Villa Simonne was so interesting! It had so many collectibles used to inspire the quirky exotic decor that we wished we could stay longer than one night. It is a real treasure. The staff was exceptional! One of travel partners needed to pick up a prescription and a staff member drive his wife there! They. Also arranged for a doctor to come to the Villa to see him. That is above and beyond!

we were in a deluxe room but only got a double bed. It made for an awkward night. We had expected a king bed with a garden view room. Our view was of the parking lot. We ordered room service and it came quick but they forgot to bring the dessert (which wasn't very good.)

Rooms are big and spacious, staff if friendly, accommodating and patient, breakfast was delicious. the hotel provided a cot for my toddler and it was very comfortable.

The heater is the apartment living room was not working so the room was too cold and we were uncomfortable. The kitchen does not have any plates and no cutlery so when we ordered pizza we had to eat on serviettes. the couch in the living room was caving in the middle and was uncomfortable to sit? The ceramic table top can be very dangerous to lean on especially for kids as it is not glued to the table. The place and furniture has seen better days, the wear and tear is clearly visible. The wifi connection is weak.

The staff was amazing. I had an injury the day we checked in and they were so accommodating..the room we were given transported us into another place. Too bad it was only for a night. Would have loved to stay longer.

The wifi situation was rather during loadshedding bothersome as I had work to do. Would recommend they look into getting an inverter strong enough to withstand loadshedding or something similar. When the loadshedding returned the wifi was still evidently unstable. Had to use the router I'd come with.

Villa Simone was so unexpected! The property is so beautiful and elegant. You cannot believe that you are in Johannesburg. It seems as if you've been transported to another world. The staff are exceptional and go beyond to make you feel special. Gift (the resident bartender) is very talented and makes original cocktails inspired by the themed rooms situated within the hotel. The Hollywood cocktail is delicious!!! The chef goes out of his way to cook dishes on request. Hazel is just amazing. She organizes everything to the letter and gives an extra touch of class to the entire stay. Thank you Villa Simone!

The security is on point. You cannot access the building unless you are a guest or something. The staffs are very polite and always happy to help. The room was big and very clean. Breakfast was good with varieties

There was no " Do not disturb" sign so the cleaners won't disturb. I forgot to mention this so I put it in here. It is not a big deal otherwise

We had the "Hollywood" chalet in the garden. It was spacious and well equipped. Might need a little bit of a renovation, but we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was good, nothing to complain about. The hotel is in a nice and safe area of Johannesburg, parking was safe inside the complex. The garden is spacious and a nice spot to relax in summer times. The manager was very welcoming and open minded. We can recommend this hotel and would come back, when going to Johannesburg again.

No complaints, the management is working on some alterations, which will make the place even more beautiful!

Loved the location. Was very surprised by how amazing the place is. definitely a hidden Gem. My wife's favorite part was the grand club, all the vintage décor. Different themes throughout the Hotel. The entrance gives you a proper hotel feeling. The overall feeling was very luxurious, vintage. a Very unique experience. Loved the breakfast. The pool and sauna was amazing, felt like we were in Greece. Our room was spacious, and beautiful. great room service. Excellent service overall. awesome place, great Management and staff, Gift was looking well after us.

Maybe next time get the Jacuzzi going before guests arrive, although I must say the handyman was quick and efficient, helped us to get it going very quick. He also assisted us with the sauna. We only wished there were a party in the club haha.

Truly different, unique, with the room having surprising little areas making it more of a suite. Dinner was surprisingly fantastic. Limited menu, but the 3 dishes we tried were exceptional, especially the baby kingklip which was worth every Rand of the R190 price, and happy to serve us by the pool. Staff were great. Apparently full, yet very discrete, and we always felt we had our own space.

Fancy shower with over 9 spouts, but we couldn't get it warm at all. A little dated, but that's what you need to expect from an old estate converted into a hotel.

I think I can give 100% rating on their hospitality . Extremely kind and accommodative . We had a 2 day stay . Initially when we got in the room , the DSTV was not working , we called the reception and they send the maintenance personnel and He fixed it in no time . I had requested for an early breakfast . And they brought it on time . Very time punctual . I must say , they are very professional with their work .

Beautiful room and facilities Kosher breakfast was arranged Very accommodating to our requests - we asked for a table and two chairs to be brought to our room and they had no problem.

Electricity tripped in our room meaning we couldn't charge our phones. I booked a room with a spa bath but the jacuzzi function wasn't working when we arrived The phone to contact reception wasn't working so needed to walk down to speak to them
