I had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and helped make me feel very welcome. Everyone did a fantastic job and really contributed to having a pleasant stay :) The breakfasts were delicious and well prepared, I always felt like I got a good start to the day with the breakfast available. The restaurant and bar service was excellent as well and likewise always very well prepared and professional Thank you to the reception staff who were very helpful and kind, and very patient with my questions. The cleaning staff were considerate and friendly too. The room was perfect, it was tidy and clean with a very comfortable bed. I never had any worries with the room at all It was a really nice stay overall and I enjoyed it a lot. I was actually a bit sad at the end that I did not book more days to stay and visit. Would definitely recommend to friends and family

The location is a bit far out of the way, but I feel people booking to stay here should already know this. It's recommended to travel by taxi. However, if you are someone who enjoys long walks, like me, and you do want to make the walk to, and from, the hotel each time, it might help to know that there are water fountains all across the waterfront along the way there. Getting used to finding the local shortcuts helps too, and lets you see a bit more of Vila Nova de Gaia at the same time. Don't try to walk there carrying luggage though (only a fool would do that...) - trust me, take a taxi when you first arrive...

The location is nice, out of the city, the view from the parking place is amazing, you can see the Rio Douro. Very polite and competent personnel and always with a smile! Super good breakfast, the bed was comfortable, the room and common areas are cleaned. The hotel has a bar and menu for lunch and dinner.

Confusing to get there, no public transport close to there, we needed Uber all the time, but Uber and Bolt are very cheap in Porto. I was unlucky with the soup I ordered (caldo verde) was bad (just water).

Great breakfast, staff and comfortable rooms. good wifi as I work remotely. We love being able to choose from so many many fresh foods for breakfast. Car needed for this location which we had...

Too far to comfortably walk to town, a bit difficult to find even with google maps. With this distance to Porto would like to have pricing be a bit better.

The beds were comfy, and I loved everything about the bathroom - shower pressure, space around sink, etc. We appreciated that the beds could be moved a bit apart, too. There was a party nearby one night, and we couldn't hear it, which we liked.

The location was hard to get to as a walker, and in trying to take the bus I ended up walking on the Autobahn, which wasn't safe!!

Everything! Breakfast was so fresh and full of choice, hotel bright and modern, rooms clean, beds comfy, lovely view of the sea, rooms cleaned every day, bathroom spacious and double shower, air con, toiletries. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Location about 10 mins away from City centre. Beaches are quiet amd beautiful about 30 mins walk and estuary on the way.

Cleanliness and staff helpfulness. Access to Gaia for dinner. It's a non-tourist town with excellent seafood restaurants. No fancy decor, just excellent home cooking. (See our review of Restaurante Abrigo do Pescador on Google maps)

Nothing not liked. Only to say be careful if you intend to spend your time in Porto. We enjoyed walking down by the river but it is a long steep climb home!

Stayed 3 nights in double room no. 219. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great (variety of breads, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits, yogurt, boiled eggs, juices, coffee, tea). Coffee/tea were also available for "on the go". The hotel has a bar and menu for lunch/dinner.

We liked everything, but wished the room had a kettle/coffee machine and a small fridge.

Everything is fantastic about this hotel!!! Good menu and breakfast. Easy going atmosphere and great staff. Funny sentences from well known songs everywhere which makes you sing in your head or out loud 😁

There's nothing not like.

Very clean, organised and managed space, very comfortable, with a nice and clean decoration. Staff is very friendly

Doesn’t have a restaurant to serve big meals, although it does have buffet. Pillows were to big that, matching with a very soft mattress, forces the body to be curved while laying down, which affects resting sleep. This is easily solved by offering also narrow pillows in each bedroom, so guests can use what’s better for their body.

The staff and service was very accommodating. It was convenient to walk to the wineries located in Gaia and to cross the bridge over to Porto.

The hotel did not face or hand towels. All towels were only bath size. Also there was no bar soap, hence, you had to use an excess of liquid soap unless you brought your own wash towel or scrounge.
