Beautiful design, clean, comfortable and safe. Valet service was helpful given the lack of parking.

We had stopped by the check in desk the day prior to our reservation to have some questions answered. The front desk person checking us in was clueless about the hotel policies, she didn’t even know the correct check-in time. She was smiling and was pleasant but completely unhelpful. I called the hotel reservation line and had our questions answered that way. The restaurant was worse in communicating with us prior to checking in. I tried to arrange a dinner reservation by phone and by email several times but no one replied. A business center would have been helpful as we had to work remotely for a couple of hours per day but we made do.

Everything was outstanding! The hotel is gorgeous, but what really stands out is their extremely friendly, courteous, professional, helpful, and amazing employees!!!! We traveled from Pittsburgh, Pa for my daughter to visit Clemson University. After checking in, one of the employees helped me with all of my luggage. This meant so much, especially after such a long drive. Then we stopped at our beautiful room and freshened up, went to the bar on the 3rd floor where we met the bartender, Emily Jo. It just happened to be my birthday. Emily Jo was so personable and made my birthday special! She's the best! Now about the rooms.... fabulous!!!! The most comfortable beds I have ever slept in during a stay at a hotel, and everything was so clean, new, and cozy. The restaurant's food is delicious and healthy. Additionally, the valet guys were awesome! Again, everyone was so kind, professional, and efficient. Loved it here so much, it was hard to say goodbye!!!

We stayed at The Shepherd Hotel for a college visit of my daughter. This is hands down one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed. It is brand new, clean, modern and at the same time so cozy. Everyone went out of their way to help and make the stay wonderful. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. My daughters and I were so impressed by the attention to detail in this boutique hotel. Nothing here is “standard”, everything is special – even the cups for breakfast. The location is perfect. A short walk to the restaurants in downtown and a 7 minutes walk to the visitor center of the college where our tour started. They even let us keep the car at the hotel while we toured the college, so we didn’t have to worry about parking. I wish there would be more hotels like this. We will for sure stay here again when we come back.

Great location Beautiful space

2 nights in a row service at the Thomas Bar was awful. The staff is either inexperienced or poorly trained or both. Neither night was particularly busy and it was impossible to get waitresses attention. Eventually gave up and waited at bar for 45 minutes. There were probably 25 people total in the bar (if that many) so not sure what the problem was.

The most convenient location to Clemson university. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and friendly staff. I have stayed here multiple times, and it’s my first go to place, unless it is a football home game weekend.

Service at breakfast was a bit slow. We came at the end of students’ winter break and they were out of some breakfast items.

10. Highly recommend. Our stay was recommended by a friend and the experience was everything we thought it'd be and more. The food at Delish Sisters was amazing and the view on the patio of Thomas Bar was spectacular...great photo op with Tillman Hall in the background. Staff were courteous and extremely engaging. We felt comfortable and a bit pampered. Great experience. We will definitely be back!

The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Staff were all very friendly and chatty. Loved the location and the decor of the hotel was beautiful. Also really enjoyed the level 3 bar and roof top

Travelling from Australia, we had quite a bit of luggage so our only negative was the rooms were quite small, but not a big deal, just an observation.

It's so comfortable and the staff is so friendly and helpful- from valet to the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping - they were all amazing! Location location location- right in the heart of Clemson University!

Availability is tough- so I always look here first for rooms before I look at any other places.

The Shepherd Hotel in downtown Clemson was one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed at, and what set it apart from any other hotel, was the amazing staff! They were so friendly, and the hotel was so amazing, that my wife and I have already booked another stay for next month for our 30th Anniversary!!

Nothing, it was a perfect stay!

The delish sisters was an awesome place for dinner. The breakfast line and wait was really long on day two we ate breakfast outside the hotel. The balcony at the bar was a great afternoon location

Drinks at the bar could be better specifically the margaritas. Although evolve across the street has great ones!
