Absolutely outstanding stay in this boutique hotel and worldwide we haven’t stayed anywhere better. Perfectly situated on Poarta Schei street in the old town and within easy walking distance of all Brasov attractions. A great base for touring castles snd fortresses. There are only 3 rooms and we stayed in the onyx room (superior double) at front which had large bedroom with sitting area and a fabulous bathroom with unique shower cabinet. Gorgeous antique and quirky furnishings and super comfy beds for a great nights sleep Breakfast was fabulous, well worth the money and set us up for the day- try the Vila Katharina breakfast with 2 duck legs, caramelised onions and a glass of Prosecco! Satine the receptionist was brilliant, friendly and professional- arranged a great tour, taxi and laundry service. If you have mobility issues note that there’s no lift and the stairs are quite steep to rooms. Not far from Brasov train station ( we were inter-railing and arrived on night train from Budapest) but needs a taxi to the hotel - agree on price first if not a metered taxi and expect to pay about 20-25 Lei ( not 50 Lei that one driver asked for- there’s about 5 Lei to 1 Euro). Bus is cheaper but we couldn’t work out bus route/ signage. Taxi back from hotel to station was only 17 Lei but expect tourist prices if you’re new in town!

Everything really was perfect

on arrival, we were greeted and given a warm welcome that included a complimentary drink of the local brandy. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and super helpful. Our room was AMAZING! spacious, clean, welcoming and very well designed. The room took my breath away. The location was spot on - 2 min walk to the town square and easy to navigate. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! I would highly recommend this hotel and we are looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you for your hospitality

Absolutely loved my experience here with my wife. The Villa has a quaint little walkway that leads to a picturesque garden in which you can eat a fine dining breakfast. The room was spacious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. They even serve a free house liqueur upon arrival. Certainly recommend the breakfast service! Would stay again!

Price was a bit higher compared to other locations in Brasov, but you get what you pay for!

The room was spectacular and Anna was WONDERFUL - helping us with unexpected needs. The (front) room is fabulous - roomy and luxurious, you could not expect anything better. Breakfast is terrific. Simply put: we would tell ANYONE planning to visit Brasov thus is THE place to stay, The location also could not be better!! - it is only 2-3 blocks to the center with many wonderful outdoor restaurants

Everything was perfect - no suggestions for any "improvements"!

The place is absolutely beautiful, from the outdoor courtyard to the lounge to the rooms. The decor is lovely, relaxing and luxurious, the bed was so comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful, even though the location was perfect, a mere few min from the main Old Town Square. We were greeted with a glass of the local blueberry liquor and each day had caramel chocolates in our room. Such a lovely touch!

We loved the accommodation and the lovely bath and amazing shower but sadly the water pressure in the shower was quite weak, and the bath water didn’t go very hot sometimes.

Lovely hotel in a very convenient location. Reserved parking right outside. We had the Onyx room at the front, very comfortable and large. Good bathroom. Freshly cooked breakfast ordered the night before. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful small hotel…less than 5 rooms…charming hostess, wonderful cooked breakfast…short walk to town square and the Black Church

Nothing…we were initially fearful of the parking situation as was on a busy street with no obvious parking spaces…but the hotel kept traffic cones on the street to accommodate our car so always had a spot…and just settled the parking payment when we checked out

Excellent location, just steps away from main Council Square that’s loaded with period Saxon buildings, ambiance outdoor dining options and shops. (Free waking your daily @ 10:30am by fountain) Amazing historical relevance to Katharine, who was Vlad the Impaler’s mistress and had 5 children with him. Their detailed love story is recounted in room brochure. Quaintly served breakfast with many options including Katarina breakfast served with duck, glazed onions and Prosecco! Anna, our host, was most willing to assist where ever possible. Highly recommend!

The villa is located in a very good spot, there are parking lots reserved for the guests (although for a fee), the design and the furniture in the rooms is very special, the staff is very amiable and willing to help, they considered all our requests (baby crib, gluten free breakfast options, room temperature), they welcomed us with local brandy and chocolate, and they recommended us great restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our stay there and we will come back for sure. 🙂

plastic shower cabin doesn't match with this beautifully decorated room. but not a big deal....
