My stay was pleasant. The the owner was friendly and very welcoming. Even though it's self catering they ensured we had our teas, coffees, rusks even breakfast was thought of with cereal, eggs and milk. After our 10 hour drive we were all exhausted but the property itself is beautiful i had to take a walk around the grounds with my kids. They enjoyed seeing the animals and it was peaceful and wholesome. It's definitely a 10 out of 10 for me.

We had a warm welcome from host Ayden, who explained everything in a cheerful happy manner. Beautifully decorated room. Comfy bed. It was a great help to have a well fitted out kitchen for self catering. And the care in supplying fresh milk, eggs, cereals and rusks was much appreciated. The surroundings were well kept with a nice farm atmosphere. We will definitely stay at De Stallen again. We stayed at 14 different places over a 2 1/2 weeks tour to Namibia and back, and this was definitely the best place we stayed at. Great way to end our trip!

Absolutely nothing to be unhappy about.

Warm welcome on arrival. The lovely extras in the room; tea, coffee, fresh milk, fresh eggs, cereals, etc.... really made our overnight stay wonderful. The menus in the room allowing us to order from places in the area with Uber gave us time to rest up and wait for the delivery. Thank you for making our overnight say restful so that we could continue our journey, the next day, refreshed.

We felt safe and secure. The location was close to all main routes in and around Bloemfontein. They are pet friendly which was a huge bonus for us as we don't travel without our small pets. There is space for pets to play and the pets on the premises are very well mannered and friendly.

There is nothing that we did not like about this place.

Like the style of the accommodation, it is plain and not too much clutter. Love the space, although the bathroom is a bit tiny. Would have liked a separate shower, not too fond of bath showers. Older people struggle to climb in bath and there is a risk of falling - thank you for the non-slip bath mat though!

As above, the bathroom could be a bit different. Did not like the entrance to the guest house much, it is too steep (the angle is too high), especially with towing a caravan. The caravan scraped at the bottom, no matter how we tried to go in and out at an angle. Would be nice if the entrance can be leveled out a bit more. Then the pathway is a bit narrow, affecting the parking at the room, it is like a 90degree turn. Trying to park and turn in there is a bit too narrow. Bakkie's can't turn that sharp. It would be nice to have wider pathways and maybe more space for parking. Parking is always a problem at any good guesthouse, but you have the space and I think you can make it an even better experience for future customers.

It was an exceptional stay with a farm atmosphere. We even participated in feeding the donkeys and horses. The hosts were terrific and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. They even provided fresh milk and eggs for our breakfast. A great overnighter en route from the Cape. Thank you.

My son and I traveled a very long way. This was an amazing gem stop over. We loved the fresh air and open spaces for my son to run around after being cooped up in the car all day. Per friendly, and our Fluffy dog was comfortable sharing our room. It was a last-minute booking. Therefore, the fresh milk, eggs, and cereal were a great touch to us, the unprepaired travelers. I highly recommend staying here if you are passing through. The accommodation exceeds expectations and the hosts are lovely. The bonus is the beautiful setting with the animals and peace and quiet. I felt like it was a home away from home.

The only down-side for us was that the bed was VERY soft, which we were not accustomed to, so unfortunately we both woke up with very sore backs the next morning.

I really appreciated the eggs, milk and rusks that were provided, and thought the kitchenette very well equipped considering the space and room restrictions. The room was beautifully decorated and well planned, and the general atmosphere very quiet and peaceful.

The noises (cell-phone pings, TV etc.) from the adjacent room came through clearly.
