The location is excellent and comfortable in central Stellenbosch, walking distance from all the attractions. The room was by far better than what I expected for what the price was, the amenities was truly first class, but within budget.

The layout of the hotel was somewhat confusing and one did get lost a few times, but there is nothing that the hotel can do about that, also has rather high steps that older people might struggle with. There is also not really any convenient parking for Ubers and cars that drop you off outside the hotel, thus one did walk through town with a suitcase.

Fabulous location right in the center of Stellenbosch. Just a few meters away from a variety of restaurants and interesting shops. We had a very well appointed two bedroom flat, which was very suitable for our needs. Service throughout the hotel was excellent from the reception staff to the housekeeping and to the parking assistants.

Being in the center of town, it was a little noisy at times in the evening, but the benefits of the location far outweighed the negative.

We have stayed at The Stellenbosch for maybe the last ten years, excellent central location and very friendly staff.

Nothing other than because they now seem so busy, we couldn’t have our usual individual rooms and so booked a two room apartment. It was ok but no air con in the bedrooms, so with temperatures in the 30’s, uncomfortable at night.

Staff is very helpful and friendly, the hotel is walking distance from restaurants and shops in a beautiful area. Breakfast was excellent. Although limited, there is secure parking.

The lack of an elevator to the top floor (the elevator only reaches up to floor 2) might be a problem for some visitors. The decor might be a bit dated. No backup generator.

The location of the hotel was excellent, we were able to walk and explore Stellenbosch by foot and walk to all the restaurants. We were able to Uber to the wine farms. The Reception team were helpful and friendly

I love the history of the hotel and the historic feel however I feel that the rooms could do with a refresh / revamp and still keep the history of the hotel.

Location excellent, right in the centre of town and walking distance to the university. 10% discount on you meal at the Stellenbosch Kitchen. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Better back up for load shedding. Parking is very limited, however they try their best to accommodate you. The reception area was very close to our room and the staff was quite noisy at some point. The interleading door to reception should have been closed which was done later on.

Location excellent. Situated in a lovely part of town. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Special thank you to Lionel, who was always so welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Next time I would like a room a bit further away from the courtyard. Was a bit noisy early in the morning, with guests coming and going.

Well run place and great for a couple of nights. Staff were very friendly and accommodated our early check in and organised our airport transfer. We enjoyed the well appointed 2 bedroom apartment for our family of 4 including a complete kitchen and laundry. It is in a central and secure part of the town and also has a very good restaurant for dinners on site

One of the bathrooms was too small and little water pressure, queen bed in main bedroom was a bit small, limited buffet breakfast

The room was charming but a little cramped. Location could not be beat for my all day event at the University and dining. I was glad for breakfast to be included. Facilities were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The way the door bumper was placed in the bathroom was awkward. Room was as I said a little cramped. Breakfast was adequate but uninspiring.

This is a really well placed hotel, right in the centre of Stellenbosch. Our room was small, but comfortable. Larger rooms are available. Breakfast was good. Despite being in the middle of town, the room was not noisy. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Our room was rather cramped with too much furniture. A rail and open shelves would have given the feel of a bit more space.
