast is fantastic, there is always an opportunity to make tea, coffee, treat yourself to port wine. The hotel offers free bicycles, which you can ride along the promenade. The interior of the hotel is bright and functional, fans of Alvar Aalto will surely like it. The location of the hotel is ideal to enjoy a walk along the cost and see the city sights. We will definitely stay in Duos Portas, next time we are in Porto.

Everything was great from the check in to the check out. I slept very well and the bed was so comfy. Location was good too, the hotel faces the sea. The hotel is small and cosy and the staff made me feel welcomed. After i checked out I was able to leave my luggage at the reception and later I waited for my cab to arrive and the lovely lady at the reception offered fruits and water to me which was so kind of her. Breakfast was great too - a healthy one.

Nothing to dislike.

The property far exceeded our expectations. Clever Architect designed hotel, with wonderful friendly staff that gave us a connection to the Portuguese way of life . Breakfasts were fresh and perfect for the day ahead. Great location close to promenade and the use of the bikes were a real bonus as we biked 20km up the coast following the Atlantic shoreline all the way. We always walked in to Porto twice along the promenade and pathway, an hours walk but so much to see along the way. The beds were very comfortable. As you can tell from the glowing review , this hotel was perfect and such a large part of the Porto experience. We will definitely be back . Thank you .

There really is nothing to improve , this hotel is a gem!

Lovely reconstructed house, great location close to stop of historical tram, in quite place with nice small garden to take a relax. Very good breakfast, by the house also vege restaurant with all you can eat menu, perfect for dinner. And you can take for free Glass of Porto wine during your stay.

Just as it is close to the airport, even in almost center of the town, arrival flights above this hotel are a little loud.

Since this boutique hotel has only 8 guest rooms, the receptionist was also the manager on duty. During our 3-night stay, these managers were extremely helpful and pleasant with everything we asked for or about - whether information or tea. Extremely hospitable. We greatly appreciated the personal touch. The rooms were spacious and the bed very comfortable. An open bottle of port and Toblerone chocolates were always available for guests in the foyer near the entrance. Breakfast was superior with eggs made to our requests, yoghurt, fresh fruit, etc. The price was that of a 3-star hotel for the experience of a 5-star!

THE Location was lovely and so were the staff. I liked being away from the main city centre and and close tonight to use the complimentary bikes. The tram and road was a little noisy during the day but the double glazing and air conditioning helped with this. Breakfast great, room great and comfy bed and lines. I recommend this.

The contact with Maria Beatriz, she worked in the reception and helped with the breakfast. She helped with everything we asked. The breakfast was excellent, fresh orange juice and eggs made a la demande.

It was not very sunny and lots of clouds and thread of rain. So we could not really enjoy the location. It was too expensive.
