The breakfast was very nice

The breakfast was excellent - the chef went the extra mile to make sure we started the each day with a high. Her use of fresh herbs made a huge impact. The staff ensured we were cared for, irrespective of our irregular schedule due to long days out. Being out of the bustle of town was a huge plus for us - definitely a big plus for a relaxing break.

The hotel has old fashioned charm with wonderful warm friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable with crisp linen and soft pillows. The bathroom was large and had a bath and separate shower, both with piping hot water. It was a quiet time for the hotel so the menu was wisely limited but everything served was well presented and well cooked and delicious.

It would have been lovely if the open gas fireplaces in the bedrooms were still in operation.

The rooms are very spacious and modern. The big mounted TV was perfect for having a relaxing Netflix and chill day in bed when the weather wasn't great. There's a beautiful view to enjoy your breakfast by. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful. A highlight was also the teeny tiny doggy resident to greet you in the mornings.

Our entire experience was fantastic, from the time Zinthle checked us in till the time Windom checked us out. The service we received from Anelisa and Allison was remarkable. Allison was also great at recommending places for us to visit or to go on a hike. Studington went out of his way to make cocktails that we not on any menu, and Bruce made some special scones for my daughter on the day we left. The staff at Far Hills, make this place so amazing. We went in as guests, but left feeling like part of the family. We will definitely be visiting again. I hope this message reaches all the staff.

The location is excellent and well within driving range to most attractions in the area. Breakfast was a great start to the mornings. The lunch / dinner menu, although small and limited was sufficient and well prepared. The friendliness of all staff, from the manager, barman, waiters and the chef was exceptional.

Unfortunately the Cappuchino coffee machine broke down and for the last couple of days there was only normal coffee available. We stayed on a unit at ground level, and the people occupying the unit directly above us had the habit of regularly moving the furniture around from about 22h00 at night, and this was rather annoying. However, after I reported the matter to reception, the situation improved. Some connection errors and slow WiFi were experienced that would have been a pain for visitors wanting to watch TV while on holiday, but it didn't bother.

OH MY WORD! The breakfast was prepared earlier for us as I had to be in hospital. The lovely chef even came out to wish me well. The receptionist was so accommodating and professional! The breakfast was delicious and service tops! I am in this industry too, and have a very critical eye! You guys ROCK!!!

When we looked at your website the dinner menu was far more extensive that what we saw when we wanted to dine there. Alas we ate off-site, but would have loved to have enjoyed dinner there, as everything else was top notch.

The staff were fantastic and behaved as if they personally owned the business. \To the extreme - highly unusual, but no ecaggeration.

The facilities were a bit dated and showed a bit of lack of investment. BUT the location, views, setting and fantastic staff more than made up for it.

The establishment was excellent. The staff were even more amazing. Zintle hope I am spelling is correctly was the best receptionist I have come across in all my travels. Rate her at 5 star. The kitchen staffing was even great especially Chef Bruce who prepared a great buffet breakfast and even better New Year's party catering. Thanks to Alison an Asanda - waitrons, brilliant assistance.
