Jackson's Hotel

The location was very good, close to other places to explore such as Glenveagh National Park and Letterkenny. The buffet breakfast was very tasty and had plenty of choice. The room was very clean and comfortable.

We had hoped to use the leisure facilities and the swimming pool which was one of the main reasons for booking this particular hotel.However, there was children's swimming lessons taking place a good part of the day which meant we weren't able to fit in a swim around them unless we had an early or late swim which didn't suit us. The shower in the bathroom had a very weak flow coming out of it.

This hotel is ideally situated in the town and is a great base for travelling around the wonderfully sceanic Donegal. It had a lovely reception and bar areas. The room was clean and tidy with a lovely comfy bed and over the bath shower 🛀. They did a lovely breakfast and the staff are all very lovely. There is plenty of parking. They do have a pool which we were very excited about but unfortunately never got the chance to use it, so I can not comment on it, but its a reason to return.😊

The room needs some work, It had squeaky floorboards and needs some sort of sound proofing. Not a word of a lie... I was woke in the middle of the night and I taught there were people in our actual room because I could hear them talking so loud and clear.. Also could here the couple upstairs and the family under us. Not massive negatives, I would still return.

Had a nice view of the river from our room. Nice adult bar, although our youngest son couldn’t go in it. Reasonable food in the restaurant. Kids loved the pool.

Parking was sometimes difficult as limited. We did have some service issues in the restaurant but they gave us a discount to compensate. The menu stayed the same each day so we found it difficult to eat in the hotel for our entire stay. Breakfast was busy and there was sometimes a queue for the hot food. They didn’t have a lounge just a few sofas in the reception so there wasn’t really a cosy place to sit as a family apart from in the bar.

Every Member of Staff was friendly and helpful and had a smile, Needed to add a cot for Toddler and a Fan was requested by us and we had it sent up to our room within 10 minutes . The Pool was my daughters favorite part and the staff always made sure to give her a few pool toys to play with. We were contemplating adding an extra night when leaving but wasn't feasible.

The Room was a little uncomfortable for two adults and a toddler but that's not the hotels fault , Weather was very warm and this made the room uncomfortable, no fault of Hotel , Brought up multiple bottles of Cold water through out the night.

The staff were extremely friendly and very well at giving information about the local area, dinner was fantastic both nights we went. We tried one of the other restaurants the whole hotel was extremely clean and well kept. So was the pool and spa area!. Would definitely return also the night door man was extremely friendly and chatty didn't catch his name unfortunately.oh also the beds are a trap not a big napper but the bed you would just lay down and the bed would knock you out in two seconds.

Breakfast was just ok we went around 9am, and the shower pressure wasn't great in the room tbh very modern and well kept but was the only annoying thing about the room

The hotel was great! We had the best time. There was a little issue with their renovations early in the morning, HOWEVER, it was quickly resolved. The staff was so lovely and well mannered and upgraded our room. It was a great wee break for us and we really enjoyed our time here. This was our second time here and will definitely be back again. It’s in a good location, driving distance from Donegal town and bundoran.

The food in the Restaurant was good however slightly over priced.

I booked a twin room on line but this did not carry through to Jacksons and when we arrived we had been allocated a double bed. As I was traveling with my brother I asked to change to twin beds and the member of staff on reception immediately checked and although it had appeared to have been booked as a double he immediately changed it to a twin. Excellent service.

We had traveled for a funeral at short notice and arrived late. We went to visit family and arrived back to the hotel quite late to find the doors locked and we had to ring the bell. The person who let us in appeared to be quite disgruntled at having to let us in so late. However, we spoke to the lovely girl on Reception the next day and asked what we should do if the same happened that evening and she said no problem I will let the night staff know that you may be late and you should just ring the bell, which we did and the member of staff was very friendly. Again excellent service from the reception staff.

It was so easy to get to the staff was top class and the rooms and all were so so lovely we were there for a family wedding and omg it was amazing I would really recommend anyone getting married to give jacksons hotel a call 🤙 the food was so nice xx

Well I did pay for a update but didn't get one and when went to get breakfast the next morning my name wasn't on the list and when my husband went to book in they said my name wasn't on the computer but it wasa good place to stay xx
