Suite is fine, breakfast decent, and the staff very helpful. Location is great ! Really enjoyed the rooftop bar.

Very noisy (cobble stones, flightpath of Porto airport, major building site next door)

- we had a very large cosy warm room, the weather was awful and it was so nice to be able to escape to our nice room with seaview - the location is brilliant, right by the sea, even in bad weather, perfect to go for walks - breakfast was ok, not brilliant - the paper signs covered in plastic saying you can't take food outside the breakfast room were funny, it doesn't take much to make them a bit more professional looking - breakfast room and bar a bit outdated - there is a pool on the roof, pretty cool but we didn't use it - friendly, quick check in process

It is charming and different from formulated box hotels.. It is in a fabulous location for the beach and 5 mins from tram or bus ride into the City. Lovely walks all around. Great restaurants round the corner. Pool on the roof and a great bar up there with fabulous views. The bar serves snack food all the time. Prices reasonable. Superb breakfast. Worth the extra for front rooms with french windows and our room had an enormous bathroom with giant walk in shower even though it was not a disabled facility room. They accommodated my friends change of nights so they could remain in the same room throughout. This was my second visit and I will go again.

The location and facilities were brilliant. Loved the roof top bar and pool with fabulous views. Breakfast was good varied selection. Room was very comfortable though I found the bed to hard… personal preference. The bathroom was large and clean. Room was slightly dated but didn’t detract from our overall experience. Easy to get into Porto centre . Car parking facilities underground and extra that can be purchased. Or there are lots of road side parking paid spaces. Some fabulous bars and restaurants in near vicinity. Definitely stay again if we return to the area.

It wasn't my first time at this hotel, and I would stay there again. Stairs to get to the room from the entrance were a surprise, but not a big issue. The little fridge was a pleasant addition as I could keep my drinking water cold in the hot weather. The ocean view from the room was limited, but the smell of the seawater was there, amazing. The location is superb, both for the nearby beach and the city centre (via a frequently running bus service). Great value for money

At the hotel entrance, there's a seating area for the guests who would like to enjoy some air before going to bed. All three nights of my stay, there was an annoying man there asking me if I needed help, if I had any cigarettes to spare, or just enquiring "Madam, madam!" It was unpleasant, and, seeing that I saw him enter the lobby once or twice, I wonder if he worked at the hotel. However, he was a nuisance only after dark and didn't approach people in the daylight, so I assume he was homeless. Nothing wrong with being homeless, but surely the hotel staff could ask him not to actively bother people inside the courtyard - if they want to help, they will.

Great location only a couple of minutes from the beach. Easy to get into the city either by taxi (approx 10 euros) or there is a tram stop close by. Amazing views from the rooftop terrace. Rooms very comfortable and clean. The staff were fantastic - very friendly and always on hand to offer advice and information. This hotel suited our needs for our 3 night stay perfectly.

Spectacular view, location was superb. Great views of the ocean and surroundings were safe and accessible by 500 bus. The food served were great, and everyone got seated comfortably at breakfast. Lots of selections. The hotel had a vintage feel but all cleaned perfectly. There is restaurant few steps from the hotel that was cozy and served excellent food. A Capoeira. Adega Sports bar was also right the next block, great for late night drinks and food, and watching football and tennis.

View, view view !

Excellent. It is located in the Foz area, a quiet area at the mouth of the Douro, next to the Forte São João Batista. The beaches are close by and there are places to have a drink and dinner nearby.

I liked it all. Perhaps one aspect that could be improved is the variety of the continental breakfast offered. This could include more Portuguese cuisine, as it is excellent, including pastries (croissants, etc.). It would have been interesting to offer that option as well.

location great, view perfect, rooftop area perfect. Rooms quite good. With all the issues regarding breakfast and coffee (below) I would return in the future. Hopefully next time we can try the pool as well (it was a bit chilly this time)

Breakfast pretty awful, always the same boring selection. No variety, it got boring after the second day. Coffee pathetic, not only at breakfast, but I bought a cappuccino at the rooftop bar and it was the same pathetic machine coffee. You should really invest in a proper coffee making . There was some construction going on for some of the days - I guess it would be temporary only.

Rooftop pool, buffet breakfast, great lattes, water in lobby to refill water bottles, fridge in room, location, ocean view and refreshing sea air from large terrace of our room, bathroom and jacuzzi tub, classy and elegant retro character of hotel, easy check-in and wonderful and helpful staff, walking along Duoro to and from Porto, easy bus access to Porto along same route, walking alongside beach and on breakwater, great cafes and restaurants nearby, shout out to Teva Terrace and bakery(best ever Patel de Nata)

Coffee machine in room would be nice
