We really enjoyed our time at Fernando’s place. He is a wonderful, welcoming host who communicates well and makes you feel right at home. He showed us around his family’s historical property and even played his concertina for us! His pride of his home and region really shine through all he does. He has maps of the area to share and has terrific recommendations for places to visit and eat. Our group stayed in the 3BR modern wing which he designed and built. The rooms were very clean with spacious bathrooms and beautiful views. Below is a nice open space to eat and relax. Breakfasts included homemade jams and fresh bread, along with delicious coffee, yogurt, fruit, cereals, meat, cheese, etc. The location is easy to get to - about 15 minutes from Braga - on good roads. The property is gated and covered parking was plentiful.

Only wish we had more time to explore and experience all there was to see and do in the area.

Excellent location to visit Braga. The place was relaxing especially in the morning. It has a nice view. If you like nature this is the one. It is well maintained, the room, the pool, everthing. There are restaurants near the place (5 to 10 min. walk) but unfortunately they were closed. The host, Fernando is such a nice person, friendly and helpful. He made us feel at home. He provided us everything we needed and informed us all the place we needed to visit even where we should park. One of the best host we ever met. Overall all we had a worderful time. We are definitely going back.

Everything about this accommodation was magnificent 👌 We were so comfortable, relaxed, and at home here. Three identical double bedrooms with individual ensuites were a bonus. The kitchen and living area was a unique design and very original. Doors out to patio and shared pool, which we enjoyed pretty much every late afternoon. Fernando is the most excellent host. We did not need an itinerary as he helped us with all our trips out. Breakfast was lovely. So was the wine made on the Quinta. The local area is beautiful, stunning churches (Bom Jesus), both Braga and Guimeres on the doorstep, and a short drive to the national park, which was breathtaking.. We will return...😍

It was difficult to pick anything we didn't like..

Super comfortable and the best showers in Portugal. Despite it raining non stop we had incredible views. Only about 10 minutes drive from Braga but with total peace and quiet. The pool looked great too. The breakfast was an added bonus as we forgot that was included, even though we were self catering in the villa. Best of all was the host, Fernando. He was really kind and helpful with suggestions and made us feel at home straight away.

Fernando was the best host. Anywhere I wanted to go I would ask him how the roads are etc and he would bring me a map and explain everything. I rented a car so I didn't use his services. The room was clean and comfortable, hot hotel, TV, internet. Breakfast was great with fresh buns,ham, cheese, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, croissants. The grounds are beautiful and the pool and the view and the drive there is stunning.

1 thing maybe a small heater in the room at breakfast time. was there in March so little cold to sit and eat.

The country site feeling was very good, peacefull and relaxing. The host Fernando was very friendly and provided us with information about the area which helped us find our way around. The breakfast was delicious with fresh bread, fresh figs, and several choices of home made jams. The church bell rang during the day to mark the hour, but it did not during the night which allowed us to sleep very well. We will be back to spent more time.

Small very practical cabin. Suited us well. The site was secure secure and very quiet. The local church bells cease at 9pm and start 8am. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the property and the easy access to the local sites around the district.

Fernando was a really great host and attentive to our needs. He was happy to give us sightseeing tips. We had private parking and the rooms were really nice. Everything was clean, and the location is perfect if you want to visit the north of Portugal. Overall, it was really nice and we would come back.

Our family/group stayed in the amazing villa and in one of the rooms of the main lodging, and both places were flawless. Everything was very clean, the villa was so spacious and well-appointed, and we loved that the owner, Fernando, had designed it himself. The views were amazing, the pool was clean and had lots of places to sit, we loved the privacy we had staying as a group in the villa, and the breakfasts prepared each day by Fernando were plentiful and delicious! His wife made four wonderful jams for the breakfast spread, the coffee was prepared for us each morning, and the table was set for us when we were ready to eat. Amazing! Everything one wants/needs is here! But what made our visit extra special was the host/owner, Fernando. He was so kind, caring, and always available if we needed anything. We had an unexpected and unfortunate medical emergency with one of our group, and Fernando stepped in and assisted us and helped with translating and in calling an ambulance. We honestly are grateful to Fernando beyond words. We all want to come back and spend more time at Quinta Pedras de Baixa in the future (and we hope to be there when Fernando and his band play music!).

Nothing. All of it was way beyond our expectations!

We stayed with Fernando for 6 nights. He was a star, helping us feel comfortable, telling us where to go and what to do, recommending the very reasonable local restaurant for evening meals and just being very friendly. A small jar of jam for my Dad who loves marmalade, a chance to do a load of laundry, and the use of the villa in the day were all examples of how Fernando looks after his guests. We will return to this lovely place 😀
