The room have a great view of the Gyeongbokgung Palace and its surrounding. There is a billiards table and children playing room on the second floor of this service apartment. The counter staff are very courteous and provide very fast and efficient services. This service apartment is located near the Insadong and Gyeongbokgung Palace area.

There is no room cleaning service and change of towels on every Sunday and there is no Air Con in the room during the spring season. The food choices available for breakfast served in this facility are limited day by day. You might get bored with the food choices when you have breakfast for five consecutive days or more.

We really liked the location of the hotel, near several palaces and areas that we wanted to see. We enjoyed the spaciousness of our room and that it had separate bedrooms, a kitchen, and a washing machine to do laundry. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, especially the staff running the breakfast area. The room was also very clean.

The hotel is a bit dated which wasn't a problem for us, however, there was a large spot on the carpet in the main bedroom and the wooden floor in the living room area was very scratched up. There were also some spots from water damage on the ceiling and some loose texture/ bubbling.

The location is great, walkable distance from Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung palace, and Changdeok palace. Lots of local bars and restaurants around to enjoy as well. Short walk to the nearest subway station. Hotel has a convenience store 24 hours which is great. The complimentary breakfast is also great. There is also a washer in the rooms which is very useful if you decide to pack light. Mattress is also nicely firm, great for people with back problems like myself. The room has a little induction stove, microwave, pots, pans, and dining utensils.

The furniture is a bit out dated but comfortable still.

Great location and spacious, clean accomodations. I only briefly heard neighboring guests. Parking was easy and early parking was accomodated. Reception desk was friendly. Breakfast staff was attentive and coffee was good. Enjoyed the pool table and fitness room.

Not much of a view despite being on a high floor. The room was at 26 degrees Celsius when we arrived and remained at 23 Celsius at bed time; I didn't see an a/c remote. Noise from the wind was loud in the room. Mattress for the single bed was too firm. Temperature in the breakfast restaurant was also too warm.

Staff were absolutely lovely and had great English support. The hotel was super clean and nearby key areas for tourists. The breakfast food was good and we got our two week stay at an affordable price. The rooftop garden is beautiful and overall it had great facilities such as a gym, areas to socialise in, breakfast, restaurants, convenience stores etc. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had amazing water pressure. The room had both underfloor heating and air con so you could be comfortable during your stay.

Unfortunately, housekeeping accidentally threw away/took a gift I had prepared for a friend from my home country (two new books and some soap). After a long discussion over checking CCTV and trying to figure out what happened, the housekeeping staff reimbursed the cost of my gift. Overall, I was satisfied with the outcome. However, they shouldn't have thrown items away that they weren't sure of. The wine glass smashed very very easily. I only tapped it very lightly when washing up, which we had to pay for on checkout

I chose the hotel for two reasons; I hoped to have a view of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and it had laundry facilities in the room. The view was not as good as I would have liked, I f I looked off to the side I could see a little of the palace. The room was spacious and comfortable, almost like a one room apartment. I read comments that the hotel décor was dated; I was not bothered by it. The location was a little away from the happening areas of Seoul, and therefore not as many eating venues. I think it was the embassies area.

I can't fault the hotel, but the area was a little lackluster for a tourist. I liked my room, but I enjoyed the area around Insadong more.

I loved the Somerset Hotel, which was very clean and efficiently run with an excellent breakfast buffet, smartly appointment rooms, and warm, friendly atmosphere. The suite was large and comfortable; the gym and sauna were great, and the location couldn't be better for a first-time traveler to Seoul, as it's right by the main palace, museums, and great neighborhoods. Every interaction was thoughtful and kind.

Nothing. It was fantastic! I'm really happy I stayed there.

Breakfasts were delicious with reasonable variety including Western and Asian options, exceptional coffee (Jura espresso machines). Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Fitness center was well-equipped with aerobic and weight machines and barbells. The kids enjoyed learning the basics of playing pool on the table near the lounge. The rooms were reasonably sized with a kitchenette and laundry machine. The location is very convenient near many attractions and also the subway near major junctions.

Minor criticisms: The rooftop pool was a little small and shallow, the kitchen cabinetry was a bit chipped in places, the provided knives were somewhat dull, and the bathroom fans were rather weak.

The location was excellent for a tourist, with a lot of sightseeing and good eateries within walking distance. We also enjoyed the variety at the breakfast buffet, especially the Korean food choices. Finally, the hotel personnel were friendly and welcoming, the best we experienced after staying in four different hotels in Korea.

The rooms, while clean, comfortable and quite spacious, were dated and there were repairs and stained re-caulkings in the bathroom. Time to renovate the rooms. Also, as is typical in the Korean hotels we have experienced, the towels were skimpy and few in number.

Check-in was very smooth and it took less than 3 minutes. The same goes for the check-out process. The room was well-maintained, clean and spacious. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful.

There isn't a single thing that I didn't like. Everything was perfect just like how i expected it to be
