Almohalla 51 provided us with the perfect base while completing our purchase of a house nearby. What is exceptional about the property are Jo and Ken the proprietors who went above and beyond to help us out. I will always remember their kindness and attention. Our twin room provided us with all the comfort we needed. There is no aircon but the room was cool and a large fan was provided. Breakfast was served in a quaint courtyard with fresh fruit juice, coffee, traditional ham/cheese and eggs with wonderfully fresh bread. The yoghurt with homemade granola and fresh fruit was divine. The honesty bar allowed for residents to access beers and wine. Tea/coffee and cake free of charge. Although we were too busy to enjoy it the property has a small pool area ideal for relaxing and sipping wine. Pool towels are provided. There is also a small music room where traditional Spanish cords play as you sit and read or snooze! There is provision for you to unload cases/luggage etc directly outside the property with parking on the road around the back of the property. The property is located in the small quiet town of Archidona.

Our stay was fantastic- The property, hosts, food and also the other guests. Everything was amazing about our stay. Old style Spanish building. Exceptionally clean , beautiful and comfortable. Jo and Ken are amazing hosts and pulled out all the stops to make our stay comfortable. They arranged all our transfers and offered advice for places to see and visit. Dear Traveller, If your route lead through Archidona and you decide to take a break of your journey to rest and recuperate, you should stop at Almohalla 51. It's a charming, very well organized and functional place with beautiful nooks and crannies. You will find here the convenience and comfort of good boutique hotels and wonderful, caring hosts who do a great job and create a unique atmosphere. We recommend it because it's really worth it. Beautiful house in Archidona. On street parking just outside. A few local eateries within walking distance. Perfectly located for day trips to Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Ronda and antequera. Made special by such charming, welcoming hosts. Excellent breakfast on offer including local specialities. Surrounding countryside is breathtaking and looks fab for outdoor activities. Tea and coffee freely available. Dinner in the hotel can be prebooked. Super value for what is offered.

Jo and Ken are the most amazing hosts anyone could wish for, they made our stay at their hotel perfect.The hotel is beautifully designed, it's very private and perfect for trips to El Torcal, Camanito del Rey etc. Archidona is a little sweet, not touristic town. The hotel has everything: a very nice pool and relax area, Jo's cooking is amazing, the rooms are just perfect.

This hotel and the wonderful owners is a gem and my husband and I fell in love with the place. Nothing was too much trouble. Great recommendations for things to do and places to visit. Great food.

This is a gorgeous little gem of a hotel tucked away in the hillside town of Archedona. Run by English couple Jo and Ken, the place could not be any more loveable. Our room was huge, with lots of traditional features. The swimming pool area has great views over the rooftops of the nearby houses and there are so many areas to chill out in the courtyard, music room and on the rooftop. The service is really warm and friendly, and every morning (over a fabulous home-cooked breakfast) Jo and Ken are full of recommendations for your day. Overall we loved this place and would highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area.

Ken and Jo were so welcoming and attentive, their passion for Spain and the local area shone through. all good and drinks were delicious and tips for how to enjoy the area. the hotel feels very local and quirky and the rooftop pool terrace has lovely views. archidona is a beautiful small town, local dog fair was also hilarious
