The hotel is centrally located just two blocks away from the river and the main sights; note that around there are a lot of one-way and pedestrianised streets – it is not straightforward to get here by car. When you made it, there are five parking lots reserved on the street in front of the building for 30 rooms – make sure you reserve one… Check-in was efficient; they send you an invitation for an online check-in, which speeds up things considerably. Once checked in, there is an elevator up to the rooms; however, to get into the building / to the reception, you have to walk up a flight of stairs. Rooms are about the right size for an inner-city hotel, with a small desk and even an armchair; they also have a fridge (no minibar). The WiFi worked well for me; the hairdryer comes with with US-style sockets – convenient for overseas visitors. The beds are comfortable, with two pillow types; there are curtains to keep out the daylight. For an inner-city location, the streets are reasonably quiet.

The toilet is a bit small (certainly only suitable for one person) but does the trick. There are restaurants with outdoor seating next door (very good food, actually), which can be noisy – but they close at 11 pm.

In the room there is a quiet little fridge, a kettle, two tea filters and Nescafe, two bottles of water. The room was quiet, comfortable and functional. Center, main city sights, restaurants, cafes, groceries everything is within 5-15 min by walk. If you come with an EV, there are public charging stations on the street nearby. Charging is limited on 3 hours, so it's not possible charging overnight. I noticed a few the same umbrellas by the front door. I guess in case of a rain you can borrow them. I thing it is very useful.

When booking the parking, it was not accent the spot in front of the hotel costs 16 euros, but on Saturdays after 3 pm and for the whole of Sunday, public parking on the street is free. We used the public parking. Breakfast is hybrid self-service - it is possible to make coffee, tea, pour water, orange juice, milk, choose different types of cheese, cereals but the waiter will bring you bakery products and something cooked, e.g. omelette with vegetables. If you choose this option, it may happen that you are already full while waiting for the "real food". But everything was delicious. A small ventilation shaft has been cut out at the top of the window. The cover is missing, so those who are sensitive can feel micro air currents.

Great location on the door step of everything you need to experience in LjublJana. We travelled by train and the hotel was not too far for us. It was an easy walk. Breakfast was very satisfying and set us up for the whole day until dinner time. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.

Rained a lot while we were there but it didn't impact on our stay in beautiful LjublJana. Definitely our favourite place of all on our trip through Europe

Practically everything went well. Due to delay in connecting flights, I was in constant touch with Hotel reception and Arif was just amazing with prompt responses and support. The property location was central close to happening places and Slovenia castle. Lots of café, fast food joints, restaurants, bar were within 2 mins of walk from Hotel Mrak. The breakfast at the hotel was JUST Superb. The spread was apt and the warm dishes served daily provided a warm and loving touch to the daily breakfast. I was also offered support by the reception desk in calling for a taxi, directing me to telecom centre, offer assistance and support in providing adaptors. - All in all it was an AMAZING stay and a wonderful SUPPORT provided by everyone at the hotel. I will give a 10 on 10 to my experience.

Fantastic location a stone's throw from riverside Ljubljana in a great modern hotel with a cool vibe. Super clean room and comfy bed and pillows. We only stayed one night but it was a great choice. Staff was helpful especially for parking which you need to reserve ahead even though booking.com says this isn't possible. Call hotel or message them about it.

Nothing, it was excellent

Good location, very good option from the kitchen at the breakfast (self service option are a bit disappointing but just focus on the kitchen offer), great value for the price, staff is really welcoming and kind and good looking room. They also offer reliable transfer to/from the airport at a fair price.

All good but some downside with the facilities. Internet seems a bit slow, the pillow was a bit too thick for me but haven’t ask if there was a pillow option due to the late arrival and the worst was the noise made by the A/C system in the room which had to remain off. Maybe replace the small plastic bottle for the shower gel by refillable distributor and increase the quality. Nothing major for this price point but could be reviewed but this is why I gave 8 and not 9.

We were very satisfied with our stay. Kind staff, comfortable rooms, super pet-friendly hotel (doggy gets treats and cuddles) in the city centre, in my favorite area in Ljubljana. I lived three houses away when I lived in Ljubljana. Surrounded by bars and hip restaurants. There’s also a very comfy common area, probably very useful for winter and rainy days. We stayed there twice and for sure we will come back when we are again in Ljubljana.

Very convenient location, walking distance from all attractions and plenty of nice restaurants and cafes around, quite modern design and setting, excellent breakfast, fairly easy to park the car, especially if you ask for the hotel parking in advance.

Noise from the street, noise from the elevator, darkness in the room (small window with dark furniture and wallpaper), empty mini bar fridge, in-room powder coffee (instant), no restaurant/other food options on site. Additionally, I got badly bitten up by some bugs/flies?, not sure if this was hotel-bugs or outside, but I never get a skin reaction the way I got...

We stayed on the 4th floor which had just finished being renovated so in the first day we had to move from two different rooms since there were issues with the first two room. Nothing serious just things that happen when renovated. our final room was real nice. The staff were great and breakfast were really good. The Easter breakfast was over the top. The location worked extremely well for us. I would think in the busy season it would even be better as you would be close to everything but far enough away to be in a quiet area for sleeping. Both my wife and I were very happy with our stay here.

The location is what set this hotel apart for us. It's close to the river and tourist area, but far enough away that you feel like you are in a real neighborhood. And Le Petite Cafe next door is an AWESOME place to get coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet.

Parking is a bit of a pain--the hotel did not offer it. If you park in the paid lot, be prepared with cash and small bills when you need to leave.
