Location is fantastic, 3 minutes away from metro station and 30 min walk to Plaza de Catalunya. Room was big and spacious, as well as the bathroom. The quarter is full of bars, either for breakfast or for having a drink at night. It's wonderful touch that you can get water and very good quality coffee all day and night along for free. The staff was very kind, we stored our luggage both at the arrival and the day of the departure and they booked a taxi for us. The breakfast served at hotel is very good, with not so big selection of foods, but of a great quality.

The wi-fi signal in the room was sometimes weak. Moreover, sometimes there was unpleasant smell in the room, but that's the problem of the drainage in the whole city.

Convenient location, safe area. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when my aircon had issues. The free tea and lemons were also appreciated, especially as I came down with a slight cold and needed something warm. Room was neat and tidy, spacious for a solo traveller.

The walls can be thin. I was frequently woken up by the banging of doors from the occupants next door, amongst other nightly activities. Might want to travel with earplugs. Lighting was a bit dim, but no big inconvenience there.

The staff is extremely service oriented and knowledgeable. I asked for several things and was not disappointed. The location is very near a City Market. There are many small interesting shops there. In addition, the restaurant options are very good. Walking to Gaudi's Basilica is perhaps 20 minutes with many sights along the way. The room is small but suitable for a solo traveler with a backpack like me.

There is only one usable electric outlet and it's in the bathroom. This must be a common complaint since the moment I mentioned it, an extension was provided with multiple outlets. It's not an elegant solution, but it worked. Just be careful not to trip in the dark.

The hotel was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a great deal of variety to choose from. The staff was wonderful! The rooms were very small, but comfortable and our view across the street was beautiful.

The rooms are quite small, and when you have three people in a room with large suitcases, it’s a little difficult to spread out and have space for everything. It reminded me of a dorm room. It was just a bit smaller than we were used to. We also had difficulty with the shower because the floor is slanted to go to the drain and was a bit slippery.

Via Augusta is a very nice hotel with perfect ratio between price and added value. It has great position - close to city, but already quite enough, so you can sleep. We had room with windows to the inside block, which was actually an advantage, because it was super quite and our "sleep quality" meter confirmed that :-). Breakfast in the morning was very good, all was supplied if missing, so not only early morning guests had everything :-). With a big variety of everything. Higher European / world standard :-). The main public transport is easy - two close metro stations (Gracia is the nearest, Fontana the second one), so 2 different metro lines. Plus busses. Many restaurants and bars nearby, so eating over the day and in the evening was very easy, with variety of tastes.

I already made a small recommendation at reception - I didn't find any item how to ask the cleaning stuff not to do my room. It was a short stay, 3 days, so I wanted to save a bit environment - unnecessary washing, energy etc. However, they cleaned my room :-(. I mean, somebody may require it, but not me - I can sleep in the bed with the same linen for 3 days for sure :-). At reception they said that the "plate" is there, so maybe I just didn't find it at my room. :-) For sure the hotel staff appreciated the environmentalist attitude :-)

We had a great stay at Hotel Via Augusta. The room was very comfortable, clean and the beds were incredibly nice to sleep in. The bathroom had everything we needed and was modern. The location was very close to the metro stations (Gracia & Fontana) and bus stations, so everywhere we wanted to go was easily reached. We also enjoyed the view from the small terrasse on the 9th floor that had a nice view. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful with everything we asked about/for and very friendly. One thing we especially enjoyed was the water dispenser at the ground floor!

One thing that disrupted our stay quite a bit tho was the fact that there was currently construction work done within the hotel, which lasted for the last 2 days during our stay. This was especially irritating as the construction was done directly next to or above our room. The construction did only take place during the midday but it was very loud (we were not able to talk to each other in our room at times, let alone get some siesta rest) and I would have really liked to be informed beforehand.

Common areas were nice Location is great Room was comfy although small... Free coffee machine outside breakfast hours is fantastic!!

Breakfast is varied but not really good quality, eggs were usually cold, for example, and the ingredients in general were not really good...I paid extra for it so it was a bit disappointing.

Central location, minutes walk from Gracia Metro stop. Reception/Lounge and breakfast area well thought out and appealing. The staff were always available, friendly ,and helpful. Housekeeping was also available everyday on request, and they always left the room spotless.

The hotel should provide a toilet brush in every room. I am sure most guest would clean up after themselves, so the poor housekeeping staff don't have to clean up that :-)
