Hotel Kukdo

The hotel location is superb. It is so handy to the subway with the elevator entry and exit. That would help if you have to catch the train to the airport with a large luggage. Otherwise you can catch the limousine airport bus where they drop you off and pick up right at the hotel entrance. Bus stop and the Eulji Plaza are just next door with a lot variety of the food choices. Room size are spacious. It is nice and clean. If you want a good place to rest and a good location to explore with all the public transport at your doorstep then this place will suit you best.

The hotel staffs could be more friendly and more cooperative. It seems like they are not willing to help as you asked for the information. Their English communication is not great, they need to improve. The other downside point is the hotel didn't have the self laundry for guess to use if they stayed for a longer period . Also the microwave in the room would be great as well.

If you’re looking for something quiet but still within walking distance from Myeongdong and Gwangjang Market, this hotel is it. It’s also less than a minute walk from two subway exits, with public bus stops right in front, as well as the Airport Limousine Bus 6015. Nearby attractions include Daelim Plaza and Cheonggyecheon. The bed is comfortable, the hot water comes on immediately, the hotel smells nice, there’s a pharmacy and convenience store downstairs. My room had a beautiful view of the mountain. In fact, I miss my room already.

I was carrying 3 luggage and 2 backppack and I requested someone to assist me to bring out during check out, the receptionist declined..... pretty disappointing :-(

Location is very good, only two bus stops to Myeongdong. Underground is close-by. Area is very safe, even around mid night. The reception is on level 1 via escalator. The lifts run from Level 0, Level 1 and room levels. We always come from our floor straight to Level 0, so don't see hotel staff everyday. But if you need them, they are always on Level 1 and are very friendly. The hotel is one of the airport shuttle stops (every 15 mins). However we have many luggages and the staff booked a taxi for us which is quick and easy.

Bathroom and bedroom is divided by thin curtain, So light is visiable from the bed which may distract your child's sleep. While we were in Gangnam, the hotels and shops all have the water refilling points, but it is quite hard to find to north of the river. It will be very helpful if the hotel can provide a water refilling station rather than using the bottle water everyday.

Despite of all the pleasant experiences at Hotel Kukdo, I had a not so pleasant episode. My wife and I took this trip to visit my daughter, who has been studying Korean Language in Seoul for 6 months. My daughter accompanied us to check in Hotel Kukdo. At that time, the hotel lady asked us how many of us are going to stay in the room. It was a fair question because the room was for 2 persons. We explained to her that our daughter is staying in her own place nearby as she is a student there. The lady just rolled her eyes, showing us a "I don't believe it" face.

It was my second time staying at Hotel Kukdo and I really appreciate that the rooms are cleaned every single day. You always get fresh towels and free water bottles. The beds are comfortable and big. Overall, the whole room is bigger than in a lot of other hotels in Seoul. The subway is right next to the hotel so it's super easy to get wherever you want in Seoul. Furthermore, there is a convenience store located on the first floor of the hotel which is perfect. I would always come back here.

The bathroom could use a renovation to make it look nicer. Right now, the bedroom itself looks a lot nicer and more modern than the bathroom.

Hotel was far enough away from the busier parts of Seoul but offered plenty to see within walking distance and only a few metro stops away for the the night markets , walking street and down town Seoul. The 6015 airport bus stops right outside the door which makes life easy but make sure you get a T card at the airport . The hotel staff couldn't be more helpful . and it wasn't a problem to asked for a second room key or to leave our luggage at reception after check out as our flight didn't leave till 01,30 the next day. Our room was on the 19th floor had a large window offered views of the city , bar fridge and daily room service. Bed was large and comfortable. The room safe was one of the easier ones Ive used compared to some hotel safes Ive used.

The bath room was very small as was the bath , so much so the hand basin was outside in the main part of the room . Only two coffee packets , no tea or sugar .

The sink and the bath was separated, so we could use the shower and the sink at the same time. Good floor plan😄 The young hotelier helped us to get on the airport limousine. He came out and talked with the bus driver so we can get on the next bus. Thank you so much. It was the best experience at the hotel.

The shower holder was wobbly, should be fixed. If the slippers were disposable, I felt more cleanliness. Forgot to replace the toilet rolls, and at at my friends room, forgot to replace the towels…🙁the phone was out of service? Couldn’t reach the housekeeping nor the reception.
