Located in the perfect spot, within walking distance of many highly-rated restaurants and convenience stores. The decor was nice and homely. The staff were so kind and happy to help, always. Fair amount of space in the rooms, with comfortable beds, a desk, and charging adaptors.

Extremely thin walls, to the point where a TV at normal volume was completely audible from our room, and normal-volume conversation was disturbing. The room doors were old, and the closing mechanism would not engage, leaving us to lock the door completely.

Breakfast was nice but no variation in options. This can become boring after a couple of days. The waitress was very friendly and made us feel special. The room and bathroom is old and dark and the mattress was rock hard and very hard to sleep on. They were not able to replace it with another.

The beds and our room was next to the pool so it was quite noisy when guests were lying outside and swimming.

I had a wonderful stay at Oakhurst. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (I arrived very late from Cape Town and they were very welcoming and understanding!). The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The hotel is very central and close to several good restaurants as well as the mountain trails. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in George.

We were attending the George Old Car Show and the hotel was on the same road as the venue for the show which was really convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Especially Tiaan and Pinky. They were so happy to accommodate guests for any requests they had. My room had a lovely walk in shower and the aircon worked perfectly which was needed as it was very hot over the weekend. The rooms were very clean and the bed and linen were very clean and comfortable. The rooms were serviced everyday.

This is not really something I didn't like but more of a request. The breakfast was lovely but they had pork sausages, beef sausages and bacon. As I don't eat beef or pork it would be nice if they could swap one of those options for a lamb or chicken sausage. Besides that nothing.

The staff were amazing, and so friendly. They made as feel so welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the Hotel was well located in town.

The noise levels in the rooms. We could hear neighboring rooms through the walls quite a bit and unfortunately our room was in front of the parking lot. Other than that, we slept like kings as it was just a pit stop for us after a long day of traveling.

Climbing the stairs with a suitcase was a bit awkward. I prefer a ground floor room. The floor was dusty in the bedroom and the bathroom. This was because of the thatched roof. The room was very noisy. Nearby clock chimes were very annoying.

The staying at the hotel was very nice the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The only thing I would advise is that more security measures must be put in place at the parking facility at the back of the hotel.We park there the first night and notice later during the day a bag with some clothes en a pair of tekkies got missing out of our vehicle that night.

Very centrally located. Neat and clean. Not too busy. Quiet enough to feel like you weren’t in the middle of town. Easy to walk or drive to major attractions.

Pool area was disappointing. No cushions for sunbeds. Pool look a bit tired. The breakfast buffet was not hot enough and could cause food poisoning. I only had the scrambled eggs that were on the buffet as eggs couldn’t be cooked to order but they weren’t good. Cold and undercooked.

My stay was excellent, and the rooms were beautiful, clean and the breakfast excellent. The location is stunning, and I will recommend it all who ever visits George or needs accommodation there,

There is nothing bad or negative I can say as I live every moment as stayed there. Stunning place.
