Timisoara is a beautiful city with no traffic in the old town, just fabulous open squares with cathedrals, open air restaurants and lots of space, Timisoara Hotel is perfectly placed at the end of one of the squares, opposite the Cathedral and next to the opera house, with easy walks to two other main squares, a multitude of restaurants and bookshops, the river, the University and the tram line. Rooms are ample, well maintained, excellent shower and bathtub, well stocked minibar, decent wifi, kettle, TV looked fine but didn't have time to use it. The spa looked good but no time to try it so hope to return. Very well stocked bar, especially with Scottish single malts. Most people can communicate in English so my poor attempts at Romanian didn't lead to disaster!

The hotel and service is great but lacks those little extra touches that would make it superb e.g. no courtesy bottles of water in the room, no adaptors available for 3pin plugs, no local map or directory or tourist info - there was probably something online to be fair but nothing to hand. The wifi is 'open' so I decided against online banking and other business activity I would have liked to have done.

Good quality room. Comfy bed. Location is excellent, near to one of the squares where there was a xmas market. Staff always seemed helpful and professional. Good sized lobby area. Was able to store my luggage for most of the day.

I only stayed one night so didn't really notice any issues.

The location Spa with sauna and the pool. It was very relaxing. Clean rooms. We had a room with nice view. Super comfortable bed.

Personel at the counter might be more customer oriented. I would appreciate to have a spoon in the room. There was a coffee machine but without the tablets that would fit in. There is a note about available microwave on booking.com however it wasn't available in their rooms. The receptionist told me it is a problem of the booking.com not the problem of the hotel. It would help to have a garbage bin in the room not only in the bathroom. The water flow is very slow so it takes a long time to fill up the bath tub.

The location was right in the city centre and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the city cente. Simply amazing. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was big as well. The receptionists were really friendly and helpful.

The breakfast room is rather separated from the hotel and the lighting needs work there. It was really dark and it seemed closed off. They seemed understaffed at breakfast and with no chef, but we did come during the Easter holidays so I can understand it a bit. Also the spa and sauna were closed, again due to Easter holidays, but we were warned beforehand (on booking directly actually). The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and I actually slept without one.

Hotel is at superb location right at the center. It has underground parking and little swomming pool, handy outdoor teracce with roof, onsite restaurant and Starbucks cafe. Staff is friendly and professional, this improved since our last visit 4 years ago.

The family rooms are bit noisy, through the ventilation you hear talks from other rooms. The sofa bed is ok for children, but not very comfy for an adult. The slates on main double bed were broken and the mattress kept falling through, which we managed to fix luckily, but we had to do it ourselves.

Location was great. Hotel bar was great and opened long time. Many places where you can sit down with your colleagues and work/discuss/drink in the lobby of the hotel... NIce and competent stuff on the reception.

Breakfast - not bad, but definitelly not the best one. Small variety of choice... Cleaning - there was a corner and small places vhere they do not clean everytime as I gues... Claening done more on visible places... But in overall still clean and nice... Could be just improved (e.g. 5 more minutes for cleaning of one room?)

Great location near the city square , so walking distance to good restaurants and bars. The staff was very helpful with a private driver contact that we needed and made our trip to be excellent!

The room wasn’t very clean. The bathroom in particular could have been better for our arrival. The subsequent nights improved.

Location was great, it's in the city ,but it's not noisy .The staff were absolutely nice and helpful. We arrived at 2:00am and there was no problem for checking in at that time in the morning. The room was very good, with clean bathrobes in the wardrobe and new slippers for each customer.

The sofa was quite firm to sleep on, but for one night was fine. But everything else was absolutely fantastic.
