On arrival, the very friendly reception staff helped us check in and secure a last minute booking in the restaurant before escorting us to our room. The room was enormous and very nicely finished with a large comfy bed. The bar area was great and had live music on. Donegal town is a short walk away and offers a range of additional bars and restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best hotel breakfasts i've had and we were allowed to use the leisure facilities after check out. The leisure centre staff also kindly gave us euros to use the lockers which was much appreciated.

Struggling to think of anything but the only minor points would be the Netflix app not working on the TV in the room and we had a bit of a wait for our table at breakfast but neither really impacted our experience!

Comfortable big rooms and plenty of room for family of four with a baby.. We used the pool, steam room, jacuzzi and gym and they were excellent. Breakfast had plenty of choice and food was hot and fresh. We also had dinner one of the nights in chapter twenty and food was lovely. Staff were also very friendly in all areas of the hotel from front desk, cleaners, leisure centre, restaurant staff and breakfast staff. 10 min walk to donegal town ... Could not fault the hotel at all....

If I had to think of something the room could do with a fridge...

Beautiful 4* hotel. From start to finish the trip with family was very enjoyable. The extensive menu had excellent choices. The food is top quality. The rooms are spacious and spotless. We are planning a return visit.

The overall temperature in the hotel was a little too warm. Although the hotel is very clean, a member of my family found a half-eaten biscuit underneath a chair in their bedroom. In the restaurant, when the waiter cleared our plates after the main course, he scraped the plates in front of us. This should happen away from the table.

Swimming pool and leisure facilities were clean, well equipped and overseen by friendly, helpful staff. Dinner in the restaurant was really tasty with good portions and a reasonable price. We stayed in a standard double room which was spacious and had all the essentials you would expect, again cleaned to a high standard.

The mattress was a little hard for our preference and the pillows not so soft, for a 4* hotel we had hoped for a little more comfortable bed. Breakfast also wasn't the greatest with a limited selection of food available and the distinct impression of having chosen the cheapest available produce, although the service was good and breakfast was included in the price anyway.

Really everything was excellent. Staff in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast were great. Anyone staff we met around the hotel were great.

We both thought the reception area was poor and mainly the staff, it was cold and uninviting very matter of fact, almost as if they didn’t want to be there. As I travel a lot and stay in many hotels I view reception as very important as it is the first point of contact with the customer and sets the scene for the stay.

The bed was amazingly comfortable. The bath was lush. The staff were the best. I told the manager of the restaurant how wonderful they all were, even the younger ones. And the food in the restaurant was JUST sublime . Great stay Thank you so much

The only tiny thing was the TV reception was a bit dodgy but that's just a posh problem. And the musician wasn't up my street but U can't please them all. Would have been extra special to have a more modern coffee maker in the wardrobe.

Great location, just a short 5-10 min walk down into the town. Superb self service buffet breakfast, great quality food and great selection. Restaurant had a nice bar and had a good atmosphere. Staff all very helpful and friendly

Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. Guinness maybe could have been slightly better, but was ok.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. It is set in peaceful surroundings with a short 10 mins walk to the centre. Food was delicious in the restaurant. It has a lovely ambience with great natural lighting. The lounge area is also relaxing and perfect for a coffee or drink. Gym is dated and could do with a facelift but it has all you need. Pool is nice. Rooms are a good size and the bed is comfy. Overall, happy with our stay and would definitely book again.

Very modern, spacious, short distance to main town. Impeccably clean in all areas, complete with leisure facilities. Travelled as a couple with friends for a local gig, every staff member we came across were extremely pleasant and helpful. I find a lot of workers in customer service have lost those good qualities, but not in this hotel, we received outstanding service, from the young blonde receptionist to the male and female staff in the in-house restaurant to the night security/ all very nice people with great manners, able to build good rapport with their customers. This venue is a bit more pricey than some others but definitely worth every penny. The interior decor is beautifully finished, gives a traditional feel with the rafters in the Granary bar, but also modern and fresh. If anyone ever asks me to recommend a venue in the area or for an event/wedding- this is one I would suggest. I’ve worked in customer service and there is no point having top notch facilities if there is poor customer service, this venue is top class in all areas. The food from the restaurant was outstanding, aswell as the breakfast. Will be gladly returning in May for a local wedding. Rooms are very spacious and kudos for the 12 noon checkout time, adds a bonus to your stay when you can relax a little longer the next morning, most hotels I’ve been to recently had a 10-11 checkout, I would return here as this adds to the value of my booking. We were even allowed an extra hour late checkout free of charge to 1pm! I’m guessing as it was a Sunday, but again fantastic customer service. Well done to all at the Millpark Hotel.

No cons whatsoever.

Great location with a short walk into Donegal town centre. Highly recommend the walk and a pint at the Castle Bar - fabulous atmosphere and great publican. Great breakfast and fantastic spot from which to base yourself exploring the amazing scenery of Donegal County.

A little dated and given it was low season, we were in the older part of the hotel, with sound attenuation not as good as you’d expect but very comfortable beds.
