The staff was super sweet. Immediately after booking, they contacted me to double check that I knew there was no elevator. And they also offered to help carry the suitcase up when I checked in, which wasn’t necessary, but shows how incredibly kind they are. I felt very safe and comfortable in the hotel, and the bed was absolutely amazing. The bathroom is nice and spacious, and the water pressure in the shower was really nice. Location is great, it’s roughly a 5 minute walk to the Hoehyeon metro station, and a 10 minute walk to Myeongdong’s Shopping Street. There are also ammenities nearby, like a supermarket practically in front of the building, cafés and restaurants in the same street, and several convenience stores within a 2 minute walk. I also really liked the interior of the hotel and the stylistic design choices.

Not a dislike, but a tip for anyone looking to book: as mentioned in the description, it’s close to Namsan, so you do have to walk up a little bit. It’s not a bad incline, but if you have one or two suitcases, or lots of bags, with you, it might take a bit longer to get there. Best advice if you have a suitcase with 4 wheels (learn from my mistake): it’s much easier to drag it behind you on 2 wheels, than try to push it in front or next to you on 4 wheels, because the street is a little uneven, and it’s best to make your life easier when you’re on holiday (:

Rated as 3-star, this is a great place to stay. Location is fantastic, staff are lovely, and it is great value for money. 20 places to eat within 3 min walk, supermarket across the road, 5 mins to Namdaemun markets, 1 station away from Seoul Station, and easy to get to many must see places in Seoul. The building is very well insulated, so the temperature inside is pleasant, and there is very little noise even if the window is open. So you can have fresh air in your room. The room and stairwells have lovely Korean decor.

We knew in advance that there is no elevator, the Hotel advises you when you book. Two flights up to the top floor, but this was good exercise, and they helped with the bags. If you read a bad review on cleanliness and/or staff (similar timeframe to me), ignore it. The problem was NOT the hotel and it's staff.

10 minutes walking to Seoul Station, 7 minutes to Myeongdong, 5 to Hoehyeon station. Cable car to TV tower is 5 minutes away, Namdaemun Market is 7 minutes. Bus station with many lines is 3 minutes away. TONS of great Korean and international food all around, late night supermarket just in front of the hotel. In short, perfect location. Staff are SUPER friendly, we made friends with one of the staff. Clean, heated floors and bed heater. Free bottled water, toiler paper and towels available on each floor any time. Great value for money, was one of the cheapest options available at the time of our booking. We had an amazing experience.

Shower stream could be better.

The location is great. The hotel is a little hidden from the main road, but I enjoyed my stay overall. The room was fairly spacious for just one person, and the bathroom was big. The staff were helpful and carried my bag up to my room for me upon check-in. The 12pm checkout time is also very handy. Overall, nice stay here!

I didn't like that there were no elevator, only stairs, just because I had a big bag, but that was about it.

+ great location, with lots of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance + clean and spacious room for 2 people + good Wi-Fi + very lovely staff who helped us with our luggage up the stairs! (see negative point) + fridge available in room with cold water available

- only negative for me was there was no lift (but this could also be me not reading the description properly before booking! :P) there are even a set of stairs outside the property that you’d need to go up. when we arrived with our massive suitcases, the staff were also a little shocked! XD however, like I said, they were vey helpful with getting our heavy suitcase up the many flights of stairs! this was fine for us as it was only a short stay, but would not be suitable to those with mobility issues

location!, ~5mins to Hoehyeon station and near the airport bus stop too. room is larger than expected from the photos, clean and comfy with hot water available. staff are really friendly and helpful despite the language barrier (google translate works great though). love that the hotel provides free water bottles are appreciated

wifi can be somewhat intermittent in the late evenings, but otherwise fast. no lift as other reviews said, not an issue for me - stairs were wide/sturdy and didn’t feel they were uneven.

We loved staying here, the staff were so friendly and the location was great! It was close to the metro and walking distance to lots of popular areas (Myeong Dong, Namdaemun, Namsan etc) but was in a nice quiet area. Although basic, the hotel had all the creature comforts anyone could want - fridge, water, kettle, tea, telly, AC. we stayed for over a week and were sad to leave!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Staff are nice and helpful. Rooms were quiet. The location is excellent. There are metro trains close by. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants close to the hotel.

There is no laundry service in the hotel, the coin laundry next door requires you to bring your own washing liquid and have nine 500 won coins - not convenient.

Great location, friendly staff, spacious room and bathroom, everything you need is in the room, shops, markets and local restaurants nearby. In walking distance to some main attractions, 3 minutes to subway station, 10 minets to airport bus stop

3 floors no elevator, so don't pack too heavy And no closet in the room, but plenty of hangers and you can get extra

The hotel is nice and clean and cozy. The receptionist who was on shift on the night of 12/16-12/17 is the best, thank you for so kindly offering a heater and advising where to eat. You are a very good and friendly person.

It was a little difficult for me to find the hotel itself, but in principle, a large illuminated sign with the name of the hotel will not let you get lost
