Luxurious B&B in stunning setting. Electric gate entrance to free parking. Very tastefully decorated with a wonderful drinks/breakfast terrace overlooking the beautiful pool area with views over the countryside to the distant hills. There is a bar from which to buy a chilled beer, G&T or whatever your fancy with which to enjoy the view. I had the 3-course set-menu dinner for 34€ which needs to be ordered by 1300 hrs same day - I assume it changes daily but on this occasion it was beef carpaccio, salmon en papillote, warm chocolate brownie with ice cream. The house white a reasonable13€ a bottle. Breakfast was a buffet with eggs to order - all the food I had was very good quality and well prepared. It's an ideal place to enjoy a couple of indulgent nights - maybe exploring Antequera and the Torcal nature reserve with lazy afternoons by the lovely pool (which is open all year but at the beginning of October was too chilly for me to swim - still nice to look at though). I feel I will be making it a regular indulgent escape.

My annex room smelt strongly of drains which, judging by the mitigating measures in evidence, is obviously known about. Opening the windows cleared the smell but as there are no insect nets on the windows, I did not want to leave them open. There is no fridge in the room which is difficult if you are travelling with medication that needs to be kept cool. The biggest issue for me, although on my own it wasn't a problem, was no door between the bathroom and bedroom which makes for less than romantic intimacy if travelling with a partner.

Where to begin; from start to finish, we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and went the extra mile to make our holiday a great one. While out of the way, the views are worth the drive on the windy mountain roads, and any driving stress was immediately evaporated by a beer by the pool. We will be back!

The WiFi didn't quite stretch to our room, which may be tricky if people want to work, but it is strong by the pool house and restaurant and we rather enjoyed being more disconnected from the outside world. Really made it feel like a holiday.

The whole experience was excellent. From the silent, quiet location surrounded by the green hills to the amazing food cooked by the owner herself (make sure to enjoy at least 1 dinner there. It may look a little pricey but absolutely worthy). The rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable. The staff kind, professional and available. Perfect place also for those remote workers / digital nomads that appreciate a few days of focused work in the middle of nature. Clearly a perfect romantic getaway!

Beautiful location and amazing views. A lovely escape from the busy world. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Super friendly hosts who made us feel at home and very welcome. We had a wonderful experience staying at La Posada del Torcal for 2 nights and enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal one evening cooked especially to cater for our dietary requirements. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location with stunning views. Secure parking is always a bonus. We had a lovely garden room. The outside furniture was welcome. It needs a little refresh but the sun is punishing. The pool area and pool are fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. Nice to have a refreshing drink whilst relaxing on one of the plentiful loungers. Dinner was amazing. Three courses. There isn’t a choice but what we had was great. Breakfast was lovely too. A nice selection and freshly cooked eggs and bacon. Great way to start the day with amazing views.

There was a slight drain smell in the bedroom./bathroom on arrival. It didn’t spoil our stay but we notice it in our guest bathroom at home when the shower hasn’t been used for a while.

Calm and relaxing. Jürgen and Vi are excellent hosts; a very good team! The pool is amazing big and clean, the honesty bar next to the pool is well equipped. The breakfast is also very good and with all fresh products! Also the dinner which they prepare in their very nice restaurant. The location is far from big cities: the perfect place to find your inner peace!! We will come back;)

Excellent place! First i'd like to mention the attention to guests given by the property owners Jurgen and Veerle. (Jurgen I know you won't be mad, but i'd like to thank Veerle once more for waiting for us to arrive at such late hours). La Posada del Torcal is a place that's the definition of tranquility, the setting is breathtaking. I only regret staying for such a short time but I'd definitely visit again as soon as possible and bring one of my classic cars to show Jurgen. Cheers!

La Posada del Torcal is an exceptional boutique hotel. It really is perfect in all respects. Situated high on a hill overlooking beautiful countryside and dominated by the imposing and impressive El Torcal mountain, everything oozes quality from the moment you arrive. Our superior room (with balcony) was extremely spacious and comfortable complete with tea and coffee making facilities and a good bathroom. We chose not to take dinner (a choice we regretted), but the breakfast was excellent taken as it was in the dining room or terrace with views to die for. Parking is secure behind locked gates and the swimming pool is superb. The owners were attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this wonderful property. The rooms, pool, food and views are dreamy. Vee is a trained cook, serving up two delightful 3 course meals during our stay, with a wonderful selection of Spanish wines to go with. The breakfast was also delicious. El Torcal nsture reserve is fascinating, the views are sublime, and the Baroque architecture in Antequera is beautiful. Mostly we enjoyed sitting by the pool and watching the swallows play - this really is quite a special place, I wholeheartedly recommend.

Beautiful setting, room was huge with plenty of storage and a lovely private terrace. We were offered the set menu for the evening and honestly the food was incredible! It’s a gorgeous mini boutique hotel with everything you need.

Would’ve been good if jacuzzi was working, however the weather was quite poor so this is understandable.
