Eoin who was on reception the day of my stay in this hostel was an absolute gent. So accommodating with everything I needed during my stay in OneFam Paralelo. Made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived which exceeded my expectations! Jeff who was on duty to make food for guests for free of charge that evening made a beautiful pasta dish that was a big hit with everyone! They have a brilliant structure in place at this hostel to allow all guests staying to mingle and get to know each other, offering a free meal in the evening, a drinking games option before a representative of the hostel will bring the guests out to a bar to mingle with the other OneFam hostels in Barcelona before then offering free entry to the bar/club that has been decided for that night. I would 100% recommend anyone and everyone to stay at this hostel if you want to make new friends and feel like you're at home and accommodated for.

This is one of the best run hostels I have ever stayed in. I booked it fairly randomly as this was a spontaneous trip and wanted a hostel that was going to be sociable and it surpassed my expectations. From the moment I checked in to when I checked out, the staff here do everything they can to make you feel very welcome. Every day they organise free activities; I played beach volleyball for hours, went on walking tours and played many many drinking games at the hostel. Every activity you meet up with guests from all of the other Hostel Ones, so you meet so many more people. They know the city backwards and can recommend other cool things to do, like the Parc Guell (thanks Caroline). The whole setup promotes guests to meet, do stuff during the day and party together, which is fairly unique in the hostel world; most hostels are sociable, but at Paralelo they make huge efforts to make sure everyone is having fun. Can't recommend this place enough, met some amazing people and my four days felt like much longer there was so much going on.
There really isn't much to say here. Perhaps replace one of the plugs in the sleep pods with a USB socket? The only other thing I think they may want to consider is dropping a few of the club nights per week and replacing them with something else - all of the clubs we went to were so packed that it's impossible to keep the group of hostellers together more than an hour, so the sociable aspect gets lost a bit. The free entry and organisation are amazing and the clubs are very fun, but maybe they can do other things that are more sociable: karaoke? live music? segway tours (lol)?

I liked almost everything. Super open atmosphere, activities, diverse people from all over the world. Great option for a fun weekend
1) I would note that the Hostel is more suitable for very young people. 18-25 years old, in my opinion. If you are 30+, you may feel a little out of place with the younger generation and their interests. 2) Someone took my sweater and socks from my drawer. I’m not sorry at all and I have no doubt that this was done by mistake after a stormy night, but you should still lock your locker, even if you trust your roommates. 3) This is not a flaw, but just a comment. This is a Party Hostel (as you will be warned about many times). Therefore, if you want to spend the night and sleep peacefully, you won’t be able to do that here. Just keep this in mind when planning.

Absolutely loved my stay at OneFam hostel! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff, making me feel right at home. The beds were clean and comfortable, and I especially appreciated having a private bunk bed for some extra privacy. The atmosphere in the hostel was incredibly friendly – everyone I met was kind and welcoming. OneFam also organizes events throughout the day, which made it easy to meet new people and explore the city. The club experience they offer is simply amazing, ensuring there's never a dull moment. A special thanks goes to the manager, Eoin, for providing this unforgettable experience. His dedication to ensuring guests have a great time truly sets this hostel apart. Highly recommend OneFam to anyone looking for a fantastic hostel experience!

Before booking I've read in the reviews that this is the best place to stay if you are a solo traveler looking to meet like-minded people. This couldn't be more true, I've met so many amazing people while only being there for 3 nights and 2 full days. I really like the concept of Onefam and it works really well! Since the staff are volunteers who are travelling too, they are personally invested in making the activities fun and also getting to know people. It's an entirely different feeling compared to other hostels where the staff may be helpful and friendly but you can feel that it is just a job for them. All activities are super fun and also informative, and designed in a way to help you meet other travelers. Since all Onefam sister hostels join up for these activities, the pool of people you can meet is just huge! I will definitely look out for Onefam hostels in other cities I plan to visit in the future! I would even book a few nights in my hometown if there was one, just for the vibes! @Abby: Best directions I've ever received. Period. @Sedge: If the hostel really was a family, you would be the cool mom! @Made: Cool rapper indeed
I slept really poorly in the 6-bed dorm, even with a good pair of earplugs. If it is rest and relaxation that you are after, you will probably be better off at a hotel, apartment or a quieter hostel. But the memories and connections I gained more than outweigh the sleep deprivation, hence the 10/10!

A very Social hostel where it's easy to meet people. The staff organises events each day to discover the city and the night life. They are helpful and accommodating. Special thanks to Eoin who helped me with some practical things in his big day. Shout-outs to Nina and Leah from the staff for making the events interesting and fun. If you go out with them, you're in safe hands, they leave no one behind. I liked the dinner gatherings in the evening which is an occasion to socialise, don't miss it.
In terms of value for money you may get a bit less comparing to other hostels I stayed at in BCN. This is due to a smaller social area which may not be suitable for work and also the size of the dorm rooms. It can get a bit crowded. There is also no option for breakfast.

Amazing staff! Everyone was so welcoming, even with the chalkboard welcoming me for my stay. Facilities were super nice, common area being inside and outside made the stay even better, as well as the bunk bed set up, allowing me to sit up completely, not too low. This was a great first hostel experience for anyone. Very sociable people and well organized with events and activities. They set the bar pretty high for other hostels. I’ve already told so many people about Onefam Paralelo Shoutout to everyone who helped me, made me laugh, and made it an amazing stay: Meredith Mara Pascale Made Eoin Elisabeth Lea
N/A I do not have any negative feedback.

My experience in OneFam Paralelo was extremely positive. I wanted to have a central place in Barcelona to hang aroung and visit Beach area. Everything was over there. The neighborhood is very cool and calm and secure. In the same time, it is very easy to access Blai street for nice restaurant, bars, tapas, etc... About the hostel, the place is very friendly. Staff is great. I was warmly welcomed and felt really like a family member during my stay. The space is very social. It is easy to meet other travelers and chat with them. The hostel organizes also a lot activity during the day and the night and it makes things really easy for solo travelers to socialize. People party quite a lot in the hostel but things are pretty well organized to keep things calm and silent for people who don't want to party every night. SO I was not disturbed at all by other travelers while staying in the hostel or coming back earlier. So very nice experience overall. Thanks a lot to everybody. All the best for future. Hope to come back one day !

First off, let's talk about Eoin, the hostel manager. This dude is the epitome of chill. He welcomed me like an old friend, making sure I felt right at home from the get-go. Eoin's vibe is infectious – he's laid-back, social, and genuinely cares about his guests. Whether he's cracking jokes at the front desk or organizing a group outing, you can bet Eoin's got everything under control. And then there's Fabio – the unsung hero of my stay. I managed to leave behind something pretty important when I checked out, and Fabio came to the rescue. This guy went above and beyond to track down my missing possession and get it back to me. Talk about customer service! Fabio's attention to detail and dedication to helping guests (even after I've already checked out) is seriously impressive. Now, let's talk about the digs. The bed bunks were next-level – seriously, I've never slept in a comfier bunk in my life. They're custom-designed and super sturdy, plus the curtains gave me some much-needed privacy. It felt like my own little sanctuary in the midst of the hostel hustle and bustle. Overall, my stay at this hostel was nothing short of epic. Between Eoin's hospitality, Fabio's heroics, and the killer bed bunks, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a rad place to crash in Barcelona, this is it. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
The 7 minute walk to get to the nearest Metro. Not a deal breaker though.
