We got in late in the evening but the gentleman working the reception desk went out his way to accommodate us. Since there was no food available at that late time at the hotel he called a couple of local establishments to find out what time they were closing. We ended up sitting in the empty hotel bar with the same gentleman serving us drinks after a very long day. He was very friendly and informative and helped us decide what we were going to do the following day. It turned out to be a great memory and wonderful travel experience. The breakfast the following morning at the hotel dining room was good. The room was very nice with nothing lacking.

The staff member who checked us in was exceptional. He was performing many jobs: receptionist, bar tender, bus boy and waiter! And he did them all professionally and happily. He made us feel welcome right from the start! There was a lot of noise outside ( people, dogs barking, etc) but once the door to the balcony was closed, it was fairly quiet. The location took longer from Pinaho than I had hoped due to the mountainous road you must take to get there, but the tow pin was lovely with great views. Exceptional breakfast. Best we have had so far in Portugal.

I was worried the constant barking was going to be an issue but it wasn’t. I prefer designated parking spaces rather than finding a spot. We parked in front of a convenience store as the spots directly in front of the hotel were occupied. We were told this wasn’t a problem and it wasn’t, but I prefer to know my car is on hotel property. Appreciated having a fridge in the room and would love a kettle with tea and coffee.

A lovely hotel in a friendly and interesting mountain village. Room was comfortable, clean and modern. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the street below. Staff are wonderful, very helpful and provide recommendations for restaurants and sights. Good value. I definitely recommend staying here.

Booked at the last minute and got the last available room. The staff was very kind. There was a parking spot right across the street. There is a market nearby. We enjoyed our one-night stay and breakfast the next morning was fabulous!

The outside is a bit run down but the inside is very nice.

The staff was great, very friendly and welcoming; breakfast also very good, even taking into consideration hotel was half empty, and we arrived the last for the breakfast - everything was there fresh and hot and waiting for us; the bed was comfy, and the sound isolation was good (the room was facing the road - I heard nothing); parking outside of the hotel

Lovely big room. Quite remote location. Pretty little village. Hotel has a restaurant which is a big bonus. Close to wineries and probably the nicest place to stay seeing the other large villages. Very quaint village. Free parking all around.

This was a very nice hotel, and great value. The room was very nicely done up. The shower pressure was excellent & the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was advertised as featuring local products. I don't know about that but it was a good spread. Pumpkin coconut jam was excellent & quince jelly was pretty good too. The unlabelled conserves and white cheese were good too.

Minor downsides: there was no lift and I was on level 2 [1] (don't worry - that's the top level, so you only need to climb one flight of stairs at most), and the WiFi in the room was a bit spotty away from the door.

Young woman at front desk was friendly and helpful. When I said my original room had an odor in the bathroom, she quickly switched me to another room. She also helped me with catching a bus out town the following morning. She is a treasure. Also, the restaurant meal was great. The young waiter was magnificent in his service and the food was excellent.

The room was very clean and, despite the budget size and rear location, was very comfortable and had good lighting conditions. The staff was excellent, very kind and helpful. I owe a special thank you message to Milene, the wonderful receptionist who saved my day!

Comfortable room, good shower. Good location in Tabuaçu. Close to the main interest points.
