Location was good

Unfortunately, the actual rooms are very different from the photos. The rooms were quite dirty, and someone was smoking in the neighboring rooms, causing the smell to seep into ours. The hotel hasn’t been renovated in a long time—the bathroom was worn out, and the walls had cracks. On top of that, we faced an issue with the crib I had requested for my baby. The hotel responded that they would provide one if available. However, upon arrival, a staff member told us that they never had cribs in the first place. Had I known this in advance, I would have brought one with me. Instead, I had to sleep with my baby on a high bed, and I barely slept due to the stress of worrying that my child might fall.

Beds were extremely comfortable and very clean. Lots of light in room and easy to get close to well lit mirror for applying make up etc. There was a free coffee machine in reception and well stocked vending machines. Location was perfect for me - very near to Van Ness metro station red line plus there were also nearby bus stops. Close to a ‘Giant’ supermarket, CVS, an award winning bakery, Potbelly’s and Starbucks to name just a few. I was visiting family who live on Van Ness NW and this was only hotel I could find in vicinity but it was fine.

Although website said daily housekeeping on arrival there was a sign on reception saying housekeeping was once every 3 days unless requested. I had to ask for some fresh towels and I got them. There was no wardrobe as such in room, only 2 hooks with 3 coat hangers on each but this was really only downside. Furniture looked quite new.

The location is nice, fancy, and quite and not too far from the touristic attractions. The room is comfortable and clean.

They ignore my request for early check in and when we arrived the morning receptionist lady was so tough and unfriendly, and though the room was empty and though we have sent an early request for early check in, she insisted to pay for the early check in 40$ or to wait for 3 hours, because she noticed that we are so tired and I think better to earn people instead of earn money specially when you already not a cheap price!!

The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. It was a rainy Saturday evening and there was a long line to check in. But she was not only accurate but accommodating to people politely. I left my umbrella in the lobby and when I asked her about it, she gave me my umbrella, neatly folded. The people at the front desk when I checked out were also friendly and nice. Overall, I found this to be a welcoming and well-mannered hotel for guests. The facility was old but clean. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Toiletries, hair dryer, iron, coffee, tea. There was a TV, but I didn't watch it, so I don't know how it was. And the price was very reasonable even for the Weekend.

The A/C was old and noisy. People with sensitive ears may be better off bringing earplugs.

I ALWAYS stay due to the location, close to the Metro and the places to eat/shop are quite easy to get to. Location in DC is extremely important to me and being able to get around easily.

I think the property itself could use some upgrades. Maybe a paint job in the common areas, a rug change. Maybe some sprucing up to the rugs in the hallways and rooms. Also, my door didn't quite close all the way so you could see a bit inside from the hall. Luckily, my room was at the very end though.

Affordable, quiet, close to the capital building, pentagon, federal reserve and Washington monument, as well as not to far from Walmart near Georgia (the street)

Elevator which probably can't be renovated but it's tight quarters and paid parking dut to the accommodations it really should only cost $10 if anything I still had to park in the rental car section but I was driving a rental car (black SUV) that I traveled in

I'm surprised by the negative comments. My room was spotless and odor-free. It was remarkably quiet throughout the hotel, and as someone who's quite sensitive to noise when sleeping, I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. The concerns about thin walls and hearing neighbors turned out to be unfounded in my experience. So, I definitely recommend this place. It's conveniently located near a metro station and a CVS Pharmacy. I give this hotel a 10-star rating for its cleanliness, tranquility, and the kindness of the staff.

What I like most about this hotel is its location. It is not in the very center, but there is a metro stop just 3 minutes away, from which you can quickly and conveniently reach the center or any other place you need with the red line. There are a number of places to eat in the area, as well as a restaurant associated with the hotel. The area is safe. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Slow elevator. But this is a complete trifle.

The facilities were very clean. The staff were very polite. The parking was great. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to any of our friends and family.

This is my second stay in approximately two weeks- this time I noticed there wasn’t a microwave or mini refrigerator. It would be helpful to have something to store and reheat left overs for the midnight snack.

Convenient to the metro, (Van Ness)& the DC University Great staff, especially Gloria, Nora,Marcus & a wonderful man who was cleaning up the property outside & saw I was struggling to get my suitcase in the car & helped me & asked if he could help with anything else accommodating, friendly, professional, totally excellent! The beds were very comfortable , many pillows, room was a good size, & very clean. If you want a refrigerator you have to reserve one it costs 15$/night but it also comes with a microwave ( the refrigerator was the coldest refrigerator I have ever used in a hotel, the best. The price can’t be beat for being so close to DC proper . The parking is 25$/night which is a steal for hotel parking in a big metropolitan city. After 6:30 pm on a Saturday night until Monday morning the meters are free. It’s a quiet, safe neighborhood closes early. We really loved our stay here
