A wonderful place to have a relaxing weekend. Fay was very friendly and helpful. She organised for the generator to be turned on so that we could watch the rugby. The house has everything one needs and the most comfortable beds.
The information on booking.com is somewhat misleading. The 'water hole' is a small trough. The wi-fi was not strong enough as everything we tried to access kept buffering. Fortunately, we took a modem. Just a warning for those who have ethical concerns about hunting, this is not the place to visit as there is a large kudu head in the dining room.

There is nothing more wonderful than arriving at your booked destination only to find that the property EXCEEDS your expectations and that basically sums up our stay at Crown River Safari. Faye, was wonderful in communicating directions and greeted us warmly upon arrival. The huge house has all the creature comforts, making our stay an absolute pleasure. There is a variety of wildlife available and if you are looking for the sound of silence to envelope you and feel a million miles away from civilisation then this one's for you!
It would be useful to have an information pack so that guests know more about the property, what to see, avoid etc.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. You really feel far away from the city and hustle and bustle. Animals are close by and the deck with the braai area just nailed it for me!
It's more rustic farm house than luxury hotel room but it didn't bother us much as all
