I loved everything about the place, location ✔️, cleanliness ✔️, personnel ✔️ they were amazing, the setup ✔️… definitely coming back

I wish management can come up with a plan to install some warning up equipment in the living area to make it more comfortable and enjoyable as it was quite chilly…. Otherwise everything was on point, we had a lovely weekend stay and would love to go back .

We just loved everything. Spacious living room and kitchen area The kitchen utilities was up to standard and still new. The mattresses was comfortable and linen was pure white and soft. Would love to go again and take more family with. Staff very friendly.

The windows needed to be cleaned more. We understand the weather plays a role but if they could only clean the windows on the outside of the living room and the bedroom on arrival it would be great. on top was clean and clear. Maybe on a later stage a queen size bed in the master bedroom?

Beautiful location. It rained during our stay but we still had plenty to do at the resort. Swimming, jacuzzi, played lots of pool. I would definitely go back when it's not raining to experience it more. Chalets even have netflix so when the weather got really bad, we all got together to watch movies.

It rained into the bedrooms through small openings by the doors. Staff tried their best to assist but there wasn't much they could do in the rain.

For what we could see because we came late and left early it looked just fine 🙂

What I didn't appreciate was that we tried to move our booking to the next day reason we didn't take in account the distance between Durban and Port alfred. We received a message that it wouldn't be possible after explaining our situation. We had to navigate dangerous road conditions and do dangerous speeds we where almost robbed in Transkei...just not to loose our booking...I suppose rules is rules right...

Love how they accommodated and welcomed us, the staff are most friendly. The chalet is absolutely beautiful and clean. We arrived late Saturday evening, Sunday was raining,we unfortunately could not take our son to enjoy the lovely facilities they provide. Our checkout time was 10am on Monday. We called to ask if it was possible to checkout later as the weather was not permitted for us to enjoy the pool and games offered. They came back to us with a smile and said we could check out at 1pm. Not forgetting the scenery and waking up to the sound of the ocean. I love love loved this accommodation! Kowie you will definitely be seen my family and I very soon. Highly recommended!

Only thing I would suggest is making a cover for the braai area, we had to braai in the rain so maybe to make an undercover braai area with a chimney to accommodate winter times.

We loved the lay out, 3 bedrooms for the famiy. Comfy beds, lovely sofa watching tv. Quite impressed with the sturdy,wooden furniture. Overall a beautiful place.

The only let down was the whole lot of stairs leading up to our "house" . Especially when we left the next morning, as it was raining heavily. Had to tread carefully.

The lady Pumla , helped me very kindly and was exceptional at briefing us on the area and the Chalets. The view from our balcony was beautiful The facilities were clean and well maintained. Our chalet was spotless and everything is provided , including house help

The accommodation, view, security, cleanness of the premises and the staff was very friendly.

Having to pay in order to access the gaming.

The self catering chalets are in a beautiful location. Each room of ours had a view of the sea. They are well kept. The resort is kind enough to give you a supply of drinking water. We needed laundry done and they even organized someone to do it for us at a small fee. The security guard at night is thorough. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The kowie River chalets is really good value for money, perfect location with very scenic views of the sea from all the rooms!! The chalets is equiped with everything you need for a self catering unit.

There was no refill of the dishawashing liquid , no refill of bathing soap and shampoo when room cleaning was done. I also found a rotten apple on the drawer next to my bed ( the main bedroom) it would be nice if the windows and slinding doors would be cleaned they were very dirty just disturbs the otherwise beautiful views from the rooms.
