I stayed here for 3 nights with my family as our base to visit D.C. downtown. It was 25-30 minutes drive to get the downtown are but it will depend on traffic. You can easily find nice restaurants and bards in Bethesda downtown area. It was a bit challenging for me to drive from the hotel to D.C. downtown as Washington road traffic network is such tricky and busy though, I can tell you my decision to use this hotel as a base was right. Hotels and restaurants in the downtown are expensive. Lobby and room were nice. A hotel clerk at the lobby was very kind, professional, and helpful.

I felt parking space was small and narrow but I found out it was normal in D.C. If you don't like parking building, you can also find a parking area behind the hotel building. We parked there after we found it. It was much easier than parking inside building.

King size bed was comfortable. Room size was ok. It was clean. Bathroom was ok, comfy shower. Restaurant neighborhood was a short drive away which was very lively and fun.

I booked a room with breakfast only to find out that only meant a $30 credit where I had to spend additional $20 for a 3 person breakfast, which brought the overall cost to $220 per night, which I find was a bit expensive. My expectation was the typical buffet breakfast, so that was a bit dissapointing. There were no sheets nor pillow readily available for the futon bed, so we had to request a set.

Did not stay for long but I love the lobby area. It was very inviting and there were a good amount of choices od Snacks. The employee Alfred was very kind and patient. I appreciated his hospitality, especially when I was confused about parking. before I checked in, I called earlier about other questions, and the staff was just very patient, and answered my questions. also, the hotel is in a good location. There are a lot of restaurants around and scenery.

I liked the location. It was easy to get around and close enough to Washington dc that it was convenient. The rooms were clean and modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I didn't like that I had to pay an extra $30 a day to park my car when I was already a guest of the hotel paying a nightly room rate. I feel that should be included in the price of the room. This is the first hotel I ever stayed at that charged me to park my car in their lot.

Location was good, 3 blocks from the Metro and Whole Foods, where we had most of our meals. There is an on-site laundry, which used to be free, but is now $3 per machine. The service at the front desk was excellent overall-we needed to borrow a scale to weigh out bags as well as a vacuum to use on storage bags (we were moving our daughter out of her college dorm) and we were able to obtain them. We were also able to keep our bags in our rooms an hour after check out.

Since rooms are cleaned every 4 days, it was sometimes hard to obtain extra toilet paper or Kleenex. Perhaps there should be an extra roll of to or box of Kleenex in the rooms to make things easier.

A very comfortable room and bed, spotless bathroom, good free cookies and coffee available at reception. Huge TV. The ideal location for us. Nice gym available with lots of machines. Close proximity to the subway to get into DC.

The pool was pretty dirty, with leaves, insects, and a dirty floor, so sadly I didn't use it.

You can easily walk five blocks or so to the Friendship Heights Metro station. Great access to everything in downtown DC. It’s also a real property that has a parking garage that allows for high clearance vans. This is essential since I was traveling with a large group of students.

It’s not the hotels fault, but be prepared that there are very few breakfast or lunch options in the neighborhood. There’s a Starbucks a block away, but otherwise very few options. Some of my group use the breakfast in the hotel, which was fine, but pricey.

the staff was so nice and pleasing with all our needs. that’s the reason why I keep coming back

I got stuck in the elevator for 25 minutes. they couldn’t get me out l, and I was feeling anxious and getting panic attacks. No one GM Gad the courtesy to ask me if I was OK after the incident, which was their fault, as an elevator that was being repaired, was sent to my floor mistakenly, when it shouldn’t have to. I’m in the scary side to get in elevator after the incident.

nice location, front desk staff were super helpful

our room did not have any supplies- had to ask for soap and there was no toliet paper when we checked in (nor any tolietries). only one set of towels for two people. front desk staff was quick to arrange for items but it was annoying to constantly have to go and ask for things that should have been in room automatically (especially since a one nights stay isnt cheap). 6th floor down call button on elevator didnt work so that was annoying.

you can’t beat the location and the staff are as friendly and welcoming as can be!

I had breakfast (a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich). It was hot and fresh, made quickly by an attentive server. But it had no flavor at all, not even the bacon. The only things I tasted were the salt and pepper I added myself. Also, the fitness room is well-equipped, but it was VERY warm in there - there didn’t seem to be any air conditioning on at all.
