The hotel is located right in the old town, in walking distance from all sights of beautiful Astorga 🤩. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. Super friendly and professional staff. Very good breakfast (except for the dry scrambled eggs but that’s ok) and VERY IMPORTANT for lactose intolerant travelers: oat and other vegan milks, not easy to find in Spain 🙏🏻 Fabulous views over the valley from the terrace

They have a huge free (!) parking below the hotel which can only be reached by stairs. It’s quiet steep so not suited for older/unfit people or if you carry heavy suitcases. Better leave those by the hotel reception, drive the car to the parking and walk up the stairs by yourself Other than that: nothing to complain. Would come again 😊

Lovely modern room (310), clean with very comfortable bed. Location was in centre of town with large hotel parking at rear - reception will advise how to get to the car park - my best advice would be to off load luggage at reception door as there are two full flights of stairs up from carpark level, no lift from carpark to hotel level.

Sadly no facility for evening meals - however they have a sister hotel in the town square and there are bars/restaurants in very easy walking distance from hotel - please don't let this put you off this hotel.

We loved this hotel, best of our trip. The lady who greeted us when we arrived couldn't do enough for us. Putting the car out front to load/unload bags worked much better than I expected. Very steep steps from the car park to the hotel - but if you turn left out of the car park gates there are some gentler steps. Amazing building and a huge room. Be delighted to go back.

The location is excellent in a beautiful small city. The outside is impressive and there is a large cafe area to relax and/or dine.

I was so excited to see our room in this impressive looking building. The room was spacious and comfortable but needed maintenance. One of our windows had a large crack in it. One bedside light was out and one overhead light did not turn off. We had to take the room key out of the main slot near the door to get the room dark. And, the shower drain was clogged so it quickly overflowed onto the bathroom floor.

In a bathroom where you could play football they fitted one of the tiniest showers I have seen in an upmarket hotel. Badly designed. I also noted some stains on the sheets. The sheets were washed and clean but a 4 star hotel should reject stained sheets.

Very spacious room and bathroom. The extra lounge area was also great. Views were fabulous and location perfect for visiting local attractions.

Some of the toiletries supplies were on the low side, which made them difficult to use. The shower was tiny, and it could have been more roomy, given the bathroom was huge.

Best place we’ve stayed on the Camino by far. Lovely spacious room with comfortable big beds, and bathroom with both shower and bath tub. Also the Camino literally passes by the hotel, so perfect location in beautiful Astorga. Andrea in the reception was incredibly helpful with all our inquiries, thank you!

No kettle! Also the swimming pool had to be paid for which was a disappointment as its shown as a facility with no mention of an extra fee. And the fee was not small.

Location, room, breakfast, spa, they offered a complimentary spa which we appreciated a lot.

No complimentary water in the room, hair dryer didn’t work and we asked for it twice and was never replaced.we also wanted to have some massage but we were unable to as the person was not available and there was not replacement. We felt there was a shortage of staff.

I was greeted at the front desk by a lovely gentleman with superb English. He got me checked into my luxurious room quickly. I would have loved to have taken advantage of the spa, but they were booked for massage appointments and I didn’t bring my swimsuit. The bathroom was beautiful and huge!! I soaked in the tub for an hour to soothe my aching feet. It was a nice treat. The bed was so comfortable, the blackout shades were amazing and this was the hands down best night sleep I’ve got so far on the Camino. I slept so well that I decided to sleep in a bit and explore the city more before I started walking again.
