Everything was Perfect. value for money. the room is quite big as it looks in pics. the washroom is very clean. the staff is always there to help. Also, breakfast is good enough to start the day. the property is easily reachable by public transport. the touristic spots are also within walkable distance.

Just a little little little noise from the street but that is normal I guess.

The room was quite clean, hotel has 24/7 reception, and vending machines are available for cold and hot drinks and snacks. The receptionists were very friendly and one of those - who had a couple night shifts during my stay - was super cute, but that is just my own opinion.

Unfortunately one of the staff was very unfriendly as my friend and I lingered about 20 minutes after check-out - in my case a new check-in for a smaller room was coming up - but it was definitely not a big deal. I would have appreciated a little fridge in the room where to store drinks and food, but everything else was pretty much alright.

The accommodation is close to the Paral-lel metro station (at the end of the street), which provides easy access to about all of Barcelona's attractions. The D20 bus also leaves from the same location, which takes you to the beach. There is reception 24 hours a day, the staff are very friendly and speak English. There is also an elevator in the building. Overall, value for money, a very good choice.

Even though they cleaned our room and made the bed every day, they could have been more thorough, we experienced this more than once. There were no other problems.

Cracking little hostel! We used it for an older school group and it was absolutely ideal. The rooms are really clean and neat and were cleaned each day. All rooms had ensuite, so the kids were contained. The single rooms were small, but perfectly adequate. There was little/no light in one room as the window opened onto the shaft/fire escape, but as were were out all day, this didn't matter in any way. The air conditioning was a wonder and we slept very well indeed. A really great buffet breakfast was also available for 6 euros, so a great little find! The hostel is also in a great area, with bars, restaurants and cafés running along the street and a great little supermarket just underneath it, which was open until midnight for late night drinks, snacks and other provisions!

The only think I was dubious about is that the windows opened completely and there was a long drop as we were on the 4th floor. The kids we took were older (all Year 12 or 13), but it would have worried me much more with younger children.

The room was small, but I liked it very much. The layout was amazing and within the smaller space was all I needed. And the bathroom was small but clean as well! Shower was simple, but much more functional than some others I have seen in different hotels. And the location was amazing - very close to a metro station and still in centre.

It would have been nice to see some labels with food allergens for the breakfast (and in Barcelona in general). But the milk was there also in plant and lactose free variety. My room did not have natural sunlight, but the lights were there and were sufficient (I am just used to waking up to the sunlight).

Location (lot of bars in the street, always full of people and very "live" area),, service desk availability (24/7), metro station is nearby...

Could be a bit more cleaner, we were there in a period when they had some adaptation on the same floor, so it was not clean in the hallway and workers started with their work in the morning always, so late sleeping wasn't an option.

Lovely to get a single room with ensuite, for a change and know that I got what I paid for, with no supplement! Good location for travel all around the city using bus, metro or walking, as apart from climbing Montjunc, it is all flat anyway. I took full use of the microwave and facilities of the kitchen, as well as spending time in the heated communal lounge at the end of the day.

Ensuite was small, but then I'm not a large person, so alright for me. Noise a factor from others returning late at night but then that depends on guests not hostal.

Very nice staff, very nice room with private bathroom. All was clean and tidy, daily cleaning. The street was quiet but lively, amazing location to the metro and like 15 minutes away from La Rambla and from the beach as well, 3 minutes to the metro station. One minute walk from hostal you can find a street full of bars, restaurants with great tapas and sangria (best street for food and drink we could find and on your doorstep). Also it was true about the shower water pressure, we loved it! Seriously very good deal

The host was very polite. Even that we stayed only for one night we felt so welcomed. The room was very very clean and cosy. Matres was very comfy pritty quiet location extremly close to most good restaurant's and to the old town center. Almost everything is on 10-15 min walk. Our room was on the back and we had a little private garden after 20:00 before that is opened for all guets. Its very good place to relax and read a book in the day and a good place to dring a glass of wine in the night. The cafereria has inner connection to the building and offers a place to have breakfast.

Much better than anticipated. The room had everything I needed. It was newly refurbished and very clean. Aircon worked perfectly. 5 min walk from the subway, and next to an area of bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I wish I had known better and asked for an interior room: I got the room literally above the hotel entrance. This meant not only noisy customers waking me up through the night as they arrived and chatted loudly at the door, but also any drunk people walking by. And then, then 5 (yes, 5!) rubbish bin trucks collecting RIGHT under my window. Again: this is not so much the hotels fault, but I wish I had known in advance and book a different room.
